Lott Dod getting the portfolio for commerce and economics is the hidden golden path to the perfect peaceful transformation of the Republic, since the Trade Federation so egregiously stepping ahead of the line and stepping all over the Inter-Galactic Banking Clan's rightful claim, and the IGBC were always more ambiguous and circumspect about supporting Separatism and only really committed on Geonosis in the first place.

actually @Magoose are any write-ins allowed, as long as they're not metagaming, and interesting flavorful problems and solutions for the Binks administration?

unironically I was thinking of an IGBC senator as a more traditional "respectable" intertwining of the banking system and the Senate, as opposed to the new money commodity kings and exchange corsairs of the Trade Federation. Someone like Rush Clovis as an early kinda moderate loosely in Padme's and Palpatine's circles before selling completely out and trying to play the game.

Mostly a copy of The A Team, but I choose Karossi instead Jensen, since his 'gets things done' approach sound like a better fit for a radical reformist administration. Especially when the Corporate Interests are probably going to try to sink the economy the instance we try to enforce basic regulations; like the 'No, you can't get away with invading planets with your private droid security forces' laws

Appoint Jansen as Vice Chancellor

Fall down the stairs

Suddenly it's a "technocrat" quest
Jensen doesn't want the job and unlike us Jar Jar is too nice to force him into it.
...why not nominate Papa palpatine to vice so we can die in one round easy ? :V
Because his sickliness and the way he backed us for candidate make that move incredibly weakening when it comes to our own influence and would negatively impact his future chances to run for Supreme Chancellor. For now at least it's just not a winning move.

Lets give Jenson a break and let the Technocrat return to the comforting shadows of obscurity. We're going to need flexibility due to the unpredictability of the dice, and Jenson hasn't got much of that. Koliya, on the other hand, (probably) does, and is good at producing tangible results— something we'll need in order to stay in power and acquire support.
