Armstrong has become an official Senator in the USA. There are Solid Snake (Composite, timeline up to Smash Ultimate), Big Boss and ORIGINAL FIRST GAME SNAKE. We can obtain a Metal Gear if we manage to Infiltrate an US Military facility (read: Area 51 and similar), but with Armstrong overseeing that part of US Military, it would be suicide.
Guts and Grifith are from before "THAT" moment in Berserk, before the "Black Knight Arc" but after Grifith is rescued. Also, the kingdom of Falconia doesn't exist anymore because it had the bad luck of spawning near Mordor. But our main cast is still kicking.
The Snake from the very first game, before any growth and other game, is now a separate entity. So, we have a Snake that just finished their first mission (First Game), the Big Boss, and the one who went thru EVERY GAME and has faced Galeem, Dharkron and Tabuu.
Oh, that guy. They exist, but don't own the "Composite" Las Vegas. "His" Vegas and ours combined, and he was left with nothing. Also, the robot army hasn't appeared with him, so he is just Some Guy.
I know Game of Thrones, but I am reluctant of putting it in. Maybe as an Off-World realm that can be accessed thru New Zealand (Where The Middle Earth is now).
Finally, they are shocked at the advancements that the world has made, but are currently interested in NOT DYING. Ther are new dangers now (Thank Dark Souls, Kingdom Heart and similar games for that).
And, before anyone asks, there is no "Ultra-Mutant Disease that destroys the World" running around. The Zombies that exist are from Plants Versus Zombies, and the only true disease that could kill someone is Covid. In fact, due to this Quest existing, it is easier to contract the disease. It is also easier to make a cure for it.

Realistically speaking, only the Composite Snake had the History. Snake Classic has no real way of... becoming Long-Term Snake. They were taken from the end of their story, and in this new world, there is no real reason for the other Metal Gear Games to take place.
TLDR:Timelines are confusing. The "Classic" Metal Gear series Could - technically- continue the normal way, but it is unlikely. Besides, the Snakes are in OUR world Now. Not their own.

He's very skilled at combat as he has taken all 5 of the Teen Titans on at once and won, although that may be thanks to the suit, which grants the ability to create tools, weapons, explosions, electricity and even short range teleportation using Zynothium.)

A good example are the Robin Hood characters: they are based on beings that existed in History, but aren't them exactly. Jhon Lackland is not OUR version, it's the Robin Hood Legends version. Same with other works of fiction that namedrop AND present a slightly different version of someone who existed in our reality.
