Metroid: Decay

The group stepped out of the elevator several minutes later, just as soon as it stopped close to the end of the tracks. Samus looked up through the glass ceiling, and nodded. "Okay, this is as far as the tram can go until we're sent into deep space."

"We have eyes, Aran." Higgs said, while Samus just sighed.

"I am merely stating a fact." Samus said, as the doors slid open in front of them, with the corpse of a Reptillicus falling through the doors. It hit the ground, causing Chloe to jump while Anthony and Nova simply brandished their weapons. Samus scanned it quickly, before she nodded. "Bryyo native..." She said, before she looked up. And with that, her eyes widened.

In front of her was a bog, and right above it, was the remains of a desert landscape, with sand leaking into it. Structures from the two locations clashed, as rubber and lining, hastily added by maintenance drones, appeared to keep the harsh vacuum of space out. In front of her, the two environments seemed to clash, as their machinery desperately tried to keep their environments at the appropriate temperatures. "...That's...unusual." Samus said.

"You think?" Nova said, flatly. "...Fuckin' weird."

"What's stranger is that the CC's still working." Anthony said. "Climate Control usually has a safety shut-off in case this kinda shit happens, right, Charles?"

"Yeah." Charles said. "This says that something's broken. Then again, that covers most of the ship." He chuckled a little. "Anyway...yeah. Weird." Just as he said that, Nova felt something brush against her leg. With a single shot, she fired at the ground, only for the offending creature to suddenly vanish.

"...What the fuck." She murmured.

"That makes reaching the upper floor a fair amount easier." Samus said. "...Though it's still rather high up."

"Understatement." Chloe said. "It's a fucking mile up..."

"Actually, it's only about four-hundred meters above our heads." Samus said. "...And there's a structure that can lead us up." She pointed her cannon to one tree, reaching high into the air. "We'll reach that, and then we can get up to the desert sector. From there, we can reach potential survivors."

The others nodded, before Samus held her gun up, ready. "So, uh...go?"

"We go." Samus said. "Let's move."

...15 rounds for a pistol, in a universe where pests and parasites can eat through Samus's power armor.

Why does the Federation hate its security guards so much? :p
