Okay then. A Honda Gyro with a hover mode. I know this guy. Just knock on the door three times, say "Marty sent me", ask for Doc Brown, and pay NO attention to the empty plutonium cannisters.
Just because, I'm going to state the following: I have no plans for Taylor to replace the moped. She may whine about it not being useful in the rain, but the moped was a gift and to replace it without good reason would be wrong in her eyes. That and she's pragmatic enough to realize that taking the bus isn't that bad, she's just annoyed because she wants to focus on secret stuff and can't due to too many people around.
Can someone explain how this is happening because from what i read Varga!Verse Shards are the same Mual!Verse Shards only difference is the connection has been upgraded so unless this is purposeful character wanking i'm gonna have say to my SOD is broken

What the Family has noticed is that shards who spend a lot of time around Varga tend to get a lot smarter, and with fewer restrictions. Also, if the user has a symbiote even more restrictions on shard operations are removed. This has been referred to as Smugnet by some people. It is a quite visible in story difference to characters who don't interact with the Family.

True! On the other hand, the TV version of Lisa (and her snark) have had to reboot due to Out of Cheese errors so often that the snark has been forced to evolve beyond what the Entities likely thought possible. Lisa also has an additional node of neural tissue which the snark happily uses to increase it's own processing capability (DATA!NomNom.exe), thus no longer has to cause brain damage (the thinker headaches) and again has caused it to evolve. Her and TV!Amy both have snarks which are practically sentient, and quite happy with the situation. You know, cause DATA!NomNom.exe is getting ALL the Data.
EDIT: By this point I wouldn't be surprised if TV!Lisa's snark is impossible for a certain nutsoid shard collector to collect. As well as impossible for a certain Worthy Foe obsessed idiot to drain to fuel himself. Might even be incompatable with Scion and Eden by this point. Heck, L33t's shard has even stopped trying to kill him because it's gotten access to Data!NomNom.exe and is enjoying Smugnet. Well, that and it was intimidated by Varga into playing nice.

The Shards that are in close proximity to the Varga are, for reasons so far not explained, slowly altering their operating characteristics. Ones that are attached to people who have been upgraded by The Amy with her neural processor modification to run the bioconstructs she designed are altering faster than ones that aren't so attached, at least partly because of the hugely increased data availability causing them to hop up and down with glee. It is becoming apparent that Shards are all networked together (essentially canon) and this self-directed upgrade path due to wanting ALL THE DATA NOW PLEASE is spreading to other Shards that come into contact with ones that have changed.
How far this will go is currently not explained either, but it affects almost all Parahumans who have close contact with Family members in one way or another. Effectively the Shards are evolving due to completely changed circumstances and new sources and types of data, which you'll note is exactly what they're meant to do in canon. It's just in this case the data is so far out of context to what they were evolved to cope with that they're having issues handling it. And, it would appear, when they start to succeed, they begin to become less and less compatible with original ShardOS V1.00.
That's not surprising, they've more or less got an upgrade to a 64 bit OS while the originals are running 16 bits, and while the new ones are backward compatible (and somewhat amused about it) the original ones are not forward compatible. Hence the confusion of Maul's Snark, which has just had the equivalent experience of something like an original IBM PC being connected to an 8 processor Core I7 system with half a terabyte of ram and asked to simulate the results.
Poor thing is a little overwhelmed
Maul is also finding that V2.0.04.Lizard Snarks are a bit more snarky (although that might just be Lisa's influence, thinking about it) and considerably more self-aware.
Edit: A slightly more long-winded explanation than the one above, which was posted while I was writing this one
Another edit: Also remember this is just a bit of fun and shouldn't necessarily be seen as canon to either actual canon, MS, or TV. Although it's fairly consistent in most ways with the last of those even so.

Maybe they could get the Triumvirate to make a hole in one of the walls? I'm sure Eidolon has a power that'll let him do that, never mind Legend's lasers or Alexandria being able to punch through pretty much anything.
It's not that easy. The problem isn't so much razing the walls themselves, or better, not just razing the walls. It's about deconstructing the foundations to rebuild the infrastructure needed for those cities. Roads, Railways, probably sewers, and so on. The cities were totally isolated; just making a few holes is nice and all, but not enough. And if they were really domed, then punching a few holes could collapse the dome and kill most people inside; probably an intended safety feature and the intended failsafe result, which makes deconstructing it without collapse all the more difficult.
And that's without all the tinkertech (and normal tech) traps and safeguards intended to kill anyone trying to dismantle the walls.
So yeah, it's complicated business. And it will take years of work even after clearing everyone inside.
Because it's next to impossible to actually ban someone and prevent them from creating a new account? Better to use temp bans that they then respect, than using a permaban and have them create new accounts by the dozens.
Yeah, Bacuda could have done a lot of good. Some of her bombs were inspiredly insane. With directions and help she'll be able to do truly wondrous things. Armsmaster will probably hate her; all those achievements and he just gets credited with assists, if at all.
The way I see it is that while TV-Smugnet shards have been forced to become more technically advanced, Maul-snarks have always seemed to have more personality and I guess will/self-determination. In TV, Inference Engine just kept beating it's head against the concept of the Varga, but here we see Broadcast Admin having doubt, fear, and hesitation, making it more of a character than a thing.

As CmptrWz has written them his versions of Shards are certainly as much characters as anyone else is. Which I like to see.
My versions are... somewhat different, but also evolving in their own way Inference Engine has, though, had a very hard time of it for a few months and probably deserves a break...

Trust me, LoD has this correct. I use a VPN based in a nation that has a mad on for the US government, but no real way to do anything about it -- except that the VPN I use is located in their nation, and they allow anything. I can torrent, I can hide, I can do anything I like, and when "I" am traced to the nation, the trace ends there, and the local law officials tell the FBI and Interpol to go pound sand. It's a petty revenge, but better than nothing, and I (along with others) take advantage of it.
The only limit is that I'm too... Me. If I made more than one account here, it wouldn't last long because I'd sound too much like myself. Even a namechange wouldn't be enough, the admins would know it was me almost immediately.
Now, for someone with a more adaptable, mercurial personality and access to the specific VPN I use, well... SpaceBattles wouldn't be able to stop them.
Not short of banning entire nation-states from making accounts.

Good point... I assumed that getting people out of the Q-zone first would be a priority, so I didn't think of the rebuilding bit, but you're right, it'd take ages to rebuild everything.
*facepalm* And I completely forgot that they'd have tinkertech/normal tech failsafes. And the older zones would be even harder to rebuild.

Agreed. She might even have been able to make an anti-Endbringer bomb, given enough time and resources. *shrugs* He might. Or he might get credit for miniaturizing her bombs so they're easier to deploy. Imagine a launch system for hundreds of mini Gray Boy bombs.
The problem is the Quarantine Containment Zones were never intended to let people leave. There likely isn't even an exit. So the walls have to come down before they can do anything else, at least in one section.

Fanon often has Xx_Void_Cowboy_xX be Greg Veder... but what if it was actually an Artificial Stupidity made by Dragon for the purpose of seeing just what is allowed within the limits of her restrictions? The result is basically not useful for anything, but its only means of interaction is via PHO so actually permabanning the poor thing would be horribly cruel and probably finish driving it completely insane. At least here she can finally ask Mom and get permission to finish the job right... (Target locked, bays open! All the hugs, away!)

The interdimensional parts of the Snarks go sideways. This is called a reality set.
Each reality set has their own sets of Snarks which are ONLY throughout that reality set.
Moving in any way VERTICALLY means going to a different reality set with a different set of Snarks.
When Maul was moved, she went up and to the left which has thus placed her into a different reality set with different Snarks (hence her trouble communicating with them).
TV comes from yet a THIRD reality set with again different Snarks.
This was explained in a bit more depth early in the omake series.
I'm... not sure. The next part from me at least will jump back to the TV thread, and after that we'll have to see. It might be even more confusing for some people if we put it into a separate thread, since there's no particular reason to believe new readers would have read either story. Which would definitely cause some puzzled looks, and most likely lots of shouts of 'No, no, you got it wrong, canon didn't do that!"
With all the attendant drama such things tend to bring...
Mauling Canon may also continue in non-crossover form at some point as well. As amusing as the crossover is, I have other ideas bouncing around for things that Maul might get up to in canon without lizards having shown up. Not enough for a full story, though.
