Well, the bandwagon has bandwagoned fast and hard for this vote. I think I'm going to go on and call the vote in an hour or so, so if someone could do a tally around then for me?
[X] Christopher Marlowe Murdock No. of votes: 1 Eri
The tally program doesn't count pictures, but it should be obvious who won.
Most of the time I don't have an opinion on character names/looks in quests, but perhaps I will vote in the future if this turns out to be interesting.
Excellent work @Aeraxis, you get a Fate point, which you can spend for something special, like an NPC or event.
[X] Daryl Lexington
Is obviously the winning vote. We had 26 voters, +2 for the first picture votes, and a base of 20 XP. So you guys have a total of 48 XP you can spend on Magic right off the bat. Daryl's picture trait is hereby 'Social Network Specialist' This gives a significant boost to all things related to social networking, from text messaging to facebook. You often know your friends schedules and plans better than they do.
Daryl sits in his new room, surrounded by packed boxes from the move. It's hard to believe that it's all come to this. His dad on the West Coast with his new girlfriend, and him and his mom here in Dryden, Ohio. It's a long way from where he grew up in the outskirts of Boston. But his Mother (Nicole) couldn't afford to keep them in Boston, especially since she couldn't find a job there in time, so here they are, two blocks over from his Aunt Dany (Danielle), who helped mom find a job (Secretary at a law firm) and house here.
He was also going to be a Senior in two weeks at Dryden High School. And he was the going to be the new kid. He didn't have the smarts or the physical conditioning to make his mark in sports or knowledge competitions, his talents lay in his large network of friends and his almost supernatural ability to know what they planned to do and when.
Which if he was still in Boston would have meant that he would be going into his Senior year as one of the popular kids. But here in Dryden, unless he found a way to make a mark, then he'd just be another drop in the bucket till he graduated.
And if all that wasn't enough, he had discovered that he could do magic at the beginning of summer. It was right before the divorce had been finalized, and he was feeling down, so his friends and his girlfriend had dragged him out for one last big party at a bonfire out in the boonies. It was good to have that one last party before he moved out to Dryden, but it was sad as hell as that was the party that he and Rebecca decided that they couldn't do a long distance relationship.
When he got home, his mother was already asleep, the house half full of boxes full of his dad's (Phillip) stuff, waiting on the movers to ship it to San Diego. He was a little buzzed from wine coolers, and fell down the stairs. God, was that terrifying, he could feel his arm break when he hit the floor. But before he could panic, he felt a warmth cover his arm, and it stopped hurting. He told his mom that he just tripped in the dark, and the next morning was willing to put it off as just being drunk, until he made his finger glow, like something out of ET.
When the moved to his Aunt Dany's house in Dryden the following week so his mother could start her new job and start looking for a house, he took every oppurtunity to practice with his magic while they were at work, discovering the incredible things he could do. That it gave him somthing to do that distracted him from his parents divorce was nice too.
So, two weeks till school starts, where he has no friends, hell, where no one even knows who he is, coming off from the worst year in his life.
But he has fucking magic, and he's going to makehis Senior year the best goddamn year of his life, no matter what.

@JhonCollins, you only have 4 actions per turn, and ten actions in your plan. You need to pair it down a bit, you've still got 3 more votes after this before school starts, so plenty of time (Actions)
Edit* And I realize that I didn't put action costs on the magic options. *facepalm.
