The others are introduced to Kikuko about her attempt at spying, unfruitful it may be for now. If they aren't against it, I think doubling down on that isn't that bad of a thing, show to the rest of the team that you are attempting for that spot in the role dynamic.

Downside is that we miss out on the first full team bonding experience, and establishes a divide between Kikuko and the rest. But I think that's going to happen anyway if secrets are kept, and the worst case scenario is a time-sensitive need for Kikuko to join in combat, but chances are what 4 rookies plus a mentor can't face is not easily solved by one additional rookie, and by that point secrecy is least of the problems.

I want to shadow, but maybe will good to get out of our comfort zone.
Leaving our wallflower existence behind is scary, tiring and it takes a lot of effort, but being socialized into the group brings a lot of security.

Input on the conversation could be important, and I do think a little social time will help.

Hmmm. I feel like this doesn't bode well for just, the general situation with Midori going forward. Despite what she said about not letting her feelings get in the way of working together a while back, since then she's still seemed pretty dang attached to us. The fact that Kikuko doesn't seem to reciprocate at all so far is plenty fair, but I'm certainly concerned about how well or not Midori might take it.

Aside from that, pretty interesting details and stuff dropping in general, though I don't currently have enough brainpower to confidently try to piece together any guesses or theories from the rest.

Uhhh, as for the vote, gonna hold off for now. I feel like tailing the group might give us another shot at digging for info while they're distracting the owners, but at the same time having some sort of input in the conversation might be a good idea as well. And from a social standpoint, I feel like both options have pretty much perfectly inverted pros and cons from each other; going as a ghost would stave off immediate socializing but might lead to unwanted suspicions later, while remaining transformed would be a way to avoid the unwanted stress of being seriously questioned by the group down the line, but also plays into Kikuko's avoidant tendancies by choosing the lesser of two evils from her perspective.

I'd like to emphasize the non-ghostly side of our existence. It's been a long time since I argued to not let death get to us too much, but the sentiment remains.

This is our first outting as a team, so I think that staying with the group to the bookshop would be better for our group's trust and coherence.

Disappearing from the group just sets up the wrong impression. Not being around has a cover of Nel saying that our MC is looking into another matter or is basically just out of sync due to being the other shift. Available when they're not because she's busy when they're free.

But the others know that Kikuko is around right now.
