Minor Announcement
24 hours until voting locks.

Also, updates are likely to be more sporadic during this upcoming month of December. Finals, of course. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My Beta and I have also been throwing around ideas for a spinoff project of sorts; a series of Omake chapters focusing on another Magical Girl team and their mishaps, a few years prior to the main events here. She'll be writing, but I'll be posting it under my own name. There's a fair bit we've hashed out, but one thing that continues to elude us... Where should it be set? So, we decided to let you pick. Then she'll write the first installment, to help fill the gap during the upcoming semi-hiatus.*

Setting? (Fictional small town near this city, not directly in it)
> Minneapolis, USA
> Cape Town, South Africa
> Sidney, Australia

*(I still will be working on it, mind you. Just not as frequently as I would prefer.)

[X]Sidney, Australia

I wish we were allowed a write-in for this because there are tons of places I'd love to see that aren't nearly as... Overrated, as Australia, but of the three I have to admit that it's got the most potential to be an exciting backdrop.

Just out of curiosity, what places were you thinking of?

China maybe? Thats rare

Close, but I had actually been thinking of Laos or Vietnam, because I think the Hang Sơn Đoòng would be an amazing place to serve as the backdrop for an adventure, be it magical in nature or not. Imagine Made in Abyss but without the depression.
Or, if Spoopy was wanting the sidestory to be less adventure and more horror but didn't want to go with somewhere overdone like Chernobyl, I've heard stories of some very spoopy stuff happening in the Ruby Mountains of Elko County, Nevada.

Still not caught up from the last Q&A but I should throw my tuppence into this one while I have the chance

[X]"So you're death... what does that cover exactly? Is your purview only the cessation of life functions and cognition in humans, sapient life in general, or all living organisms? Or are you perhaps a more broad embodiment of entropy, assigned the role of 'death' as that is most immediately recognisable expression of that phenomenon to my human mind?"

Not closing votes on the Q&A just yet (going to leave the location voting open for a few days after this, also) but I did want to note something. I made a horrible mistake with the location poll. Cape Cod is in Massachusets. The city in South Africa I was thinking of is Cape Town. Since people already voted I won't ask for any retroactive changes, but I wanted to make sure everyone knows Cape Town was the location I meant, and apologize for my insensitive blunder.

Inserted tally - voting is locked. Note that the location voting is still open, even if they wound up being included in this tally.

[X] What are the metaphorical rules here anyway? Can you, like, take a vacation day or does that cause the concept of death to go kaput?
    - [X] On a totally unrelated note is there anything you like to do to unwind?
-- [X] Not that I'm like asking you out or anything I swear I'm just curious! Totally! Noooooo ulterior motives here! None!
[X] You have me taking care of some of these corrupted spirits now. Did you have to do it all yourself before?
[X] Do you know how long the last poltergeist had been there? Or when the person had died?
[X] Do you think the new poltergeist has been created by the same person?
[X] If we do have someone running around creating poltergeists- what is the end game for us? I rather doubt it's stop/free the poltergeists till the murderer dies of old age.
[X] Do you know where the location of the spirit in the town is? Easier to just go to a fight when people probably won't be there.
[X] What do you know about the Ruling and the Emperor back in prehistory?
[X] When we talked in the graveyard, you acted like these guys only started showing up recently, but according to them they've been around for ages. Were you just being cagey, orrr...?
[X] What can you tell me about Magical Girls in general?

[x] Alright, spill. What is the big secret of passing through walls?
[x] Are there people I can talk to about ghost stuff? Maybe someone who could help me figure grost-rules by which I am now bound?

Little disappointed that nobody commented that it's spelled Sydney.
Actually, I probably would've recommend Hobart over Sydney for a spooky setting, since Tasmania has a bit of a reputation as 'Australia's Transylvania'.

Also hi there from someone who just gotten back in and caught up, from way back early in the Quest.

Friendly reminder the spinoff location vote is still open. Finals are soon but I've been writing when I can. The scene itself will be relatively simple, it's just a matter of finding the time to work on it.

Finally settling in to the new semester now, so the next update should be up relatively soon. In the meantime, I'm going to call a close to the location vote. Looks like we're going with Australia.

I haven't forgotten about this just yet; had to make some revisions that set the update back a ways. It's gone through a few too many drafts for my liking at this point, but we're getting there.

Been having an awful time of it lately; not out of the woods just yet either. But I can see the light, and it looks a lot like a really long and boring conversation with Death.

I realize now that the phrasing of the previous post may have sent the wrong message. I meant 'light at the end of the tunnel' light, not 'go into the light' light. No intention to act on my darker impulses here, just wanted to inform everyone I'm nearly finished with Kikuko's Q&A.

Still, please take care of yourself and stay safe.
