[z] Study: So you could be a great tactician instead? A general even.
- [z] Strategy, DC 80
Roll: 299+1 (Sena Kumo) =300+35+30=360
A tremendous success!
As Phoenix Financial is expanding into other territories, Loki knows it's time to expand his mind and learn more about strategy. Hitting the books and watching others, and learning from the past, Loki improves his Strategic mind 100 fold. He's not...Odin or anything, but he definitely has a mind to match a great general. Hopefully he won't have to use it but...that was being incredibly optimistic.

[z] Recruit Assistants. DC 45
Roll:465
A godly success!
Looking for assistants isn't easy. And Loki isn't...the best with people, though he's learning. But somehow, someway, some kind of...recruiting god seems to have smiled down upon Loki (or maybe it's the sheer success of his company) as he found seemingly the best assistants that anyone could offer.
Loki recognized some of the people applying, such as Elym, Astrid, and...Osmond? He didn't expect Osmond to go for such a job. Maybe it was his way of being a friend? Or maybe he needed the money? Loki couldn't tell either way.
But beyond them, were two others, Sisters named Amora (who's name he remembered, mostly for almost killing Thor accidentally) and Lorelei, who were unknowns, but clearly bright people with good work ethic.
Choose 2.
[] Assistant: Elym
[] Assistant: Amora
[] Assistant: Lorelei
[] Assistant: Osmond
[] Assistant: Astrid
Beyond them, Loki found six other competent assistants to do his bidding.

[z] Recruit Magicians/Sorcerers. DC 65
Roll: 170
A great success!
Good sorcerers (or sorceresses) are hard to come by, but Loki somehow finds a few. He can of course hire more generic magic users, but they need to be taught Enchantment and Binding and Sealing. Amora on the other hand, appears to have both, and claims to have been tutored by the greatest sorceress in the universe. While Loki doesn't remember his mother teaching anyone...maybe there was someone else out there?
And Lorelei was her sister, who could be taught by her, and her powers were...well she claims she's good with people and getting them to do what she wants them to. Especially men. That doesn't sound too great to Loki because of the implications, but it would be useful to have on his side.
[] Magic: Amora
[] Magic: Lorelei
[] Magic: 3 Generic Magic users

[z] Make Peace with Thor. Once and for all. DC 50
Roll: 199
It takes a big man to apologize, especially when he's not sure what he's done wrong. But Loki has no issues doing just that, especially to his brother Thor (who is undoubtedly the much bigger man physically). Thor had proven he was ready to go to war and to escalate anything done between them and Loki...Loki honestly wanted no part in a feud with his brother. When Loki explained this to Thor and apologized from the bottom of his heart, his brother was happy to accept and make up. A powerful hug and smiles, and a statement to solidify.
"Of course, brother. Water under the bridge."
Thor and Loki are now more friendly and brotherly.

[z] Improve Phoenix Financial's capabilities. DC 45 (Locked)
Roll: 176
An outstanding success!
Improving Phoenix Financial isn't really...hard. With the amount of wealth the company (and Loki) have amassed, it's really almost child's play. Even so, it's kinda surprising how much it improves and how quickly. In just this time period alone, Phoenix Financial adds on banking capabilities, trading, and investments. In all, it does everything a financial institute can do. At least for now...who knows what the future brings.
[z] Build a new Phoenix Financial branch.
- [z] Vanaheim. DC 35
Roll: 59+35=94
A tremendous success!
As will everything else Phoenix Financial, expanding and creating a new branch in Vanaheim also goes well. The Vanir seem to embrace Phoenix Financial and love the new job creation and the wealth it brings, and thus it's quite easy to build and entirely new branch with full capabilities, including the ones that were just added recently.
Overall, it does relieve some of the pressure on the Asgard/Main branch, but more is still needed to handle the sheer amount of business coming in. And more that will come from increased abilities (like banking, trading, and investments).
Vanaheim has a new full branch, with full capabilities.
- [z] On Titan. DC 55
Roll: 6+35=41
Failure.
The Titans don't...know Asgard as well as Vanaheim does, and almost none of the rapport is there. Thus it makes sense that they're more...hesitant to accept a Phoenix Financial Branch and all that comes with it. As such, they politely decline, but would like to keep Phoenix Financial's services.
Though there does seem to some interest. Mostly from a younger genius member of the race. Though he remains in the shadows for now.
Titan likes your service but declines the new branch. One of the younger upstarts is looking into you.
[z] Open up trade with these other planets, outside of the realms. DC 50
- [z] With Sigyn (Primary)
Roll: 15+35+20=70
Success!
With Sigyn's help, Loki manages to negotiate a good amount of trade with the other realms. He doesn't get the state of the art technology or scientific breakthroughs, but he is able to get one generation back, as well as knowledge of history and spacefaring, and exotic (at least to Asgard) goods.
Overall it's a pretty good haul. Thanks to Loki's beloved.
[z] Look elsewhere for more guards. One could never have enough. DC ???
- [z] With Sigyn (Secondary)
Roll: 89+35+10, CRIT, 1+35=170
Finding guards isn't difficult, but it also isn't easy. With his beloved's help, Loki locates a few places where he could possibly get what he needs, though some of them...he doesn't like. Options of criminals and unofficial fighters that may be strong cause distaste for Loki but...they are viable options. Especially with binding contracts.

[z] Improve your Science-Math Workshop. DC 50
- [z] With Osmond (Primary)
Roll: 66+35+5+7+35=148
An amazing success!
Working with his new friend, Loki manages to greatly improve the Science-Math workshop. Together they're able to offer advanced sciences and maths for others to work on, and supplement it with information from other societies outside of the Nine Realms.
Another improvement, and the workshop might be able to produce things, and be seen as almost a lab.
[z] Use your vast wealth to gain insight on others. (Establish a Spy Network/Rumor Mill). DC ???
Roll: 277
Success!
Wealth makes everything easy. And that includes establishing a Spy Network. Given that Loki has business....everywhere, literally, it's even easier to establish a sort of network of information. The more confidential information is a lot harder, but it's still possible via wealth and a bit of stealthy movement. As of right now, wherever there is business, Loki is getting information.

Learning:
[z] Visit the Library
- [z] Learn something new. DC 30
Roll: 11+20=31
Loki barely has enough time to stop by the library and read a few books. Despite his wealth, Loki still enjoyed learning, and during this time he does manage to learn something, though it's not much. What does he learn?
[] Finance
[] Technology
Magic:
[z] Enchant Something.
- A way for Phoenix Financial's employees to tell if someone is lying.
Roll: 19+15.5=34.5
Loki is able to enchant a sort of lie detector test, though he's not sure a great liar wouldn't be able to fool it. Either way, he only has one right now, which he puts over the Phoenix Financial main building, and he's not able to make something small enough for an employee to wear or use.
Personal:
[z] Relationships: Spend time with some of your favorite people in the world!
- [z] Sigyn
Roll: 37
With her helping out so much with Phoenix Financial, Loki feels it's only right to spend time with her that has absolutely nothing to do with his business. And so they talk and cuddle, and walk, and discuss life. Their conversations continue to go well, and Loki can see her as being someone who stays with him for the rest of her life. But it's too soon for those thoughts really. But still...
- [z] Thor
Roll: 27
Thor and Loki have a good relationship now, so spending time together doesn't take a lot. Nothing great happens, it's just brothers talking and hanging out, but Loki does probe a bit for what he will ask later. It seems like he's open to it, but Loki can't be 100% sure.
- [z] Osmond
Roll: 40
Osmond and Loki spend time, more even than they did on the workshop. It's kind of fun, hearing his intelligent friend's views on science and what can be done to improve it, as well as his thoughts on other things that he's...not quite an expert on. Osmond is many things. And surprisingly, good conversation is one of them.
[z] Ask a character to be a mentor/advisor
- [z] Thor, martial advisor
Roll: 76
Thor...says yes. He takes a lot of time to brag on how Loki needs him and how he's so strong and wise, and whatnot, absolutely loving that he can rub it in Loki's face but...he does say yes. And for that, Loki is thankful. The Sons of Odin can do a lot together if they're on the same side.
- [z] Sigyn, diplomacy advisor
Roll: 10
The ask of Sigyn is sort of cold and short, and Loki can tell she doesn't appreciate it. Nonetheless she agrees, mostly due to their relationship, though it will be rough at first. Loki will have to fix this...somehow.
Osmond has an idea he wants to share with Loki
[z] Hear him out
Roll: 41
Osmond's idea is...interesting? Troubling? Both? Overall, Osmond has suggested that he and Loki work together to...conduct biological science experiments on the willing, in order to advance society. Loki is noncommittal of course, and the idea could be fruitful, but it definitely is dangerous.
Sigyn wants to spend time with Loki
[z] Yes
Roll: 49
Despite the cold ask of Sigyn helping Loki with his diplomacy issues, she seems amenable to his apology and subsequent time spent together. By the end of it, the grudge is no more, and Loki thanks his lucky stars.
Frigga wishes to speak with Loki.
[z] Accept.
Roll: 63
The meeting with his mother is...something. At first it's positive and discussing Loki's success and the happenings of Asgard, but then it gets dark. Apparently Father is...well he's not dead, but he is out of commission due to...well she won't tell him that, only that it was something important. Loki tries to probe, but his mother does not budge. More over, she's there mostly to ask him to help keep this quiet and ask nothing of the crown for the time being, while Odin recovers. As he is, he's in Odinsleep and will be weak for a time being. Thor knows and now she's telling him.
Loki understands and appreciates her confidence in him, but he wishes it was under better circumstances.
