Kingdom of God: A Quest of Holy Revolution

That's certainly plausible in a remote enough area with sufficient public sympathy, as is funding from a foreign interest as mentioned before. We will likely have to fall back on pillage and ransom as any army on the march does, but going out of our way for it, immediately, just because we smelled coin on a commandant sets a precedent that we should be wary of.
If our operative plan to not be re-imprisoned is to shame the opposition into letting us go free, then it behooves to not aspire to be the ideal of bandithood. I do agree that we should leave this location posthaste, before our grand escape can be muffled away by the vile Jurors, but do not entirely agree with the criminal ambitions of some of my fellow disciples.
We are not pillaging or burning villages. We are holding a corrupt lying man who sold his vows and souls for money to justice and getting some money out of it. Who oppressed those he swore to protect and guide, and therefore spat in the face of God.

Every village and fort in the regions know how much of a useless leech this man was. This is not some act of highway banditry against innocents.

Yes. This is a good plan and a good deed, which is why I am supporting it, I am merely attempting to temper various claims to continuous banditry until the false Patriarch is overthrown.

Dearest friends, do not limit yourselves to personal hatred when pure hatred is within your reach! Do not despise the Komandir because his badness caused you harm; despise him for his failure to seek the good! Regardless of how corrupted the Eternal City has become - through the vileness of the Patriarch's advisors, perhaps - it was a crime for him to ignore the orders of his shepherd. His disobedience was not the righteous elevation of Truth over authority, but elevation of the Self over authority!

Clearly this man suffers from the pride that isolates. His soul cries out for remedy. He must be knocked down so that he may stand, killed so that he may live. If his death comes here and now, at the hands of his own and far from civilization, he shall never bear humility's yoke. I do not yet know what we shall do with him, but his journey is not over. Bring him with us!

There's still a reasonable discussion and votes coming in so we'll hold this to tomorrow to see if there's any changes.

Presumably this should be edited as well then, since it implies other stations could have been warned of our prison break (but the train is too far along towards us for them to warn it in time), by my reading at least.

So I reviewed this and what it's meant to mean is that the train is already in motion and it won't get any messages from other stations in time. So if you attack the Xococo railway station, and as it's being attacked Xococo gets a message out that it's being raided, the train conductor won't know about that message because you can't send a telegram to a moving train. Other stations will be alerted there was an attack on Xococo station but it won't do anything for the train which is what you need to happen - as long as you can hijack a train your plan is working.

Also @Old Guard asked which way the train is going: It's going southwest to Wertag, and is coming from Tekoko.

I have also edited and clarified that the nearest station is hours away, at least by train. That's days by horse.

We must not abandon that which matters to us most. It would be simple to bring him along and use him as we want. It will take discipline to try him when we feel the specter of time approaching us. Let us try him.

Purely to confirm what we should be expecting when we reach the next station, if we actually manage to hijack the train, this means there are telegram lines between the train stations and they will be forewarned of our arrival yes? Because again, that's how this is reading for me.

Also, have I mentioned that I like that our plan is to hijack a train, while it seems, holding our prison warden as a hostage and telling people "Why were we imprisoned bros? We were pardoned! See the injustice inherent in the system!"

For some reason I decided it was a good idea to try and track a possible travelling itinerary to the Eternal City on the map. I tried to crop the image so that most reasonable routes to Nachivan were included. Of course, this means we're going to need to go to Vadashta instead.

That is correct, and yes that is the plan, such as it is.

Crack of Dawn Vote
So this caught my attention, moreso for familiarity of the setting then for interest in it's contents, but I have decided to at least attempt to participate, and hopefully my representative within the setting does not gain a well-deserved reputation for idiocy and inattentiveness!
