Should Koujirou retain his Drying Pole?

No, no its not important. What is important is the fact that our character proven that she could use high ground effectively as in the source material.

... Damn you :^)

Saber was a king in a war filled country beset with enemies for 10 years. She probably knows a bit about warfare and tactical advantage.

I guess she went for the hill at Camlann due to the possibility of pushing back Mordred downhill? I don't know if it would even work, but I'm way too tired to post anything not filled with holes.

Edit: Such discussion, much facts, very biased.

Yeah, I know I suck at it. 3sleepy5this, I'll wait for QM's decision.

Uphill/downhill is more relevant in pitched battles than duels. Hills are strategic assets for vision, range, and defending against a charge (especially cavalry).

In swordfighting...I, personally, have no clue, because I've only ever done LARP with arming sword and round shield, which doesn't really give the same perspective as studying the finer points of katana duels. The best explanation I've seen for Obi-Wan's famous declaration is that he had studied all the options of saber dueling from such a position, and Anakin knew so. Since Sasaki/Yue has been shown effectively using high ground, I'd say it's pretty similar.

High ground seems good for defending against charging enemies. Maybe. My eyesight is blurry from sleepiness~

...Before I cast my vote, a question:
Hasn't the "High ground = Advantage" thing been disproven by science? Or am I misremembering that episode of MythBusters?
Kojiro breaks reality. It doesn't matter if high ground does not give advantage in reality, just like it don't matter that three sword swings cannot happen at the same time. To the master-wraith-swordsman(woman now), it does and it can. :V

You should probably not rely solely on Mythbusters to prove or disprove a given fact on anything, doubly so given that they were specifically trying to decide the merits of high ground and lightsabers, where first touch is death.

We are fighting against a wolf-monster (that was not explicitly mentioned to be wielding a sword), so whatever conclusion that Mythbusters came up with is not applicable here and completely irrelevant.

While those are good points, didn't we move past this topic already? The QM made his decision, and I've accepted why I was wrong.
In hindsight, I'm starting to agree that it doesn't matter all that much...

So I'd just like to state an observation of mine.

All of the girls except for Yuna went through some kind of emotional stress and, subsequently, developed as characters because of that.

Karin discovered that she can't do everything alone anymore, and that she enjoys having friends.

Fu discovered that she can't always be there for her girls, and that sometimes she has to let them "grow up."

Itsuki discovered that she can't always hide in Fu's shadow, and has to set goals for herself.

Togo discovered that wanting to commit a mass genocide/suicide crime is wrong.

But Yuna didn't go through any such changes...

I kinda want to rectify that.

Break her like glass thrown off a cliff-side!

Or corrupt her. Either way the Ebon Dragon is pleased. :V

Still I think she did have a character development. She went from naive optimism to wise optimism. Those who are optimists because they don't se the suffering in the world, recognize it for what it is, or ignore it versus those who can see the world's shit and are still optimists despite or maybe even because of it.

She never broke in the series, but that's because I think she broke in pieces and reforged herself instead of breaking all at once or letting herself go on and keep breaking over time.

>checks Yuki Yuna tag

One day I'll make Yuki Yuna as popular as Madoka on this site.
One day ;_;
In all honesty though, I like YuYuYu a lot more than Madoka. In YuYuYu, it actually gave me a lot more time to get to know and like the characters before the suffering hit. Personally, I think the scene with Fu discovering that Itsuki's dream of being a singer was shattered had more emotion in it than all of Madoka.

I still kinda feel like YuYuYu's ending was a bit asspully tho. I dunno, maybe we'll get more info in the sequel that's never coming.
