Love is Warmth beyond any Heat~

Curled up with Morada the sound of the "Two Legs" in the near yet far began to fade, their strange mouth noises blurring together, making other sounds come to be noticed.

Her heart beats in a rythmn you know deep in your bones, it's flavour of vibration and sound thudding calmingly through the shared physical contact.

The warmth of two lives embracing in comfort is a peaceful feeling, two heartbeats that communicate via touch and air, even in water you feel her heart when not touching.

The light shines in and around our territory, sparking and glinting against water, scales and the strange see through materials nearby.

The water makes it's own song when heard flowing, a rythmn different to my or Morada's heart, our bond and sounds merging with the sounds of Water, the "Two Legs" and their strange activities.

More sounds are gradually added to the background sussurrations, chimes of shiny rock that the "Two Legs" call "Metal" as they move about and use their strange toys nearby.

I listen to the flow of water, the metal tinging, chiming and shaking with deeper sounds that resonate longer and more loudly.

I begin to move my mouth as the sounds echo and interact with each other, soon beginning to try to copy them, my own attempts added to the existing vibrations in the ground, the air and water, all the while my heart and Morada's heart are felt at the core of all of it.

I start to rearrange the order of sounds that carry, a pattern of sounds being formed that I feel thrumming both within and without my body as well as that of Morada's smaller frame.

She is awake now watching me with a focused gaze as I emit sounds in patterns that interact, intersect and resonate with the ambience, more "Two Legs" gathering slowly nearby as I ignore them focused on the weaving of sounds and patterns of sound blending together.

The "Two Legs" have quietened, many sitting down or leaning on things nearby as my and Morada's Hearts beat together at the core of this Story I weave from Sound.

My Love expressed even as I describe my Curiousity and Wonder in a Melody to share with Morada, telling her clearly without any "Two Leg" words that my Heart Beats for her always....

She is the Sun itself to me, giving light and love that makes things interesting, I want to share it all with her, so I continue this story via sound beats, pulses, vibrations and chirps, ensuring she will never doubt it.

The World holds many Treasures to explore, poke and play with, but only with Morada by me sharing in it with me!

My Sound Waves and Pulses build up in complexity and feelings, making the "Two Legs" seem to sway in rythmn to my sounds, some slapping hands against legs, nodding their heads or humming along to my sounds.

All the while I look at Morada and emit my feelings for her, as I bask in the feel of her own gaze and sounds.....

I had a thought and it amused me so here is non canon omake.

The scene was tense enough to cut with a knife.

Thirty men all dressed in the latest military gear, and ready to win a war moving into position through the jungle. Each action slow and measured as they moved like stalking panthers.

The second the target was in sight helicopters were called in, arriving in minutes as green laser sights all pointed at the objective.

Their arrival was announced with spotlights burning away the night, lighting up the jungle in perfect clarity. The target however simply blinked curiously as it observed them all, unbothered by the sudden brightness.

It's black scales seamed to absorb the light, it's blue accents almost glowing against the ominous black. The target just didn't seem to care about them, more curious about their laser sight then anything.

A command to fire crackled out of the radio, thirty highly trained soldiers began to squeeze their triggers.

Then everything went to hell.

The target, once near light absorbing black shivered as suddenly it's scales turned to nearly every color of the rainbow. Beams of light from the spotlights, bounced off it's scales in flares of Multicolored blinding light.

In seconds almost every soldier was down, their guns shooting bursts of very unfriendly fire. The helicopters spun in a set of downward spirals, too blinded by the light to even try to regain control.

Soon the jungle was silent again, the only sound burning wreckage, and sobbing wounded as the target finally made to move.

Only to walk away with a confused huff, It's scales shivering back to thier normal colors as it walked away. Stupid two legs didn't know how to appreciate art.

Okay, so I'll get started on the interlude first, might take longer than usual but that's becoming a pretty common warning from me. Anyway post your questions in the meantime and I'll get to them as usual.

Interlude: DNA Crisis
Dr Henry Wu was quite nervous, not something unique to him at the moment seeing as his colleges on project Chimera looked similar to what he felt. Their faces pale from worry and just as sleep deprived as him.

Not that he could blame them, they'd all had issues with sleep since they'd called for the Cavalry. Almost every facility on the Island had gone on lock down near instantly, and they'd been forced to wait almost an entire day before the Ingen security & Investigations Team (ISIT) arrived on the island to let them out.

It had been more than a week since then, time passing in far to much of a blur to keep any track of it, most of it spent either pacing around in their personal quarters or complying with any of ISIT's requests. Honestly if the situation was any less dire, he might have had a flash back to his days as an intern. Just thinking about it sent shivers down Henry's spine.

Either way working and worrying round the clock had obviously done none of them any favors, solely based on their matching eye bags.

The wait for the investigations findings was infinitely more painful then sleep deprivation in Henry's opinion, but he'd always been a bit of an oddity on that spectrum.

In the end, the clicking as the door opened to show the ISIT liaison signaled both relief and further anxiety.

The man was average in just about every descriptor, average height, common brown hair, nondescript brown eyes, all of it coming together to shape a man that would fade from your mind within seconds if you crossed his path on the street.

None of them had even been able to get his name when he'd had them either locked in their quarters or doing his every command.

"Greetings to you staff of Project Chimera, sorry for my behavior but we simply did not have the time for pleasantries on my arrival. I am ISIT Commander Edward Mance, and I'm quite happy to say that we have manage to clear you of any guilt or wrong doing during your time here. Sadly, there is no time for celebration, we need you back at work. Mostly to double check our own findings."

The newly introduced man paused, digging through a previously unnoticed Briefcase before pulling free a set of manila folders. Handing them out with all haste before starting again.

"These are our findings related to your claims of espionage and tampering. I'm sure you are all qualified to understand the repercussions of their contents, and I want you all back on the job the second you've absorbed the offered information. Now if you would excuse me, I need to start the individual interviews and investigations for every single person on the island except you four. Your assignments will be at the back of the file."

Commander Mance didn't even bother giving a parting wave before disappearing out the door of the conference room.

Henry paid him no heed as he dived into the folder he was holding

It was a combination of His own research of both Azula and Morada as well as ISIT's own findings. As a result He knew most of the information it contained, but what he didn't know was all the more stunning.

Azula had shown the ability to mimic human speech, advanced reasoning, a high empathy quotient, and her regeneration was leagues beyond what he had thought at its initial discovery.

All of it paled at her DNA profile.

It was almost exactly as Henry remembered, there was even the strand of DNA he'd had to add in order to stabilize Azula's embryo. He could feel his own stomach roil as saw what was different.

There were extra Genetic sequences spread throughout Azula's Genome, each of them making small changes that resulted in the Hybrid they'd created today. Circumventing their own efforts at keeping her a manageable size, constraining her predatory nature, preventing any odd mutations, almost everything he had toiled over had been changed in small ways.

Something he'd worked into a fine art, A painting worthy of being a museums main display, twisted beyond anything he could conceive.

But the worst part, the thing that sent his well ordered mind into a scramble, and caused his stomach to try and climb out of his throat.

Human DNA. Someone had added Human DNA to Azula.

He forced himself to move onto Moradas file, skipping the small bits left in Azula's. He was almost happy to find how little of Morada had been modified. Sure there was bit that would cause her to grow to her natural size, but that was so small as to be insignificant compared to Human DNA.

Then he saw it, his mind nearly burning as he thought through the implications.

The fact Morada was still alive, that she hadn't resulted in dud egg was a near miracle. The fact that she hadn't died, that she was still alive with this disgusting edition to her genome was a curse worse than any he could conceive, His stomach doing a flip at the mere consideration.

It was nearly as bad as the Human DNA. Morada was likely in near constant, high intensity pain since she hatched. She probably couldn't even choose between her own clashing instincts.

Henry Wu lost the fight with himself and spilled his lunch on the conference room floor.

Whoever had done this was nothing less than a sick bastard, and if Wu got his hands on them, then he was going to make their life a living hell.

Issue revealed:

Mutilated Genes
Less than five percent of Morada's genetic code is a combination of countless creatures smashed together and spaghettified into her genome with all the subtlety of four year old shoving a triangle through the diamond shaped hole.

More info added to character sheet.

Hopefully Wu isn't too out of character, he's really hard to write as anything other than an ass.

Well.

I am suitably horrified by this revelation.

We had hints of Morada's condition before now. Her sloth, her depressive attitude, how she obsessively clings to the one bright spot in her life, but... my god...

Good to see Wu is at least on the same page as I am.

Jesus christ. Poor Azula.
...
I'm wondering if her surviving the lab would actually be the best thing for her at this point... Unless Wu uses retroviral DNA sequencing to fix the damaged code; and even that's a tall order.

So, random question but what was Wu's original design for Azula? Before some moron decided that adding human DNA into a dinosaur was a smart idea.

Imagine current Azula, but about the size of a wiener dog/dachshund, with none of her abilities besides some minor regeneration.
okay, someone seriously is a moron. This kind of sabotage isn't sane by any stretch of the imagination. Dinosaurs alone are a danger, but purposefully messing with a hybrid dinosaur by shoving more genes into it willy nilly is about the least sane thing I can imagine. No wonder Wu is on the warpath now.

Does this mean she would stay at the size of a small dog while Azura gets bigger and bigger?
no,the maximum size of it would be the same as that of a t-rex , and our minimum size would be that of a spinosaurus (1 or 2 meters taller than a t-rex) and chances are good we'll grow even higher than our minimum

So if we gave our sister a blood transfusion with our blood would she be similar enough to us that our super regeneration would heal her or is she different enough that it would hurt her?

If its possible to heal our sister, its painfully obvious that it has to do with our regeneration factor. That is the only possible vector by which she could be healed by our actions. The other option is to somehow get Wu to heal her via a retrovirus of some sort, although since they don't have CRISPER at this point in time, that would be highly risky.

The other issue at play is that she doesn't have Human DNA which implies that she is more of an animal intellect than Azula is. Which will give her instincts a greater push on her actions than we have or Azula has. Also based upon some implication it sounds like she has conflicting Predator/Prey and possibly even Carnivore/Herbivore instincts. So that is a wonderful mess of nonsense.
