--He fucked up, yes. But you know as fact that he didn't mean to. He truly will do anything in his capacity to atone for what he's done. You get the feeling you need all the help you could get.

Stunt-Looking down into the repentant mans eyes you took a deep breath, releasing it seemed to allow something more than air to boil from your lungs, fantastic tendrils describing a crown that was all at once, not there, and more real than paltry reality.

"My Father died because you cared about the camera angles. He lived because Panacea did her job."
Leaning closer, bent almost double to stare truly eye to eye now, you turned to draw his vision across the gang members and victims in the waiting area of the hospital. And when Taylor spoke again it carried the tone of kings, the pronouncement of obvious truths.

"You have tried to be a PR idol, who also tries to help. This is the result. Two racial supremist gangs can destroy the city at any time. Repay me by being the hero you told me you were when I was a child. Gain your fame and my forgiveness by crushing the things killing my home, It's Danny Heberts lifes goal, you nearly killed him, take up his banner while he can't hold it"

[X] I will take that under advisement
--Hang on to Brandish's business card, but don't commit to hiring her yet.

[X] Hugs for the Healbot
--Ask to properly thank Panacea. She saved Dad's life. You...Hell. You'd be an orphan if it wasn't for her.

- Tell the quiet seeming girl that whatever powers you have, if something falls within them, she can have it. no exceptions, you have a debt, don't be the kind of person who forgets them.

Don't quite understand this part. Danny's goal was the restoration of the ferry. Armsmaster can't really do much about that.

I always thought Danny wanted the city to get better, the ferry is his idea for a big part of that that he's gotten very locked in on; but I always considered the city itself to be his goal - the thing Taylor would hear him talking about with Annette as a kid.

Right or wrong the part of Danny that Taylor admires is his drive and loyalty/love for the city, it's people through the dockworkers union; and it's places through things like the ferry helping parts of the docks.

She nearly lost him, in her view, an hour ago or thereabouts, rose-tinted lenses are in full effect here!

-[x] Stunt: Taylor stared into Armsmaster's visor. "You know, you used to be one of my favorite Capes when I was a little girl?" Taylor was amazed at how calm and clinical she was when she stated this. "You want to leave, to run away from what you did? No! You don't have that luxury. You are going to stay here, and 'fix your mess!'" The last coming out as almost a cross between a hiss and a snarl. "You want to make amends? Help me find out what's going on, what happened to me! Be the hero I believed you to be as a little girl, that I prayed would come and rescue me when those three pushed me into the locker. Or don't." Taylor said as she turned to leave the room. "It's not like I haven't been betrayed and let down before." With that, Taylor walked away.

-[x] Stunt: Taylor walked into the cafeteria, where Panacea was sitting, nursing a cup of coffee. She was a bundle of nerves by the time she reached the table. Her conversation with Armsmaster and the encounter with Brandish (wait, isn't that her mother? Dang it!) still played in her head, and definitely didn't help. "Hello." She said with a smile, as Panacea looked up at her in weary curiosity. The teen healer looked like she was more than tired. Scarily enough, it reminded Taylor of the look she sometimes saw in the mirror after the bullying started. "I'm Taylor Hebert, Daniel Hebert's daughter. I wanted to thank you for saving his life." Taylor frowned. "I'm sorry, but, are you... okay?"

--[x] Stunt: You had a moment to consider your response. This was Armsmaster you were talking to, so you wanted to make it count, after all. "Yes, you made a mistake. You fucked up." He winces. "Unfortunately, people make mistakes. That's a fact of life." It shouldn't be. "More importantly, no one in this room is in a position to wallow in their sorrows and failures. There is work to be done. Brockton Bay needs every Hero it can get, and it certainly doesn't have time for its leader to run away because of almost killing one man, no matter how dear that man is to me. How many innocent people die in these streets each day?" .... "...I still don't like it, but that's besides the point. We must put the greater things above our own personal needs - is that not what being a Hero is supposed to mean?"

Holy shit you're putting Armsmaster on the path to Defiant during his very first appearance in quest.
Again, holy shit.

If that's a holy shit moment, you'd best buckle yourself in. The canon train got derailed leaving the station. Every decision made so far has had repercussions that ripple out and move us away from the canonical plotline.

[X] The Less(bian) Said, the better.

Taylor is not in a good mental or emotional state right now. She hasn't had a moment's rest since she came our of the Chrysalis Grotesque. What she needs to do is give herself time to process everything that has occurred so far. Then she can make decisions with actual thought put into them, rather than split-second choices that could have far-reaching and undesirable consequences.

@Thief of Words, I must say that the way you wrote Armsmaster was incredibly jarring in a bad way. It has nothing to do with what he's saying though, it's how he's saying it. Armsmaster as a character does not talk like a robot. He didn't even use complete sentences in this update. And why would he choose to speak in a half-formed repetitive stream-of-consciousness, when he's literally listening to a socialization program he wrote that tells him how best to talk to people? It does not calm anyone, it does not convey information well, and it's not how the man talks normally. It just comes across as forced and artificial. I strongly recommend editing his dialogue portions to be actual complete sentences that don't repeat every point two or three times.

Besides that, I like how you've been handling the story. Taylor seems to crumble into a ball a lot, but she's essentially undergoing PTSD and frequent panic attacks, so I gconsider that relatively believable in the circumstances.

I'm not sure why there's still any uncertainty about the Favored Yozi though. The vote was cast, the GM realized they didn't think they could write the 18-vote winner well, and the 17-vote runner-up was a Yozi that the GM felt they could write well. Why is this still in question? Are there plans to put it up to a vote at a later point?

I want Taylor to get 5 dots in Presence and Charisma, and then confront Emma, demanding she explain 'why.'

Preferably with a Charm to help.

Maybe someone can Omake the confrontation.

You're not wrong, I was certainly considering voting "Sleep on it." The opportunity to retort to Armsmaster was too tempting, though.

Well, she does have a charm to help. Emma's lying to herself and we can literally see that for what it is.

Working on that now that I've had a few hours' rest. Along with fixing the FAR TOO MANY typos in this update.

EDIT: Cleaned up his dialogue a bit via referencing his canon speech patterns.
