Is the Yang Manual weak for a earth tier cultivation manual? As it seems to have a large draw back but isn't really as strong as the other methods people have been posting.
I think you're referring to the Perfect Yang
Body, since I didn't write in any explicit weakness to the Nine Yang Manual.
an option the QM already said was good as opposed to the Nine Yang which he said was so weak he'd have to buff it that would be great.
Technically, that's not what he said. What he said was:
I'll give it a boost if it wins but is too weak for the rank.
Emphasis mine. In other words, rather than confirming that it needed to be buffed, he just explained that a winning option that was too weak would be buffed, just like a winning option that was too overpowered would be nerfed. Like yours. Looking at it that way, it's actually
more useful if the winning option is buffed or not nerfed, and the more powerful stuff ends up in the store for later purchase rather than getting weakened. Not useful enough to
matter, since we can just suggest other stuff to put in the store anyway, but there you go.
Honestly, Yang Book is the most boring option to me. In a world where people can develop all kinds of crazy super powers, Yang Book give people the power of...a really strong body. Thats really bland to me. Now I'm not saying that a super human body is a boring power itself. After all, All Might in My Hero Academia makes it look really awesome. In xiannia however, it's just kind of underwhelming and limited. Where as turning ourself into a human shaped universe not only sounds cool, but also sounds like it could open up some really interesting power opportunities.
Most of the time, all the fancy descriptions and name don't really
amount to much, because it all just devolves into a lot of Dragon Ball Z nonsense anyway. The fluff matters
far less in making a fight and a fighting style interesting than how many rays of sunlight are shining out of your ass while you fire sun lasers at someone or whatever. Whether it ends up boring or interesting depends mostly on the QM.
Besides, if you start doing the esoteric stuff out the gate, there's nothing to go up to except for just adding
more rays of anal sunshine, which is why so many xianxia authors resort to ever-increasing escalation in the first place; because they blew their load with stuff that was actually interesting early on and have to create the illusion that things are any different by throwing a bunch of extra zeros at the end of the power levels.
Just another cultivation technique for fun.
Heavenly Pot Forging: a technique invented by the Golden Stomach sect that only accepts people with the Nullifying Cauldron Stomach trait, this cultivation path focuses on honing the body through pills and enhancing the already potent abilities of the Nullifying Cauldron Stomach and is most remarked by its Heavenly Pill Regurgitation technique, wherin its cultivators learn to regurgitate the pills their stomachs create from raw materials, each of higher level than one made in a lesser pot.
This.
Cleaning that up a bit, we get:
