"Please Ignore the Secret News," Dwight immediately offered.
"...do we really want to continue with that silly naming?"
"Yes," Dwight and Virgil echoed in unison.
Yeah, sounds like them all right.
A flash of light later and Nanoha was next to the nearest of the four ships, causing Hayate to blink. "Did she just spontaneously teleport?"
"...that's what it looked like," Alph agreed. "Not sure when she learned to do that though."
"She mentioned reading about that yesterday," Fate said, grinning. A moment later she vanished in her own flash of light, to appear next to Nanoha, immediately followed by Vivio.
"I think that Nanoha has flipped the 'read the manuals' tables on us," Vita said with a frown.
"The most likely spell for that is referred to by the kingdom as the 'blink' spell," Rein said. "Which...appears to be the storage and retrieval spell, with the caster as the item to be moved?"
Rein vanished in her own blink of light a moment later, followed by Alph. Hayate dug that spell out of Yuri, ensured she was targeting it correctly, and a moment later was standing near one of the four ships. The Wolkenritter made their way over without a short-range teleport, not having gotten those particular kingdom spells yet. Something that might need to be corrected.
...entering close range of Nanoha while she was in fangirl squee mode was another problem entirely, but seeing that each ship had its own set of Star Wars character devices explained more of what was going on there.
"Hive thought that you might appreciate these models after they were originally designed for another," Usagi said as she joined them. "At least based on some of the enthusiasm for lightsabers, anyway."
Not only Nanoha, but all of the Trio can just teleport without any sign of doing so.
Yeah, I can hear the screaming of various criminal organizations in Bureau Space from here. Maybe a portion of the brass as well.
And Vivio can do that as well...yeah, that sounds like fun. Might be stopped from pulling it too much in TSAB combat duels until the skill is spread into Bureau Space proper.
...though if the dragons sent a team then the kingdom might have some problems.
Well, I think Caro's tribe might be impressed at the fact that the Dragons thought it a better idea to send a diplomatic team. I mean, even the Dragons think it is a better idea to send a diplomatic envoy to the Kingdom than just being aloof. That is
way much more scary to those who know them.
If the Alzus Dragons are involved, I bet Caro was hired due to being the "spokeswoman" of probably the top Dragon in the Alzus area.
Wanting something more...eventually balanced, Taylor had decided to go with a female device that would unlock additional modes when Vivio was older. In fact, the device would 'grow up' with her in several respects, configured to have an apparent age that matched her actual age in a general sense when in humanoid form. As a stealth device it would be perfectly happy pretending to be jewelry, a bracelet or necklace in particular, while also having human and bunny-girl forms. When not in stealth mode there would be a general preference for trying to match Vivio's appearance for which form it took and what clothing it was wearing.
Up until Vivio reached age thirteen or so the device would focus almost entirely on training and defense, but more offense options would start to become available then. Nanoha or Fate would be able to tweak some of the options and limits before then, but control would eventually start passing to Vivio instead. There was, however, a significant exception to all of this. If Vivio was injured or unconscious with a threat to her present then the device's full capabilities would be unlocked until Vivio had been extracted, the threat was gone, or both. Not quite to the degree that Hive's systems, or even Dragon's, would go to, but still a surprise for anyone who triggered it.
So, in short, a Sacred Heart that has much more capability than in Canon in terms of keeping Vivio safe...and offer to be a spar buddy.
After all, this
is Vivio who in Canon chose martial arts as a way to gain maturity in front of Nanoha.
Nanoha wanted to give her family lightsabers, and had kits for all of them, but hadn't been told that all of those kits would only allow full functionality while the wielder at least had torso and brain shields in place. Providing devices that could generate full-body protective shields was a simple way to let the lightsabers be used to their full potential.
...The fun part would probably be that if the lightsabers have rudimentary AIs, I can imagine the AI malfunctioning into registering some of Nanoha's family as having shields simply due to moving faster than their otherwise "unaugmented" bodies should be capable of.
Of course, they wouldn't say no to having devices, but still.
Even better, according to Hive the entire Takamachi family had linker cores of varying strengths. Nanoha's was definitely the strongest in the overall family. Not all of them were combat-grade, but they had them and would thus be able to maintain the power for the devices. And the lightsabers, plus interact with the internal controls. No extra charging items needed, and they'd be able to call the others anywhere the kingdom's communication network reached.
Ohhhhhhhh........ The "Game Theory" route? Not that I'm complaining, just adds to the
fun of what the whole family can bring with the correct augmentations from the PItSK......
After all, it is Canon that Kyouya was already better than Signum in terms of swordplay when magic isn't involved. I can see Kyouya going for a rematch once he gets some magic of his own under his belt......
There was one person that used a "boost device" and summoned various creatures. They had a contract with a dragon, and it was able to talk. I assume CmptrWz just expanded that to being a species of sentient dragons inhabiting one of the Administrated Worlds.
That would be Caro from StrikerS, and the implications is less that she had a contract with a Dragon and more that the Dragon
chose her and gave her a "bodyguard" dragon. Really scary, when you think about it.
