Hugh's Perfectly Abnormal Mafia Game Where Everything Weird Happens Oh God (And We Promise It's Not Mountainous This Time)

Eh, fair enough, I can see how that would be the read. But nah, intention was always just "in what way does this actually constitute useful new evidence."

Okay yeah that much I agree was evident. I more meant "why is it inherently a ridiculous proposition that nobody would be eliminated today," seeing as there's already been seemingly serious discussion of that very possibility by a number of people.
because that is literally saying "yknow what? lets not get information today"
you do realize that noyeeting is gonna do one of two things
1) game ends wow so deduction
or 2, much more likely) literally put us. here. again. tomorrow. with very little new information. and we just wasted 72 hours.

Yeah, but unfortunately (1) is a real possibility here, which means we're probably gonna have to bite the bullet and try it at some point. And as for (2) we have enough claimed investigative roles that we can learn a nontrivial amount about the setup with the spare cycle afforded to us (e.g. "is Nani actually a cult leader?").

you do realize that the info isnt all that useful to see if nani is a cult leader if nani lives the day right
bc
they just convert someone
and we're on a wild goose chase for the rest of the game

That comes with the biting problem of giving a cult leader another cycle to recruit.
I for one am more in favor of an informative move forward when one is presented in this case.
[X] Vote Nanimani

You know, we see that a townie can reveal as a scum role while remaining town.
Are we just gonna do That But Again?

With that being said, uh. What do you think choosing to cult/recruit/whatever someone would actually do, since that kind of role doesn't seem to actually change alignment? I mean, curiosity about that is honestly the whole reason I haven't just swapped to mason-creator or something.

Actually, is there another word for mason creator? I don't wanna go back to neighborizer since I'm pretty sure that'd just put a third person in our conversation, and that's something I'd prefer to be a talked-through decision, unanimous-like.

…I don't trust the reveals that much, frankly. But I also can understand the nature of not wanting to risk a cult getting out of control…
I dunno.

I guess it depends on the exact cult mechanics, which I can respect being cautious about. My expectation was that the new cult member would not also have the ability to induct new members into the cult on account of that would make actually stamping out said cult literally impossible without role-based interference, but this is a bastard game so I guess maybe that could just be a thing. Still, per my general philosophy of "play assuming the game is playable," I'm not personally inclined to worry too much about that sort of situation.

no you dont understand what i mean
what i mean is "every cop check is essentially invalidated by the fact that theres now someone w a different alignment"

I mean, TBQH if Nani is actually a cult leader then the cop checks are already pretty worthless, since that implies it's possible to change alignment entirely of one's own volition.
Well, now everyone is forced to target me. Any bodyguard and watcher would be very welcome.
okay but why though

The certainty of the information. No matter what, everyone will know who's visiting who. Who's using their power. Like I said, watchers are welcome.
