New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

I think I'll call this one early. There's a very clear consensus on what we want to do, and some scattered opposition.

Kindness and Allies, in the Organ Meat Desert

Which territory did you claim? What is your Clan's bloodline inheritance?
You were not always in the Organ Meat Desert.

Your clan, the

[ ] Fang Zhen Clan

[ ] Imperial Optimatoi

[ ] Eternal Revolt Tribe

[ ] Write-in

has suffered much in its time. You are one of the few qualified to know of your true history. To even speak the original name of your great Sect - called the Heaven-Defying Demon Sect by your enemies brings about the punishment of heaven. You know about the Turtle-Subjugating army that stepped across the sea of stars and into this realm, meeting the new race called 'humanity' as you did. Your ancestors wrote about them. Treacherous and cunning, you yourselves came from a better realm, or so the slivers of will your ancestors have left claim. You sought to bring order and harmony to a realm of horror and death, one that saw worth in power - no, that worth and power were one and the same.

The Heaven-Defying Demon Sect, it is said, are brutal slaughterers of mortals, rapists, monsters and cowards deserving of heaven's punishment for a thousand thousand generations.

Yet you know the truth. You rose up, and conquered Sea after Sea. Order was imposed. The loose piles of sand called cultivation clans and sects were swept before you, greedily jockeying for position instead of fighting against you. In war, you were unparalleled, and in peace benevolent. In time, you ruled three of the Nine Seas, though none living bar you know that the Heaven-Defying Demon Sect and your clan are one and the same. You had seen the nature of the world, and found it wanting, so the greatest leader of your people sought to reforge the very Dao of Heaven to better serve justice.

The backlash was immense. Betrayal came from all sides, and the humans you ruled rose up against you, and your cultivation faltered. Good seeds died, battles that should have been won were lost, mists distracted and delayed armies from joining, and the very beasts of the land sought your death. In mere millennia, the work of hundreds of thousands of years was undone, and your people shattered. The curse laid on your bloodline has not abated, though the poor luck has mostly gone away. Heaven would prefer you dead, but no longer seeks your death so eagerly.

It was during this time you were driven into the wilderness, and there your well-trained legions of cultivators fought the...

Refer to the map. You will occupy the territory of the faction you fought.

[ ] Jingshen Clan

+ Wealth from Spirit Stone Mines
- Battle Blood Cannibal Sect exists and will not hesitate to constantly kill and consume your mortal population unless suppressed.

[ ] Shanqu Clan
+ Wealth from direct trade routes.
+/- Access to Turtlebone Mountain - more angry monsters, but potential opportunities.
- Battle Blood Cannibal Sect exists and will not hesitate to constantly kill and consume your mortal population unless suppressed.

[ ] Battle Blood Cannibal Sect
- No access to the mountains, less ability to kill monsters for Beast Cores
- Low access to trade, buying rare items will be tougher
+ Attrition to your already very high Attrition - most enemies will need to pass through a separate desert faction just to reach you!
+ Battle Blood Cannibal Sect will not exist, meaning far less raids.

It was here you began to rebuild your bloodline, as well. There were few members with proper bloodlines from the past, but by constantly promoting those who did, you were able to once again build up a cadre of elemental cultivators. They grow quickly and fight well. (For more generic info on what organs, body parts, etc, are likely to be cultivation methods depending on your bloodline, please look here)

[ ] Wood - A powerful bloodline, allowing access to more growth of trees, as well as healing the wounded. Wood bloodline cultivators are difficult to bring up in the desert, but they are excellent at growth and healing. They can also attack the souls of enemies - in formation they can do truly heaven-defying acts. The Soul-Crippling Glare is one of the primary arts of your cultivators. Wood cultivators are weak defensively, however.

[ ] Fire - Fire cultivators are powerful, though not defensively. They forge excellent weapons, and cultivate the Burning Heart. Their fists are lit aflame, and they can sweat out fire onto their enemies. Good at attacking, reasonably mobile, somewhat weak on defense. Perhaps the most all-round choice.

[ ] Earth - Earth cultivators are excellent at mining and defense. Spitting out dust and turning it into walls, using the Mine-Carving Thumb, and Earthen Muscles for strength. Strong and direct, they are strong in fixed combat, but are easily outmaneuvered.

[ ] Metal - Metal cultivators cultivate the Transforming Metal Body, able to switch into stronger forms, primarily by virtue of transforming the skin. They are versatile, able to be both fast and defensive, and strong to boot. As metal is set in its way, though, an individual metal bloodline cultivator cannot cultivate many bodies - each cultivator must choose attributes for themselves. Metal cultivators are more versatile as a whole, but individually are overspecialized.

[ ] Water - Water cultivators move with speed and grace, and are virtually impossible to hit. Their Icy Bones regenerate in an instant, allowing them to contort themselves to ridiculous degree. Defensively they are weak - they are yielding and avoid strikes, but if they are unable to dodge, they shatter.

[ ] Air (Unlocked by nature of Clan) - A bloodline nonsensical. It does not come from this world, for is air part of the process of change? Yet you claim it to be an elemental bloodline. You move with incredible quickness, dodging with ease. Your attacks are weaker, and your defenses nonexistent. Speed, speed, all things are speed.

[ ] Sun (Unlocked by nature of Clan) - Your ancestors came from another world. Perhaps even the sun. Sun cultivators are simple enough compared to other bloodlines. In the day they are ascendant, at night they are weak. They heal under the light of the sun, but are suppressed by the Moon.

[ ] Moon (Unlocked by nature of Clan) - Your ancestors came from another world. Perhaps even the moon. Moon cultivators are simple enough compared to other bloodlines. In the night they are ascendant, during the day they are weak. Moreover, there is a second cycle - when a full moon hangs high in the sky you are powerful far beyond your nature, but on a day when a new moon is due, you are utterly vulnerable.

[ ] Bronze (Unlocked by nature of Clan) - Your ancestors had bronze forged into their bodies - apparently this was a reward for their loyalty as soldiers to the world they came from. Your beards and hair are a bronzed metallic yellow, and you are tougher than other cultivators. Not a mere metal bloodline, the bronze itself sings in your blood. It offers resiliency and regeneration, as well as pure strength of both arm and body. However, bronze is a stiff metal, and you are much slower than normal cultivators. As you age, your bronze hair and skin is covered with a patina of green.

everyone still doesn't like us so trade is not a good idea. Earth should help with mining and protection which we need

@DangerKitty makes a good point. I'll change back to Imperial if it looks like something other than Sun will win.

Hmm.

Battle Blood Cannibal Sect is going to be a thorn in our side regardless, but I'm debating what more Attrition will cost us compared to everything else--getting limited access to trade hurts, since one of our major sources of income are selling Arrays. Turtlebone Mountain is also probably a major resource we could tap eventually, and more Wealth is always a good thing given how our Cultivation is entirely dependent on it.

What kind of effects would we be looking at with the five + Attrition build anyway @occipitallobe ?

Beyond that, while Sun is very nice, Bronze is a neat idea that fits our overall build well. Enormous strength, considerable regeneration, and a reliable weakness that methods exist to work around while not being critical when in formation--as the speed of any individual tends to be less important than their power and ability to endure counterstrokes. I'm inclined to go that way, though Sun is very nice.

Honestly, any non-desert clans seeking to attack you would be... courting death. Not literally as they might be able to kill you, but getting to your corner of the desert, breaking the arrays, sieging you down, and then getting back out, well. The expenditure would be massive. Battle Blood Cannibal Sect is a sect of madmen from the Blood Path who murder countless mortals and flee back into their desert hideouts, and nobody has even tried to root them out.

Shanqu Clan are basically bandits (if you don't pay their extortionate tolls), and Jingshen Clan don't really care about mortals because their Spirit Stone mines provide them with their cultivation needs, so the nearby factions don't do much.

Even so, it would be an expedition centuries in the planning and paying for if a Plains or Mountain sect were to try and invade you.
