New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

[X] Plan Legions of Steel
-[X] Imperial Optimatoi
-[X] Battle Blood Cannibal Sect
-[X]Metal

Changing my vote, I think metal is better than sun, since our whole numbers shtick gets rid of metal only weakness. Sun is weak during the night which is kinda bad since we don't know when we will be attacked. Battle Blood Cannibal Sect seems like the obvious choice for the attrition. We chose to have high attrition over the defense, so we might as well mean into it.

I'm inclined to take the hit to trade, and replace the Blood Path cultivators. Since they'll be draining our resources if we go anywhere else, and they're liable to be difficulty to snuff out, why not just take the Attrition bonus.

Hrm.

Okay, here's what I've got in mind then.

[X] Plan: The Weight of Bronze
-[X] Golden Devil Clan
-[X] Shanqu Clan
-[X] Bronze

The question is "Do we want to choke out all potential to grow in exchange for eliminating a problem today and punishing other problems later?" The answer to that must be 'No', so our choice then becomes "Which of these positions gives us the greatest possible advantage?"

The Shanqu Clan then is our best bet. Wealth from trade also implies we have good access to markets here and there--and likely our neighbours will be more invested in a faction giving fair tolls instead of the highway robbery of the Shanqu Clan, and are less likely to go to the knife or blockade us. Turtlebone Mountain screams plot hook, and this gives us access to it--and between the monsters coming off of it and the Battle Blood Cannibals being a thing (But running face first into our own bunkers and beatsticks) gives us a decent source of training for our subordinates, at least until we can build up enough strength to beat them.

As for the element picked... I actually really like this one? I didn't think of it initially but it's just cool, Bronze is one of the first alloys--the first signs of humans changing the world instead of merely accepting what's lying around and employing it, and in a lot of ways it's what makes civilization possible. It's also a nice callback to the whole theme of being a bunch of invaders that we have what amounts to being an inherited cyborg nature. The speed reduction is a pain, but getting incredible strength, durability, and regenerative powers more than makes up for it--and when you fight in formation, the speed of any individual is less important than their ability to trade blows.

[X] Plan Bronze and Trade

Alectai's plan is great, but Optimatoi as a name just has a certain aesthetic sense to it - a clear marker of the nature of the clan.

[X] Plan Bronze and Trade
[X] Plan: The Weight of Bronze

Honestly...I'm voting for both because while on the one hand it's Alectai's fluff, and thus I'm inclined to follow him all the way through Chargen...But at the same time I want that Roman name because well, maybe I'm overemphasizing the Roman thing but to me it feels like the capstone to everything about them:
The whole, over the individal.
Europe versus China.
The way they disagree with the logic of the world itself.

And sure, we can have a name like all other clan names in the form of 'Golden Devil' clan, but I like the uniqueness of Imperial Optimatoi.

Honestly, the clan name I put down would be the ones that are written on the maps because the ones writing the maps are prejudiced, what the Clan calls themselves internally is something entirely different.

I would personally consider "Bronze and Trade" to be the same vote as "Weight of Bronze" myself.

Part of me thinks that the name vote should be a "what are you called" and a "who are you really" rather than just one name.

Well it would be pretty easy for the QM to make the clan call themselves Imperial Optimatoi internally while its enemies call it Golden Devils if either plan wins.

Nah, we already have an enemy-given title;
To even speak the original name of your great Sect - called the Heaven-Defying Demon Sect by your enemies brings about the punishment of heaven.
It is a pretty fine one. I expected worse, considering defying heavens (but only a little) on its own actually has mostly positive connotations in the world of cultivators.

[X] Plan: The Weight of Bronze

I really love the image of the hair and beards of those cultivators turning green. Can you imagine how green the sect leader will look? Getting a midlife crisis because your hair is turning green sounds hilerious.

Besides we are exstrateresstrial invaders so it should feel like our clan would be different. Qua bloodline

So is Heaven-Defying Demon Sect what we are called by others now-days ? or are we voting for that now ?

[X] Plan: The Weight of Bronze
-[X] Golden Devil Clan
-[X] Shanqu Clan
-[X] Bronze

I do like that as they age they turn green that's cool though I wonder how that aspect would change there language and culture

[X] Plan Revolt Of the Sun

We're n the middle of a desert. Why not take the power that weakens and destroys armies and make it the very thing that empowers us.

We have an opportunity to make the power of the sun ours. While out in the dessert the sun weakens and kills the weak and those unprepared. With the power of the sun we'd be strengthened and healed by the same force that crippled others. While the sun may set at night, it will return in a couple hours, so the power will be availableto us no matter we here we travel or fight.

While being at the foot to the mountains will have great opportunities, it doesn't build on the idea of utilising attrition to the greatest advantage. By being out in the desert we become to hard for the occasional raid to get us and those who truly want to fight us will have to not only cross another's territory, they'll have to pay out the nose to get to us. The entire affair will cost them and the terrain weaken them.

If we don't go deep in the dessert we leave raider to our back and enemies in the mountains above us. The same raiders that are too much of a problem for others to have eradicated, which speaks to me of a strong place to defend and counter attack

I agree on all the points but sun. Night lasts more than just few hours. If we are attacked during basically one half of the day, we are very weakened. It's like flipping a coin on our strength. I prefer something that lacks such an obvious weakness. Giving that everyone is gunning for us, how long until they realize our weakness? Metal is given a huge boost by our numbers advantage and bronze regeneration makes us even better at attrition.
