New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

-----------------------

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

If we assassinate Bloodhammer and warn the Righteous Coalition about Old Cannibal's plans, could we use those trust-gaining moves to have the Righteous Coalition end up slaying Old Cannibal for us?

Either by us warning them of Old Cannibal's plans and thus they wind up killing him when he attacks, or because Manuel contributes to the trap too thus making it more deadly.

Well that, or, the Righteous just wind up bleeding Old Cannibal's forces a lot when Old Cannibal invades the Blacksmiths. Old Cannibal doesn't die (because Late Nascents do not die easy) but he does lose some numbers.

I'm torn about warning the Blacksmiths. Letting Old Cannibal seize the pass for any length of time hurts us but warning the Blacksmiths means that they fall into the orbit of Strength Purity.

THe Nascent Lightbeast is a must have against the Devil Bees.

We should remain on our wealth accumulation track. That means that I er the next 2 turns we have a maximum possible 14 purchases.

We need 8 for the Technique Palace. This turn we can raise a maximum of 7 purchases between income, actions and key.

Trials Prep is cheap with advance action so Caches and Mortal Networks should be a must that we spend a Kleisthenes and Clan wealth action o.

Manuel has to be on watch for Bloodhammer so that's one action not going to purchases.

That leaves us with 3 income and 1 key point, more than enough to nab the Technique Palace and something else.

With the favoured appearing the Righteous Path are now definitely going to be our enemies.

Maybe not right away but as soon as the favoured come into power they will focus on our extermination.

Given that letting the Blacksmiths get slaughtered and forcing the Righteous Path to bleed to keep the pass open would be a wise idea. Short term cost for long term gain.

Old Cannibal's too big. Too close to being able to tip over whole sects. Needs to be bled. Do we need to set up the Light Trap at the USP, or can it be transported to the Sorrowful Blacksmiths' border?

Maybe but they've been centralizing recently and the favoured of heaven will ensure that they focus on us.
Very much this.
The existence of favored changes the paradigm entirely. While before their emergence we could plan on a long-term none-interference policy with the righteous sects, if not outright warming of relations, with the favored becoming Nascents in less than three centuries, maybe two for the truly lucky ones, we have to see the righteous sects as inevitable active enemies in the same timeframe. So taking steps to weaken them must be done now - and frankly, letting Old Cannibal attack and then have forces ready to intervene, draw him off and then occupy the mountain pass sounds better than to warn the righteous sects and drive the Blacksmiths into their Coalition.

I think we should let the old canibal take the blacksmiths.
The righteous can push either south or north and that would probably make them choose south as a block to trade from us would be fatal.

We have fifteen million Spirit stavraton saved from our regular incomes ... The Clan currently has 3 Purchases worth of wealth.
We have thirty million Spirit stavraton saved from our regular incomes ... The Clan currently has 3 Purchases worth of wealth.
One of these is not cash money.

Also, could we save the Light Qi for later?

@ Blacksmiths: We say nothing and send Manuel to help now. That way, we establish precedent and when they get invaded, we slide in there to "help" with every legion we can spare.

Achille Adephos & Lipita Delphi Collab Link – One... Two... Three Heads Singing In A Choir

Hmmph... this junior is a good seed [Cultivation Management Quest] Original - Fantasy

TURN 14, OMAKE 2 [Lipita] Lipita Delphi 36: Achille Adephos & Lipita Delphi – One... Two... Three Heads Singing In A Choir Corpus shifted atop his seat and felt the hardwood of the high stool creak in response to his movement. The Junior Mechanikos stifled the urge to yawn, keeping his focus...

I would like to request a cultivation boost for Achille Adephos.

I wonder does the training soldiers option means more legions get readied for combat during the turn? If so it might be a decent option...

[ ] Training Soldiers - Raising Disciples to higher Realms is all well and good, but training them to be perfect members of Formations is better. Ensure your Clan is trained and ready for war. Your readiness to go to war will increase significantly, though this fades over time.

I mean, right now, only about 10 % of the clan's cultivators are part of the combat ready forces that can join a offensive at any time, I feels pretty bad...

We're going to have to leave the pass to.the Blacksmiths to cover or die trying. Ideally, we'd gank Weeping Anvil in time to prevent him becoming food for one of Old Canninals Nascent Soul subordinates, plus this basically accomplishes what I'd hoped would happen anyway

Yes, Old Cannibal can sabotage the RP with this move, but he has no way to hold it. And by upsetting that particular balance, we can force further concessions from the Righteous Path in exchange for our cooperation

The tone seems to be that with the Federation gaining steam, the Righteous Nascents are making moves to accommodate those Favoured Juniors for when they inevitably rise to power.

Blocking that off means forcing them to commit to fights they are not yet ready for.

With the rising of the favoured Goodwill from the righteous path now has a very firm expiry date. With that said, they can still be pushed to diplomatic efforts with us under certain situations.

The Wei Princess is the strongest of the Righteous Path, and should be least constrained to the attitudes of the favoured, as even with all their boosts she should still easilybe able to take them after they hit early nascent. She also doesn't dislike us half as much as most of the Righteous path. That said, she is also entangled in trying to bind the rest of the Righteous Path to her banner, and working with us gives her enemies political ammunition.

I would say that we need to gain and spend any goodwill fairly rapidly, it helps (and might extend that time) if it can be spun by Strength Purity as using one demonic power to hit another. The righteous path tend to be ok with or even like that, as seen with the Saber Palace.

That said, we have to remember that the righteous path is very likely to become our enemy in full once the favoured hit Nascent soul status, unless they're occupied with other things. They follow the will of heaven, which has "exterminate the Golden Devils" as it's second highest priority, right below "Protect the 9 Seas" so unless we pull out a rabbit from our hat (or soup chef 2 arises to threaten the worlds again), they will come for us sooner of later.

In regards to the invasion, I see telling the RP about it as the less risky, but potentially less rewarding option.

The biggest score we could gain here is Old Cannibal being ambushed and potentially even killed. The big downside is that this makes the Blacksmith's full absorption into the Righteous Coalition blob very, very likely. Once they're formally part of it, our chances of invading the blacksmiths go down by a lot. At present, we could hope for such to be ignorable (maybe with bribes) due to the pressure elsewhere. Once they formally sign up with the SPS that is gone.

Old Cannibal's death would be very big, but the terrible fact is that the threat Old Cannibal is presenting to the Righteous path is currently very useful to us.

So advantages:
  • Much more likely to maintain trade.
  • Old Cannibal may be injured or killed (death unlikely)
  • Nebulous goodwill from RP (better spend it quick)
Cons:
  • Blacksmiths much more likely to be fully bound to united RP, making future invasion very difficult.
  • Goodwill may not materialise into anything solid. Will rapidly dissapate.

Not telling them on the other hand is riskier, but could have higher upsides:

Advantages:
  • RP must respond lest they lose spirit stone trade, which would be a huge blow.
  • Will substantially weaken or even destroy Righteous Blacksmith Faction, making it easier to assault. Remember the mountains are meant to have huge defensive bonuses.
  • Need for a counter-attack will increase pressure on the RP as a whole, making them less likely to come after us and more likely to make deals.
Disadvantages:
  • Potential loss of trade if Old Cannibal manages to make and keep gains (potentially somewhat offset by increasing amount of spirit stones available for direct use in cultivation). I would say this is unlikely though.
  • Any invasion of Blacksmith territory is dependant on decent trial rolls so we are in position to exploit their weakness.
  • Potential loss of goodwill if SPS find out we knew and didn't tell them. How relevant this is when the Favoured are pushing against us already is unknown.

So overall, I would definitely put telling them as the "safer" choice, though I'm initially more inclined to the riskier play.

I wonder if it would be possible to use Nascent level diplomacy to convince one of Heaven's favoured that heaven is mind screwing them and the only way to restore their free will is to defect and take the Blood of Bronze.

Unlikely that they'd retain the accelerated Cultivation, but they might depending on how it's applied to them.

Spreading the Bronze blood amongst the Righteous Path would be hillarious if we could swing it.

Like if every major power had a bronze blood faction to balance out their heaven's chosen. In a way the Jingshen can be seen as a proof of concept if you consider the part of the Clan that choose exile vs the part that stayed in our lands.

-[] Increasing Wealth
--Expand your home industry and bolster the Clan's economy. The Righteous Path are never reliable trade partners so seek to transform your new carrying capacity towards inward growth
-[] Manuel - Meditate on Heaven's Shadow
-[] Kleisthenes - Economic Activity
-[] The Mortal Networks (1 Purchase)

My plan as set out does three things: set up our opponents to maul each, try and strike a balance between saving up for Technique Palace without losing the opportunity advantage of early Trial prep, and lastly (if Shadow meditation works like Wealth actions) pick up the best legacy with a Clanwide bonus immediately.

What are you doing with Destasia's big idea? It needs to be used up quickly after all, though I'm not sure if it means assign this turn or next.

I thought that that option would come down to a vote. If it's supposed to be part of the write in, I'm leaning towards border defense although my preferred choice would be a backline attack on the Devil Bees while they're off marauding

Bloodhammer is on request by Weeping Anvil so if the Blacksmiths don't ask, we don't show up

Bloodhammer is not quite as extensive as hunting, say, Child Corpse Gulper. It'll be a fight, but one where Manuel or Kleisthenes play a part that doesn't go far beyond 'showing up when asked for a single fight'. They're not going to be allowed in to Blacksmith territory to hunt him down endlessly, due to paranoia on the part of Weeping Anvil (is it really paranoia?). Realistically, Manuel will show up briefly, engage in the fight, and that's it. He's just risen to Mid Nascent and is in all honesty not the largest threat against two Nascent Souls - especially one wielding the Spear. Weeping Anvil will be hunting him down over time and will call for us to come make a combat roll, (which could end badly, but likely not) but not a full turn's worth of Action.
