    Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

    If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

    If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

    This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

    Omake Writer Instructions:

    There are four fields you need to fill out.

    Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

    Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

    Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

    Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

    All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

    Degrees of scale do matter though.
    There's a difference between allying with old cannibal to kill child corpse gulper and betryaing our allies and becoming a part of the noble devil alliance, after which we'll be warring against the entire righteous path and our former allies.

    I've been searching through posts (started with informational posts) and maybe I'm blind but I haven't actually been able to find this. Nothing I've seen actually says this.

    @occipitallobe Can you only go into a Secret Realm once per great realm? Or can you go in every time it's opened for you realm (which is once per turn for Qi Condensation, once every 5 turns for Foundation Establishment, etc), it's just if every visit is a "bring 2-3 Lifesaving Treasures just to be sure" it's insane to do so and so nobody does that.

    Your analogy works if we assume that we're participating in the crimes ourselves, but I'm pointing out that either way we're turning a blind eye to past atrocities or future atrocities for the sake of our own objectives though I'd rather call it a matter of preferences

    I think we're tarnishing a moral standard by siding with either one, at which point the answer just becomes "who offers the better price?" From my own perspective.

    It's just a question of who's fleas you want when you lie down with them

    Sorry, I had been thinking about this.

    For now, it's fine, but a few caveats.

    1) It'll only count as a Fate bonus, and can't contribute towards a character with no Omake reward getting one.
    2) The amount of bonus falls off fairly quickly as wordcount rises for a given turn. I don't want a character getting 10,000 words or something crazy like that worth of Fate in a turn from a third party - this seems unfair to all the other Good Seeds.

    I may end up adjusting these rules in future, but for now that's how things stand.

    Okay... that's as may be, but there are still degrees of tarnish, and when you're talking about price, you also have to talk about what you're selling. It's not just a binary true/false thing. One of these paths is more horrific than the other, and that does matter. When you're talking about the price of your soul, you need to take into account how much of your soul you're selling.

    ...and in both cases, it's turning a blind eye to both past and future atrocities... it's just which atrocities we're turning a blind eye to. I mean, it's more complicated than that, because it always is, but that's a seriously important factor.

    So yeah... the Blood Path fleas are much, much worse.

    I would say that there's no proof for this, but that's not to say it's impossible. Trying to make peace with the Heavens would require a leap of faith.

    You have nothing else Altar Lord wants. If you murder the Jingshen Nascent Souls and cut off the Spirit Stones in any sense, you're at war with the Righteous Path. If you don't, you're not. Killing two Nascent Souls and exposing his entire frontline to the Righteous Path Nascent retribution isn't a small offer.

    While we're on the topic of Secret Realms, I have a few curious questions about edge cases. For example, what happens if you ascend to a new Great Realm while in a Secret Realm? Say you go from Qi Condensation to Foundation Establishment. What does that mean for your "Can only visit once per Great Realm" pass? For that matter, what does it mean for your fortunes and treasure-finding in the Secret Realm? Does the character start searching for Treasures and Boons and Bonuses in level-appropriate areas, or is he stuck in the Qi Condensation level areas in the Secret Realm and cannot easily get into the Foundation Establishment-level areas and so... he probably can get some neat Qi Condensation Treasures and Loot more easily, but it's less useful to him as a Foundation Establishment cultivator.

    I believe you said that Secret Realms are mostly only good for people seeking to gain cultivation years -- that somebody in a Great Circle of their Realm and on the precipice, won't get as many bonuses (because Impact and Treasures are somewhat rarer finds that +Cultivation Years I think you said? This was something I found just in one post though, so.) (also this might have been just about the Qiguai Clan Secret Realm rather than all Secret Realms!) -- but let's say that somebody goes in as Qi Condensation, breaks through to Foundation Establishment immediately, and goes on to explore the Qiguai Clan Doorway. What happens?

    Did he just use up both his Qi Condensation realm pass and his Foundation Establishment realm pass, for less effort?

    Or, does the situation depend on "Is the Foundation Establishment area open at the same time as the Qi Condensation area is? In which case, you could go into the Foundation Establishment area -- albeit, with less time to explore, so..." as a factor?


    Also... Has any /mortal/ been crazy enough to go into a Secret Realm and return alive?

    Just a quick counterpoint, but the Righteous Powers only ignore us because of the threat Blood Path poses. Once Heaven has free reign again, the Golden Devils will definitely become targeted again even if we try to make peace with the Righteous powers.
    Furthermore, the Righteous Powers already don't allow the Golden Devils to enter their secret realms. The Yuan and Qiguai realms requires sneaking into them.

    So there's no difference in helping either cause since they're both enemies at their core, and both engage in horrifying genocide except the Righteous put up a facade.

    To start to talk about 'xxxxx' that is now known as 'builder' (he will never use capital letters on his new name) we need to talk about the Brotherhood. Which was renamed The Brotherhood of sand, dirt and dust. After a cultivator in the clan took pity and inform that other organizations/groups named 'The Brotherhood' would murder them for having the same named as them. Which was a thought that broke the hearts of the younger founders. Since all brothers (which can be sisters too) are brothers. Why would matter if they come from other clans/groups/etc? they listened to the cultivator and life show that this was a good decision.

    So let start with how the brotherhood had started. Life is hard for the clan. It always had, maybe it always will. Even for those without their blood. Specially for those without their bloods. Even for mortals. Specially for mortals. So, the futures brothers (and sister) hoped for more, so they imagine/dreamed for how to become more. And listen to street performers and, before that, a lifetime of cultural exaltation of the clan's cultivators that took some 'artistic' interpretation of the greater pains that had suffered, since the shows/songs/stories that got to their ears had less drama, less tragedy because it was tempered for a younger audience.

    Those more positive interpretation where also a fruit of the hopes and dreams of better times that the Clan reached after so much blood.

    So, the young brothers played as cultivators. And with the purity/single mind goal of the young tried as hard as they could reach that path. They took inspirations and tried use many 'classics' doing so to booster their 'fate'. They swore they would be brothers for life (a promise that they have keep) they did that while eating all the food that 5 orphans got that belonged to them alone in a great 'feast'. They also said that stomachache from mixing old fruits, their two candies, some tasty plants, a whole piece of bread and some pieces of stones (the normal kind and not the 'evil' kind) was worth that. They swore they would follow the clan example and share most material things in life and share their knowledge (this was also a kept promise). Later, their hearts were, once more, almost broken seeing the prices, in clan points, of a single spirit stone. And they did know that one would need far more than a single stone to ascend. Even in that age they were aware that would bring disharmony. Greater brotherhoods, True Brotherhoods that last for centuries broke in so many stories from those stones. Xxxxx was the first to challenge that. "If I need to choose between my brothers and a stupid stone. I will always choose my brothers; you guys had never betrayed me. Those stupid stones were trying to separate us even when we swore to be brothers for life!" with that Xxxxx become 'first brother', they still remember that stomachache induced stone ("and that one was not even the evil kind!"). So, Xxxxx decided to, in order to be fair, name his brothers using a bag with sticks of different sizes inside to them to pick ("no evils stones here, no sir"), so like he had become 'first brother' among his second family, the others also became 'second brother', 'third brother/first sister, who insisted that they would call her 'third brother', 'fourth brother' and 'fifth brother'. Those five had no need for "big brother/little brother". Time would teach them different in the last topic. So, promising to find a better path they searched. And found something stupid.



    After so many 'great adventures', which the best one was listening to a "really powerful cultivator" (a 2nd heavenstage Qi condensation) they learn about spirit QI and how to gather it by breathing and meditation. They also learn that many 'rightful sects' use this path. Those five had little use of sarcasm among themselves. From another even greater cultivator (a 3rd heavenstage Qi condensation) their learned other facts of great importance. Like how long a proper training is require 12 hours per day of training. And that a good seed can reach the first heavenstage (whatever that is, was not explained) before his twenties. With many legendary figures in the clan doing so. This cultivator also broke their hearts. After the powerful one heard about their time training and sense almost no spark of QI inside them. So, knowing that this was after many days of training, He shook his head and commented they had no talent. What was not mentioned by the young, was that they would have no talent if they took as many stones as he believed they did. Spirit stones use was at that time and even now a matter one should not bring to any in the brotherhood. "the one good stone, is one below our feet, in our walls, broken for treasures or for fun and stuff like that" said Xxxxx more than once in his life.

    The brothers combine all that they knew, asking weaker cultivators that would care for any spare spark of knowledge and the vast number of mortals they could be bother with a single question or multiple ones if the adult in question had enough patience for them. Their learned some things about management from mortals. Their learned (few) written words. They got a job which was a 'well-paid one', in their eyes, and they learned math. The words and math were learned from their overworked caretakers in the orphanage and from their elder brothers (not by blood not by oath). Some of their older brothers insisted to be called elder sisters and that also something they obeyed. When the little ones forgot a gentle slap at their heads make them aware of their mistake. And most important of all. The impressions and information were reinforced, that Old Gold should not. Ever. By Angered. For He see can see all that is only mortal, knows all that is only mortal and is the only one that is immortal, and that being is Old Gold. The little ones were not that great at information gathering, four of the five would in time be a little better. From this Terrific/Epic/Great/Divine impression of Old Gold made The Brotherhood make Old Gold appreciation day. Were facts, rumors and deeds of the one above all in the clan was whispered among the brotherhood. So that he was never angered (by them). And, the rank that the brothers used for danger. 'mortal' 'one step from mortality', 'two steps from mortality', 'invincible or three steps from mortality (they have no idea how a mortal can defeat those great beings)', 'unthinkable' (above three steps) and 'Old Gold' that is the only one above the invincible cultivators and the ones that they could not even think/imagine how to defeat.

    End note: If this omake earn the omake bonus. I would like the cultivation bonus, And if that is possible, to transfer it to another good seed (the ones in the 1th) or add it to the brotherhood itself.
    edit: Since the omake bonus cannot being transfered. I then wish for the cultivation bonus to my good seed then^^.

    I'd love to see that! Or any omake about mortal doing great things.

    I mean, for all that cultivators are strong and long lived, mortals have much more free time considering they don't have to cultivate most of the time. In a way, they can do much more in the limited time they have.

    As far as I know giving someone else an omake bonus is not possible. The omake bonuses can be fluffed however you want though. I'll add it to the spreadsheet.
     
    Personally, I could see advantages and disadvantages either way, I can get why people would vote for one or the other, but my vote has already basically been decided.

    We don't need the Demonic Alliance's assistance to survive and even Thrive. The Shadow of Heaven has been growing and omake have always been pouring in, we'll be fine there. As such, we have no good enough justification for abandoning the Flood Dragon Gang, our allies, nor for pissing on the budding alliance between us and the Strength Purity Sect that both Kaboom and Alectai have been working on in their omake and that we've been building with our actions.

    Survival would be a good enough reason to shit all over our alliances and connections, but without that in play I refuse to do so.
     
    I think that when heaven truly flex, or 'just' fate. then the rightful are better. Just because a reformed cultivator that was previous from a rightful sect is far easier to absorve into the clan. like the three clans that we got. A blood path can only used blood path cultivation. their only good use is for as resource we can burn. that we don't use stones to cultivate. but that would have a really damaging PR effect for mortals. Hell even a free pass to the 'rightfull' lands so that we can cultivate there can be better than integrate blood path users.

    Anyway one day a bullshit cultivator will try to conquer this sea, the pieces of the turtle slaying weapon will be found, some other disaster like the bees expanding by having multiple queen bees (of that spirit severing rank) those birds in the north will grown or other thing like a greed and powerful fish wishing for dead turtle meat. So those rightful cultivator will need to play ball anyway.

    Please note a number of Good Seeds are likely to leave the Clan (not the quest, but rather the Clan - they'll likely defect to Strength Purity or another power in the event we side with the Blood Path) in the event we vote yes. I am not listing them, but it's something for voters to be aware of.
