New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Absolutely.

To be an effective cultivator you need to follow your Dao. Actions taken against your Dao will weaken your Dao-heart and your cultivation, actions taken in line with your Dao will strengthen it.

Hmm, well as Long Chen put it 'All schemes are meaningless before absolute power'. So long as our cultivation reaches a high enough level, being bad at plotting won't really matter.

Just some musings, but i like to note that most exposure to Cultivation that is present in Xianxia is about the exemplars. My guess on the direction of the quest is that they won't be us. We will be the ones that the MC eventually overcomes in like 50 chaps, essentially our power growth might really take the times of 100 years, 1000 years that are usually skipped by the MC in the novels.

I feel that it's probably best to go under the expectation that there is always a bigger mountain to us. Because even if we match them Cultivation wise, it's very likely that resource wise we'll lost to them.

[In regarding recuiting Mercs]
Would we be able to tie them in with ties of Marriage ? Because that was the one thing that occured to me when i saw Clan won, which was the age old method of creating blood ties by marriage.

[ The Kataphraktoi Formation ]
So yeah, this Formation + it being able to have people without the clan bloodline makes me hyped. I would love to be able to have Cavalry/Beast Rider Auxiliaries to act as the hammer to our Clan's Anvil.

And it's perfect that we have a access route to get the beasts, we just need a person with the skillset to do so!

[X] Plan: A strong mind in a strong body
-[X] As Guest Elders or Guest Cultivators
-[X] Resoluteness
-[X] Shattering Glass Spear Array
-[X] Hoplite Formation

Would we be able to develop or modify Formations ? Because i really like the Kataphraktoi Formation, and i would love for us to be able to branch it off into a pure Calvary specced formations that trades away the Grand Strike ability for a All Stats boost as long as they remain mounted and in formation.

Which i think will benefit a Auxillary group of Calvary that is built more along the lines of those in Chinese Media, with the Beasts breaking the enemies while the riders chop down with polearms.

I also hope that with modified formations we can gradually make connections with the greater world since they will be more subtle or changed so that no one can tell their origins at a power tradeoff. I can see us being able to from a Escort Agency to protect Merchant Caravans or maybe even offer rich nobles or merchants a Varangian -esque Guard contract.

Since our reliance on 1 to 1 is less, we can leverage our less strong members to do such things.

@occipitallobe if you don't mind ? Red is the questions from a previous post

Can you tell us what the Dao's will do like all of the ones we have made and what you made or would that be spoilers or will you do that later so we can get a better feel for how our characters are going to think

Current Clan & Personal Status
The Golden Devil Clan/Imperial Optimatoi:

Clan Core Techniques and Bloodlines:

Descendants of the Earl of Bronze (Bronze Bloodline) - Your ancestors had bronze forged into their bodies - apparently this was a reward for their loyalty as soldiers to the world they came from. Your beards and hair are a bronzed metallic yellow, and you are tougher than other cultivators. Not a mere metal bloodline, the bronze itself sings in your blood. It offers resiliency and regeneration, as well as pure strength of both arm and body. However, bronze is a stiff metal, and you are much slower than normal cultivators. As you age, your bronze hair and skin is covered with a patina of green.

Defenses:
Ancestral Will (Late Nascent Soul) - 10 attacks at the full power of a Late Nascent Soul cultivator
Shattering Glass Spear Array - Uses hidden targeting arrays across your territory to hit Foundation Establishment cultivators and kill them with ease. It can even with some difficulty slay Core Formation cultviators.

Formations, Techniques & Spells (Core Formation & Below):
Hoplite Formation - En masse, your cultivators can summon a shadowy figure of a man holding a spear and shield of purest bronze. While the man is a shadow, the spear and shield are real, and can fight against cultivators who the individuals might not be able to. Strong on both attack and defense, the weakness of the Hoplite Formation is that it requires a strong Dao-Heart - if cultivators within the formation start to fear, it can shatter.

Formations, Techniques & Spells (Foundation Establishment & Below):
Kataphraktoi Formation - Your formation summons a great bronze-clad horseman, with lance and helm. He charges at staggering speed, the lance able to strike with far more power than one might expect. However, once the charge is spent, so will the formation mostly be - it is one grand strike, and after that the horseman can only fire mere arrows of moderate power.

Two-Headed Eagle Formation - The bronze two-headed eagle serves as a transport for many cultivators in an emergency. When it is summoned, a great eagle appears, powered by the Qi of the cultivators. It can shield cultivators with its wings, fly quickly, and peck at enemies. It is, however, much less forgiving than other formations - while the Hoplite and Kataphraktoi Formations can admit those even without the clan's bloodline to an extent, the Two-Headed Eagle is a proud beast and will serve no master who does not have blood of bronze.

Century Oasis Formation (Created by Ferenike). This formation draws on the power of the desert sands, air, the sun and the moon, tapping into the dragonlines which flow through it and it concentrates this power amongst the members of the formation. The users of this formation share vitality, speed of healing, and endurance which is further amplified by the concentrated amount of desert Qi. Thusly, cohorts using this formation find themselves expending fewer Spirit Stones to heal and march through the desert or improving the effect of Spirit Stones they do expend, thus enhancing our advantages in our home.

Formations, Techniques & Spells (Qi Condensation Only):

Formation Of Philoctetes (1st and 2nd Heavenstages only). A derivative of the Kataphraktoi Formation that focuses entirely on the part of the Formation that deals with shooting arrows after the charge. Qi is gathered and used to power and launch arrows filled with Poison Qi that has the same effect as poison from White-backed Scorpions. It should allow Qi Condensation cultivators some flexibility in attacking their peers or even take out their killers. All they need to do is ensure that the arrows launched from the formation hit so that the poison can begin it's work

Population & Vassals

Treasures and Wealth

Major Assets:
Earth Bounty City Spirit Mine - Yields 30% of the Clan's total Spirit Stones.
Scorpion Road Trade Route - Yields 30% of the Clan's total Spirit Stones (in value) in tariffs.

Spiritual Treasures:
Spirit Contribution Board - When you attempt to get your juniors to accomplish certain ends or grow in certain ways, your efficiency is greatly increased.

Fate & Diplomacy

Fate:
Rite of Karmic Purification (In 80 years/4 turns) - Every 100 years Righteous forces from another Sea enter your lands, slaughtering your disciples to gain Heaven's bounty. You have just undergone such a trial.

Heaven's Impoverishment (Weakening) - If you should seize a new land it will find itself impoverished as fate itself conspires against your wealth. Each time the Clan seizes new lands or forces another power to pay tribute the curse must expend itself and is thereby weakened.

Deadly Tribulation - The Heavens have not forgotten the trespass of your ancestors, and make sure to remind you that you will never be welcome in this realm any time one of your experts seeks to rise to power. It is said that Heavenly Tribulation is two parts killing intent to eight parts vital force. For your kin, it is the other way around.

Bad Karmic Luck - The Heavens mislike you. Minor things often fall against you, plots fail when they should not, opportunities fail to fully materialize. It is not death, but it is dangerous. (CLEARED)

Allies:
Flood Dragon Gang (1 Early Nascent Soul, 40 Core Formation, 2,700 Foundation Establishment, 50,000 Qi Condensation)

Enemies:
Battle Blood Cannibal Sect
Abyssal Devil Bee Sect
Seven Divine Saber Palace

Trade Partners:
None yet.

Known Secret Realms
Qiguai Clan Doorway
Qi Condensation: Opens every turn
Foundation Establishment: Opens on Turn 10, 15, 20, 25, etc.
Core Formation: Opens on Turn 25, 40, 55, 70, 85, etc.

Yuan Clan Man-As-World Mountain Array:
Opens on Turn 11, 17, 23, 29, etc.

--------------------

You are Manuel Konstantinos, Archegetes of the Imperial Optimatoi. To outsiders, you are simply Grand Elder Konstantinos.

Cultivation Speed -
Slow

Age (Max) - 1,620 (3,500)

Health - Healthy

Intrigue - High
Administration - High
Secret Knowledge - High
Teaching - Very high
Warfare -
High
Combat - Medium

Personal Talents - You are a brilliant lecturer, and can help juniors both grow and solidify their foundations by lecturing on their cultivation.

Weaknesses - Low stamina. Grasping opportunities to cultivate above your talent was a worthy endeavour, but in truth your body finds it hard to maintain the level of cultivation you have attained. You cannot fight in battle for as long as your peers. Penalty to Combat.

Family -
None.

Dao - Darkness. Many Cultivators seek a transcendent height of power--to cast out all that makes them weak and imperfect for the sake of living a longer life. Fools one and all who are blinded by the light of immortality! You and your kin have been oppressed by the Heavens, struck down by great lightnings and terrible trials for an ancient curse... And yet, you live still--the Heavens have not forgotten you certainly, but you no longer live under its active pogrom. Is it complacency? But even in the lightnings cast down--those who should endure their power still rise in might, your kinsfolk still occasionally stumble upon fortuitous encounters. There is some Shadow to the Heavens--a seed of nascent change brutally suppressed by the grand celestial machine, out of a desire to hold to a stagnant image of history for all eternity. You desire to set it free from its bonds, that it may aid your kinsmen in reforging this realm into a thing of beauty and philosophy instead of a barbaric wasteland. It is a futile task, one that will endure long beyond your life--but there is power to this belief, and if you cannot do it--you can blaze a trail for one who comes after you. As did your master, and his master before him.

The only way to understand what your Dao will do is to explore it...

Would we be able to tie them in with ties of Marriage ? Because that was the one thing that occured to me when i saw Clan won, which was the age old method of creating blood ties by marriage.

On marriage, yes. You can still admit people to the Clan, but it's far, far less common than admitting people to Sects.

In regards to formations, absolutely. But developing a formation suitable for a Qi Condensation cultivator is something you personally might do in a year or two, but one suitable for a Nascent Soul to lead Core Formation cultivators in might be the masterpiece of a lifetime.

@occipitallobe beside the listed formations do out cultivators learn any other supernatural abilities, also considering the ration of 50 lower realms to 1 upper realm does that mean 125,000 Qi condensation cultivators can potentially face 1 nascent soul cultivator?

Hmm I'm really not liking heaven defying genius after looking at our massive page of enemies and debuffs since even if HDG is better long term short term we're going to be fucked especially since I doubt we're going to get stronk enough fast enough to really be able to do anything during the quest 1st Karma Purfication on turn 5.

They learn more, but these are the core arts of your Clan - techniques you have deep attainment in. This list can expand.

Unfortunately, formations aren't infinitely scalable. Your formation arts which are tremendous allow 50 Core Formation cultivators or so to temporarily equal a single Nascent Soul (well, an early Nascent soul). 100 Core Formation Cultivators aren't twice as powerful, though. They can serve as 2 Nascent Souls, perhaps. Foundation Building Cultivators can face Core Formations, but certainly never Nascent Souls.

-[X] Dao of Compassion: It is a Path that originates from a different world, and it is the Path that brought your people here long ago. In a world where the individual is supreme, this is a Dao that focuses on others and their needs. People may ridicule it as weak, but you know different. All the different Daos of this world lead to you standing over others on mountains of corpses, enforcing your view of the world. The Dao of Compassion is a path you walk with others, it lifts up those that walk with you rather than push them down. In a world that is whole, such as the one your people once came from, it can unite without oppressing. And as everybody is rising to new heights together marvels and unrivalled beauty will be created. But the Dao of compassion is sensitive to those in need, and so your ancestors found this world crying out in pain, and they were driven to help. You follow that same drive still, the pain and suffering in the world calls to you, pushing you ever further to grow so you can help them grow with you.

Can this be changed to
It is no longer death, but it is still dangerous.

Would further hearken to the slowly weakening of the Bad Karma, and also show just how much it sucked before it did weaken.
