Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

"Wait, you killed Poseidon?"
Speaking of Poseidon, do Orion knows that Drake killed his dad?
On the other hand, Medea is also directly responsible for Jason being as successful as he was in the first place
Brushing up on Medea's mythos, even without whole betrayal thing, she is very much Taylor's mood kindred. With being cunning and willing to as much of extreme as needed. I really hope she goes to Chaldea in the end.

Emiya smirked. "That's all well and good, Master, but would you be terribly angry if I killed him instead?"
Absolutely Gar

Damn it for a guy who hates becoming a Hero he's so damn cool
A bronze hand materialized suddenly in the path of the arrow, catching it with the tip less than an inch away from Jason's chest. Up the hand came an arm, then a torso, then a head and legs, and then, standing there, Arash's arrow clutched in her fist, was another Servant.

She turned one blue eye our way, and a wave of bloodlust slammed into me with all the force of a freight train. My knees threatened to buckle under its weight.

"Alright, you bastards," she said in a rough voice. "I was enjoying that nap, just now, so which of you made me get up?"
HOW!?

No seriously how did Jason somehow convince CAENIS of all people to answer his summon and help him out.

It literally took Wodime of all people to impress her and while Jason can be cool given the right circumstances he's nowhere near Wodime's level

So what I'm getting from this is that someone probably Aife needs to teach Siegfried how to use his A rank Disengage properly.
In order to do that she'll have to teach him to value his life, because dragonslaying clearly didn't instill that. Literally, since he didn't get Instinct from doing it.

In fact, I'd give it good odds that Aife wouldn't be able to do it, or even make him worse by increasing his (sucidal) confidence against stronger opponents (like Aife and Scathach).

You know, because Connla.

I liked listening to her summary of the Epic of Gilgamesh. But, like... I felt kinda called out when she pointed out Fate's Gilgamesh design. I guess no one ever explained to her that Fate's Gilgamesh had his original appearance patterned after the character of the same name from "Tower of Druaga."

Or that, you know, he might not look anything like the OG myth describes, but his lore more than makes up for it.

I was gong to make mention of this because...well, for one, it's fantastic, and really gets across just how vast and eerie the depths of history are, of how much we've lost and only have hints remaining of
but also because that last bit actually made me laugh

don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely in her camp. if there were two designs that would actually fit them historically speaking...yeah, those two would work if you switched them
but for all that I also kind of get into how and why Fate developed...it kinda makes sense. Nasu wasn't making them historically accurate, and while it's convoluted as shit he did come up with why it makes sense in-universe why things are the way they are

I would very much prefer if Gilgamesh looked like Iskander and vice versa, because that would be more historically and mythologically accurate
...but Nasu wasn't going for historical accuracy. he had designs he wanted to go with, and that IS history, as far as the Nasuverse is concerned

I mean I'm pretty sure you're joking but just in case you aren't, Last Resort can't hurt him because it's not A-rank, and even if it could it could only take a single life.

yeah, probably not
that being said, i can see two instances where it might actually be possible

First, Noble Phantasms can have certain circumstances where they perform better. Brutus in the previous Singularity was a great example of this. Shakespeare might not have been able to fit all the stories into it he wanted...but if he was clever he might have managed to squeeze that in on circumstance and technicality because what squishy, mortal, human master is going to get in a knife-fight with a physical god? if the circumstance is that rare, it might have been able to fit into the limits of a C rank NP because the circumstances where it would get that boost are so infinitesimally rare as to be impossible
...unless you're Taylor

the other possibility is that Medea is right there. if there were anyone who could futz with it and give it an upgrade- permanent or temporary- it'd be her.
Either way even if it worked it would only take one life...but let's be real, that's not nothing

and let's be real here, it's Taylor. Even if everything I've said is wrong and Last Resort would do absolutely fuck-all against Herk...I can see her stabbing it into his neck anyway out of pure spite

I can see Last Resort working on Herk, but ONLY after having used literally everything else EMIYA had the mana to use.

literally this
as Red on Overly Sarcastic Productions put it:
"Oh yeah!, I'll just ditch my incredibly cunning and powerful sorceress-wife for this random princess! I'm sure she'll be cool with it! What could possibly go wrong?!"

like...the reason you were so successful was because of the blessing of your patron goddess (the goddess of marriage and family) and your wife (who you already know is cunning and ruthless and has zero trouble with even familial murder)
and then you knowingly and with forethought spat on the both of them

...great plan, idiot
The way his legend ends is a nice touch.
Medea went on to greater heights, having flown off on Helios' chariot and lived with Heracles old buddy for a bit, and being deified at least locally.

Meanwhile he dies with no status, no friends, alone when the rotten wreck of the ship of his dreams crushes him to death.

Hera not fucking around here

If she was being literally grabbed by him and about to die and stabbing him is the last thing she would be able to do before being crushed like an overripe fruit... sure. But no matter how spiteful she's feeling she's not going to jump on him to stab him with a knife that won't do anything (or even if it did do something).

The one Jason has with him has all 12 lives. Don't forget, he's got a Grail right there to give him all the power he needs.

And Caenis is gonna be a pain in the ass to deal with, since Artemis hijacked Orion's Saint Graph. Should have figured Jason would have an extra Servant, since Hippolyta didn't show up in canon FGO. Looks like they'll need to go grab the Ark after all.

it's his np, it's litteraly to summon the crew of the argo, though they have to like, willingly answer his call, presumably jason promised something last minute so she'd bother responding, mostly the people who answer are atalanta, medea and herc, the people who are most happy or neutral with him, the rest would take him getting actual character development to bother responding usually, he's kinda a wierd servant that way, he has the potential to summon every servant from the argo, but gotta go through a whole story arc learning to be an actual heroic person to manage it,
which he does do in lb5 to be fair, even if it's a bit too late there. dude's fully able to become a genuine hero, just gotta get humbled.
I mean, like, summarized in a list of random Skitter facts. The highlights.

Reading Worm is exhausting and felt grindy so I stopped rather early. I found a lot of the characters kinda unlikable, even Taylor.

And I straight up just hate the cast of Pact & Pale. I think I'm spoiled by Worm fanfiction.
i found this one, but it's a bit old and the wording can be kinda misleading, for example her emotion offloading to bugs, is only visual cues, she's not feeling less emotion just the bugs' bodies are reacting to them, not her body, the way it's written accidentally implies that it has actual effects on her mind, but the source linked makes it very clear it doesn't.

Can't really say anything on most of the conversation.
But I will point out the EMIYA is one of the few servants that could kill Herk all 12 times, it would be very hard but he has the weapons and most of the skills, he primarily needs the mana.

If the worded the command correctly I don't see a reason why he couldn't use Caliburn even if it only kills herks 4-5 times.

Problem is, EMIYA is being a cryptic lil' bitch who is trying to be a sauve and mysterious anti-hero, making every instance of trying to understand his capabilities like pulling teeth.

So of course he doesn't ask for help or support or assistance, because he is the same selfish, mentally ill idiot that abandoned his friends and family to follow a dream that saw him becoming and dying a (seemingly) erratic vigilante with ill-understood goals.

You might even say that Emiya's worst heroic tendencies are amplified, merely by the fact that Chaldea's mission is not only in his wheelhouse, but also not a "circumstance which could create the Hero Emiya."

And also the persistent thought of knowing a LOT of people he cares about would cease to exist if he failed.

He can TRULY be the Seigi No Mikata of his dreams.
Not the World's executioner.

Really missed the chance for the whole legend to have a role reversal

With Yandere Medea and scared shitles runaway Jason.

But yeah. Generally speaking most people reading the more complete legend would find Jason to be considerably unpleasant.

The kiddie version usually only includes the first half.

Emiya smirked. "That's all well and good, Master, but would you be terribly angry if I killed him instead?"
Yes yes yes yes yes! It's happening!
A ring of fire swept out from his feet, carrying swiftly across the boat, and half of us tried to leap away from it before it could touch us — except it washed over me without burning, without even the slightest bit of heat, racing outwards at speed until it had consumed first the Hind, and then the Argo, and between one blink and the next…vanished.

And it had taken Emiya and Herakles with it.
NO!!! OFFSCREEN?! HOW COULD YOU?!

It would be a lot of Emiya running away from Herk while spamming everything he can tell he gets a chance to use something that can take one of herks lived.

....now imagining a Scooby do style chase scene with Emiya and herk
It'd have to be EMIYA, Cu, and Herk. EMIYA is Shaggy, Herk is the monster, Cu is the talking dog.

I firmly believe that it's possible for EMIYA and Cu to get along well. Bonding over the fact that each of them have individual taken several of Herakles lives feels like a good starting point.

And then everything is ruined because Emiya brags about the fact that he can/did take more lives.

Cu isn't the problem- it's Emiya. He's too taunting and teasing, even at his friendliest. It makes him come off like some of the people Cu liked the least, aka Medb. Still, that's something Cu could get past.

Cu has plenty of experience going from friend to enemy and vice versa, as he's said in hollow ataraxia. He doesn't really care about the past. However, Emiya's still got a grudge, and that gets in the way. Again, see Hollow Ataraxia. The fishing scenes are gold.

That and they'd be high because Scooby Doo parody. It'd chill 'em out a bit... ok maybe EMIYA would be one of those people who smokes a fat one and then compulsively cleans the whole house.
