Heralds of Ruin (Wh40k Quest)

[X] Plan Chaos Playthingz

Whelp im
Convinced, next turn though we're just going to be doing raids and building up the escort swarm to prepare for the imperial counter attack...now I have just one question...

Can escort ships detonate their warp drives in the ram into a enemy ship? Because if the battle group comming in is too strong then we might have to sacrifice our escorts to preserve our heavier elements...of course of brothers will not be on those ships charging like lunatics.

Yes, I mean the detonation of a warp drive can initialized wherever it is neccessary, but it takes time to Iniate the self destruction of the warp drive.

Okay good...even if it's to prime it we can probably escort swarm the enemy and have a few ships prime their warp engines to draw the enemy fleet into the warp.

It's a sacrifice I'm willing to have happen to the enemy battlefleet. Which case the sector is weakened even further then before as we develop our power and capabilities to match that of done of the tougher sectors I. The galaxy, then launch a simultaneous assault on our neighboring sector with our eventual strike cruisers to capture the orbitals and then begin blockades untill we have completely taken the sector from the imperium. Once were a multi-sector empire I expect problems to begin the develop as we get "attention". Of course if we can get the Tau to trade with us for tech blue-prints and us trading copies of STC's with them...yeah...I can see a massive tech upgrade in the further to give us the needed edge against the imperium.

That is like asking if a deadly poison won't kill you, to the chaos gods both minor and greater their followers are just pawns and pieces in a board they can discard any time they want, the difference is just if you are a useful piece that can't be discarded yet.

So In a way yes.
If I was here from the start I would of said fuck the great game of the gods

No gods, no masters, right? If its any consolation, my reasoning for using chaos as tools is that we need to survive, we can't entirely rely on stealth skills or our luck in finding archeotech and salvaging xenotech from our allies. The background vote of sacrificing an entire sector to chaos was not ideal since i want to keep chaos as a last resort weapon hence i voted differently, but since it won anyway, better to make the most of it than fighting against the will of the thread voters.

@Alucard Vampiry did we salvage any xenotech from our xeno allies before they were exterminated? Also do we have a background lore why we became bffs with them? I.e. they sacrificed their entire fleet to save our battle barge from hive leviathan? Or something like that?

Edit: also silly idea for an astartes! Twins but one is a noise marine while the other is a stealthy SOB!

1. Yes, their versions of mechandrites. Along with other things.

2. It involved Orks. Basically before the Shadow Guard returned to full strength a Ork Waaagh threatened to ravage the entire sector and exterminate the chapter, and they may have actually won if your xeno allies had not appeared, they were really, really, really good at void warfare but were limited by their primitive vessels but this was negated by the Shadow Guard when they becamed their allies.

Together they defeated the Ork Waaagh, oaths were sworned between both sides and cooperation, and even friendships, were all time high. And then the inquisition happened.

Nice! Thanks! So its an honor thing, the xenos rescued us while our supposed allies did nothing. Last question, since these xenos are good at void warfare but have primitive tech, can I assume they look like space-penguins since penguins in the water are like torpedoes in a 3-dimensional environment? And since they use mechandendrites it must mean they have weak flipper-like arms!

As much as it amuses me, no they looked like the greys from xcom enemy within but without the psychic abilities, they had a weak constitution but made up for this by being really intelligent at various topics, physics, sociology, engineering you name it they were really good at it.

The reason why they are nomads is not known, not even by them as they lost all records dating back from where they were in their homeworld, there were investigations made by them but they never really found out why.

They only found words about a 'great beast' which destroyed their homeworld. Make of that what you will.

Alright, also some xenotech we can trade with dark mechanicus or something we can use ourselves. Since we also welcome anyone, human or xenos, witch or cultist, maybe we can open freeports in the future once the Imperium accepts that they cant beat us. Don't know about allowing ork freebooters since of our backstory, but eldar corsairs and tarellians dog soldiers (awesome canon backstory btw) should be welcomed. Also no state-sponsored religious persecution, if our subjects want to fight regarding whose god is the best, they should do it in the arenas or in regulated wars like what they do in some pirate ports and daemon worlds, also bear with me here, even corpse-worshippers should be allowed to worship their dead god as long as they accept the heirarchy of us being on top.

Yeah there is a reason Malice is liked and Shit Nex is fucking here panic and fucking hell this is going to be a shit show when the other gods start to get up and fully active

Yeah...that's why my big plan is to drill a hole into another universe before everything goes to shit!!!
Alsoshame we didn't get malal...even if we hated each other killingchaos itself then committing suicide by emperor would have been damn glorious!!!

Bah, why be a part of nexus and be sentenced to a ironic hell (which nexus would totally do for shits and giggles) that gets worse with every timeline untill our "death" and restart the process all over again, and us being completely aware of it happening?

No I suggest we grab the Tau, and any minor Xeno's "allies" drill into another universe and start again.

If we hit doom-verse...then that would be VERY entertaining to play as we struggle against something even worse then chaos itself.

Nexus, might actually send you and your warband to other universes to lay the seeds of its coming, but by them it already reached endgame.

The thing about nexus is that when the countdown reaches zero, its a instant 'I WIN!!!' button for chaos because there is literally nothing that can stop it, it will devour this multiverse then move on to the next one, bringing the chaos gods and the majority of their servants with it.

This has happened many times in the past and will continue to do so for eternity and not only it is fully aware of that, it enjoys it.
