Heralds of Ruin (Wh40k Quest)

The Cherished Son
Many knew of the legend of Ahzek Ahriman, one of the most powerful psykers in the galaxy and ex captain of the XV Legion The Thousand Sons. Many knew of his exploits, how he traveled across both the webway and the warp and acquired fell weapons of sorcerous power.

Many knew of his failures, how he tried to save his legion and in doing so turned many of his own brothers into dust, how he was banished by his Primarch - his father.

And now he toils in the webway, a euclidean dimesion which the Eldar use both as a form of transport and housing, in the search of the mysterious Black Library.

Ahzek Ahriman knew the truth. He knew that what he was doing would amount to nothing, even if he breached the formidable defenses of the Black Library he would have to fight every inch to get what he wanted. The Black Library housed the majority of the knowledge belonging to his home galaxy, he was not naive to think it housed every knowledge of the universe. The Clowns knew this as well but would never say that to anyone but themselves.

But it holded the knowledge necessary to revert the effects of that dammnable spell of his, and return his brothers to their flesh and sentience once more. When this goal of his was complete then he can die for all he cared, his task was done. But until then he will carry on no matter what.

Even if it took ten thousand years he would fight ten thousand more if his brothers would live again. But he was not blind, he planned again and again for centuries to get the Black Library and he was pushed back every time.

This was... the twelfth time he reached it again, it seems that he lost his perception of time again.

The Siege of The Black Library by Ahzek Ahriman seemed to have going just like the others, but there would be change this time. And it would favor Ahriman. The Forces of the Cherished Son for the first time in millennia breached the inner sections of the library. Ahriman did not wait he immediately searched for what he came for.

The Harlequins would eventually push back the forces of Ahriman but after the battle they discovered that a single book had been taken by Ahriman. The Cherished Son finally took what he wanted and he would never search for it again.

Ahzek Ahriman after millennia of warfare won.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Fun Fact: Ahriman is actually right, while the Black Library houses the majority of the knowledge of the milk way galaxy it does not house all the knowledge of it or the warhammer 40k universe.

No let him finish his job!!!

Then we can find a way to spread our brand of insanity to the thousand sons!!!

Also since I did 30 orbital defenses it should be a 150 defensive bonus...still, looks like it's massive crash building time for orbitals and manufactoriums untill we're ready.

The Death Lord
The Plague Planet, the home of the XIV Legion the Death Guard the world is home with every kind of disease known and unknown to the mortal races of the universe. Countless shrines dedicated to the Chaos God Nurgle dot the world. Above it the plague fleets are stationed forever vigilante. Its geography looks exactly how Barbarus looked before it was destroyed during the Great Scouring ordered by the loyalist Primarchs. Mortarion hated every single part of it.

He should have known better - he knows he should have, but he didn't. He was too resentful of his father to care at the moment, he doesn't know why he did resent him. His father saved him and he repayed it by betrayal.

He still remembers how Horus convinced him to rebel, he played with his resentment against his father and the brotherhood he experienced with him. He was nothing but a pawn to him and his so called gods. Lorgar and the others may delude themselves into thinking that the forces of ruin are a good thing, but they aren't they will rot everything until there is nothing left.

He made so many mistakes in the past and now he is forever shackled to the so-called 'plague god' and the only person who could have possibly freed him is trapped in a throne in eternal pain.

Mortarion hated his very existence, from a outside perspective they would only see the disgusting wings on his back and his breather being fused to his face. But it was very different within. His internal organs had a myriad of diseases they also have already stopped working completely. His skin, muscles, and skeletal structure didn't exist anymore. He was pretty sure that if he wasn't a warp beast he would be already dead.

He wants to die, he wants someone to finally end this parody of a existence that is him, but again the only being who could so cannot do it.

The worst part of everything was how he became just like his foster father - who he was pretty sure once worshipped the supernatural garbage bag - he ruled from atop a mountain peak and the masses of humans below were ravaged by disease just like Barbarus.

Mortarion Hates It.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Fun Fact: Mortarion Scythe is completely free of corruption, this symbolizes his own hatred of his situation and remains a symbol of his eternal defiance against the plague god.

The Fate of Konrad Curze & The Night Haunter (Theory)

Okay so I gonna explain a theory of mine that may or may not be implemented on this quest, the theory is simple: What the hell happened with Konrad's soul after his death.

First we must come in his time in Nostromo. During his stay on the planet his personality splintered into two beings who housed the same body:

Konrad Curze - Son of The Emperor of Mankind, a person who genuinely wanted to bring true justice and hope to both his homeworld and the galaxy.

The Night Hunter - The split of the original personality, wants only to enact brutal punishments at everyone else.

Now here is where things start to get tricky, so while Konrad died and his soul went and joined the Emperor who is the human afterlife, the Night Hunter still exists within the warp, the mental scars left by the legend of the night hunter are still there which is why he still exists. He exists in a spiritual sense only acting within the warp, and now to get to the tricky part.

Since the warp has no concept of time, the histories and forms of a 'boogeyman' are in fact all real the boogeyman of humanity and other races was in fact the Night Hunter. So you can see that he heavily symbolizes the concept of fear, which is pretty important since you know there is a god of fear not yet to be born.

--[x] None, We wait for now until the cults rise up, however begin organization efforts via hidden rituals and pysker-communications or corrupted astropaths. Pave the way for the invasion of the local forge-world (secure the titans, DO NOT THROW DAEMONS INTO THEM, WE SHALL DECIDE THEIR FATE)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In the forge world of the Rosarious Sector, the various hidden chaos cults were contacted by the Shadow Guard through a myriad of rituals which allowed both sides to communicate.

Time was of the essence for the warband, the Imperium had send a investigation fleet into one of their holdings while the majority of the fleet was destroyed, a single ship managed to escape the system and likely has already warned the greater Imperium about their existence in this sector.

The talks lasted hours, pacts and promises were made between both sides. Information was exchanged. The cults would pave the way for the invasion of the forge world, and do whatever they can do to secure some of the titans

Convincing The Cults: 1d100= 32 + 20 (Astartes) = 52

I think it is a good thing we have all those Novas now, maybe we can ambush them? I just don´t want a bigger response then we can handle, we can win against a larger force but I don't think we can do it without excessive losses.

Next turn is a crash build phase, everything into fleet and orbitals besides more space marine building phase. Other then that we're going to get allot of shit done in order for a mass invasion of the forge world....and hopefully begin our conquest of the sector on a high note after we move capitals. Turn each world into a "recruiting" world for ourselves.

The II and XI Primarchs
Okay so I gonna reveal the fates of the II and XI primarchs of the quest:

II Primarch - It involved the Rangdan, basically his homeworld had peaceful negotions with various groups of Xenos, when he landed there he wasn't raised by human couple but a xeno who married a human (does this count as extra Heresy?) This made so that he was raised as a xenophile.

When he was found by the Emperor, his father was confused and slightly nostalgic (The Emperor was part of the Federation of Man who basically was the same thing, before everything went to shit), his brothers on the other hand, were furious about this (well except Vulkan). Then came the Rangdan Xenocides, the Rangdan infiltrated the world and his legion and infected them.

He along with his legion were driven insane and then the space wolves and Leman Russ came and had to purge them. They were 'mutated' into something else who killed billions in their madness. The Very Few who were still free of the Rangdan genetical infection were incorporated into XIII Legion.

XI Primarch - It involved chaos, you see the XI Primarch was designed to fulfill the daemon hunter theme for the imperium, and so chaos tossed him into a planet that was really close into becoming a daemon world. This unsurprisingly made so that he was corrupted and when he was found members of his legion and reunited with them he spread the coruption. Though he maintained it hidden from the Emperor and the Primarchs for a long time before he was discovered.

Leman along with Lorgar and a contigent of the Space Wolves, Word Bearers, Adeptus Custodes and Sisters of Silence destroyed the legion and the Primarch and the few remaining loyalists were incorporated into the XIII legion the Ultramarines.

Lost opportunity here.

Could have been the sons of malice, such a drag. We could have started our own black crusade...to destroy if chaos as possible and prolong the universe while being a force of ruin against ruin lol!!!

Gonna do a omake, it is gonna involve a puritan inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus, so wait for the eventual human genocide and exterminatus of a salvageable world.
