Harry Potter and the Skittering Spouse

I can see Taylor and Harry having a "fuck the drama, you are in fact desired" moment after a ginger fan girl says something ill-advised and high volumed.

One other thought is you might want a different title. There's a lot of "Vegas Vacation" out there.

Well, you're not wrong. I really just went with the obvious when I thought this would be another one shot.

Thoughts? Something might come to me later but right now I got nothin.

If it wasn't so long I'd say What happens in Magical Vegas doesn't stay in Magical Vegas but it's a bit wordy. Maybe Skitter's Magical Honeymoon, that might be a better one. Not really my best work sadly. I'm not especially gifted with good title naming.

Magical Arachnid Matrimony

Oh I like that one, though maybe without the Arachnid part, the alliteration and having only two words in the title would make it very snappy.

Oooh I've got another one. Harry Potter and the New Lady Black. It keeps to the theme of the original book titles, and is likely on point to the plot. @Fencer, have these been of any help for you?

What about naming it Until (Voldemort's) Death Do We Part?
It implies a good ending and references the marriage without hinting whether Harry and Taylor stay together or not.
That gives Fencer a little bit of wiggle room with what he wants to do with the story.
Thoughts?

Harry Potter and the Skittering Fear?
Feels like the right direction but Maybe not quite.

I'm not sure if "fear" is the right word for the title. While Taylor is good at inciting fear, it isn't the main thing about the story. Maybe "Skittering Spouse"? That gets the marriage idea across.

Yeah the Fear part is a bit iffy to me. It implies Harry is forever scared by Taylor.

That works better. But what about Skittering Espousal. It's sufficiently vague, but it is another way to say marriage. Or at least it is according to the quick google search I did on synonyms for marriage and that was one of the suggestions for it. Or if that doesn't work Harry Potter and the Skittering Union might work.

Title changes? Harry Potter and the Queen of Escalation fits with the HP side for names rather neatly. More fun than Half-Blood Prince at any rate. Vegas Vacation is good for an arc name and all but it didn't really stay in Vegas.

It fits the theme since it's more about Harry and Taylor than finding out more about Snape and all of…that.

If we're thinking in the direction of book titles, I'll throw in Harry Potter and the Queen of (Creepy) Crawlies, as Queen of Escalation is a bit meta/4th wall breaking and crawlies includes everything Taylor can control but crabs/lobsters - which, admittedly, the chance to encounter is quite low in a magical boarding school.

Chains of Vegas

I Went to Vegas and All I Got Was More Terrorists

Don't Drink While Destined

Skittering Wizards

Bugging Harry

Hmm.

Too bad it's not an Archer crossover. "Do You Want Bees? This Is How You Get Bees!"

How about "Harry Potter And The Shard of Conflict"?

I really hope that doesn't happen. I've had to stop reading most HP fanfiction because they turn Molly, Ron and Ginny into evil/greedy caricatures of themselves. I don't think I've ever read a non canon pairing that didn't have heavy Ginny bashing. I'm my opinion it's old and stale.

At the very least, Molly and Ron are absolutely awful in so many ways. Ginny, not so much.

That remainde me, can QA bud in Harry (or others) ? Because i don't remember is QA buds at some point in Worm.

Yeah it budded to Aiden, one of Taylor's orphans. So it's certainly a possibility.

There's a reason for that. Ron and Molly are pretty freaking bad people. Molly, there's just way too much to unpack, but for highlights she's incredibly bossy, she is a bitch to others if they offend her outdated sensibilities and listens way too much to rumor and then believes it. The way she treats Hermione and Fleur is unacceptable. Ron is incredibly selfish, is absolutely unmotivated to better himself without a mental health issue, is incredibly rude to others, and betrays his "best" friends much too often. Ginny is just a fan girl for 3 books, and not at all supportive of Harry in that time period. I just think she's a non entity and not really deserving of Harry, but I'm an unapologetic Harmony shipper.

And then there's the fact that Molly mindraped (and possibly physically raped) Arthur into a relationship with her via love-potions, as she admitted herself.

This is going to be part of the biggest sticking point for Taylor when it comes to wizard society. Emotion altering potions, memory charms, compulsion charms, and the imperious curse.

Valefor, Cherish, heartbreaker and ziz. She fought the first two and grew up on horror stories about the later two. wizards are just semi casual about human master abilities and Taylor is very much not. These are the nightmare fuel of her world and she's already been dragged into an inescapable marriage. Taylor is going to be very very not ok with any of this.

If weak-willed Harry is strong enough to break the Imperius Curse, Taylor shouldn't even notice, pseudo-muggle or not.

(Also, casual racism will probably irk her something hard. Even her friends using the term 'muggle' is probably going to get her rather angry.)
