Now, I wonder when Kiyohime and Haku will meet Harry and Hedwig. Maybe in the near future?
Yeah, there's a reason why I prefer two-letter designations ending in vowels for Abyssals, it generally makes it easier for finding names. The Ty-class for example are boats where finding names will be a massive challenge, should I try to add more of them. There's a few derivatives of Tyrant and Typhoon for suitable names and that's it.And I have recently come to regret naming Porta's freighter abyssal the "Wok-Class." Turns out that there's not many words that start with W O K. Sadly, there's to many bits I'd need to edit. But if that wasn't an issue I'd gladly take that.
Most of the small battleships would be WWI era girls and no matter what the British said, pocket battleships are not battleships or battlecruisers. And as far as WWI BBs goes, I don't think they'd make for a viable, fast heavy strike unit like a Re-class. They could be viable in relatively confined waters where speed advantages don't count for as much, but for blue water navies, small BB/CV combinations would be more of a problem. So, the Baltic, North, Black, White, Red, Mediterranean, Yellow, South China Sea, the Caribbean, the seas around Indonesia and Malaysia, the Persian gulf and so on. Those are places where small BBVs could potentially be found.Huh... though there are some small Battleships out there... still, that would be interesting.
-convincing argument I've ever heard.

Three letter codes ending in consonants are in that regard basically driving into a dead end. You can find a few useable words at best before resorting to fantasy names.
The most annoying Abyssal cultists are the Wo Miko and priestresses. Why? Three syllables:
WOLOLO!
If they meet, it would not be for some time. Now, I wonder when Kiyohime and Haku will meet Harry and Hedwig. Maybe in the near future?
Or modified versions of actual names... I mean, Wanda is a name that can be made into Wonda for example. And not all of them follow that (some of Hoppou's such as how a Ru-Class was named Sunny).Yeah, there's a reason why I prefer two-letter designations ending in vowels for Abyssals, it generally makes it easier for finding names. *Waggles hand* Some of the ideas to get around the WNT had some... really small Battleships. One of the ideas that Hiraga came up with for example was a 20,000 ton Battleship in 1928, two three gun 14 Inch turrets with a 26 knot speed. Both the British and Americans also looked into 25,000 ton Battleships, though they decided that the trade offs were not quite worth it.Most of the small battleships would be WWI era girls and no matter what the British said, pocket battleships are not battleships or battlecruisers. It is rather amusing really.Random note for the Far Eastern Elements.
The Daoist Traditions (and thus Onmyoudou) recognize the following as their classical elements:
> Metal - Water - Wood - Fire - Earth
The order I listed them in is known as the Creative Cycle iirc, where the previous creates or feeds the following. The logic is as follows:
> Metal forms (condenses) Water which nourishes Wood which feeds Fire which leaves behind Earth (ash) from which Metal comes from.
The Ancient Greeks had four Classical Elements:
> Air, Earth, Fire, Water
Aether was added later on iirc, by Alchemists during the Renaissance (sp?).
By the way, funny thing I noticed a while back:
Earth - Solid
Water - Liquid
Air - Gas
Fire - Plasma
Means nothing really, just a funny aside.
Or it would be Ai, which would be hilarious.Of course, the 'Air' aspect would probably be less then thrilled - after all, i can lagitimatly see their cult calling them several seeming good names with unfortunate asides - such as 'They whos Wind fills the heavens' or 'the great gasious one'
Yup.Is that the Shinano that one group of magical 731 remnants summoned from an alternate world?
Both, though I could have sworn that I had them show up before...And I guess we haven't had a theme song title drop in-story yet. Either that or you REALLY wanted to include the lyrics.
Wait, what? I thought that it was...EDIT: Oh, wait, the alt!Shinano snip hasn't been crossposted yet.
Well... yeah, it does hit hard.
She has had her for a long time now actually.
Seems about right to be honest.Nagamom's thoughts: "NEW DAUGHTER GET! GJ Ooi-chan!"
Potters' thoughts from the beyond, sharing James and Lily's view into Nagato's life: "Yup. Mhmm. Definitely. ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US!"
Meanwhile, Ian had to be dope-slapped by his significant others because he could not stop chanting as well.
Yes, yes it has... though isn't that also the ship that either Norimune or Jackie captained?
Because they probably did.
