Going Full Hollow (Bleach)

That's, uh, not really a secret? Whitey reads as a Hollow. Whitey has no mask, and Las Noches is full of partially maskless Arrancar. It's much more plausible that they will see that as Whitey's Resurrección, rather than something completely new.

Wait, do Hollows automatically get their Resurrección? I thought they had to at least work a bit to unlock it, but thinking on it I really don't know.

Either way, it's definitely broadcasting one of our trump cards and what we can accomplish with it.

Resurreccion seems to be something instinctive that all Arrancars have, though who knows what the hell is up with Segunda Etapa. And yeah us going mask will probably make it seem like we just went Resurreccion, unless people are watching us at this very moment and note the fact that we didn't say anything.

Hm. Would pulling out this Resurreccion thing be considered excessive for a sparring match?

As you watch you change your mind. These guys aren't fighting, they're just fucking around, trying to get behind each other and slap them in the back. Both have masks that cover nearly their entire heads and are of average height, but where one's tall and wears tight white clothing the other is fat and wears a baggy white hoody that obscures the rest of his head. The thin one has a vaguely beetle-like mask with horns and the other's looks like the wrong side of a tiki-shop, complete with gaudy paint in primary colors.
Wait. Those are the masks they gained after their original masks were broken. ...Did Nnoitra already attempt his coup and fail?

Yes. But we were also ordered to show our strength, and we aren't familiar with their customs.
Yeah unless we managed to get Nel to the point where she had to release her Ressurection to keep up with us (something Aizen has explicitly forbidden for the more powerful Espada) then I don't think she'll really mind. Let's face it we aren't going to be pushing her that far, though if we put up too good a showing then Nel might have a hard time explaining what happened to her powerful Fraccion if we leave.

[X] Fight Nel instead
[X] Use your mask

Rare opportunity to fight against someone who is definitely overhelmingly stronger without killing yourself.

Why, yes please.

Though IIRC the hollow being the real Zangetsu was foreshadowed waaaaaaaaaay back during the invasion of Soul Society.

...Actually, yeah.

That's kind of surprising. That kind of long-reaching stuff isn't really what people are used to expect from Kubo.

I'm a bit torn on the mask, but I don't expect us to be able to manage anything more than hopeless flailing without it.

It's not quite "real" foreshadowing. What Kubo does is lay a million breadcrumbs in a thousand directions so that when he eventually comes up with a plot he can just figure out which one fits and go "Just as Planned."

It's a trick most GMs learn to do at some point(unless you have players who obsessively collect all the breadcrumbs and then you're in trouble)

Because we are HARDCORE and not FILTHY CASUALS.

[X] Don't use your mask

Because that is a one way trip to getting Aizen's attention with the two loudmouths around and that is a Bad Idea.

From what I recall, only the Arrancars that could pass as human where able to use Resurrection. Monstrous Arrancar like Grand Fisher or those two dudes Chad and Ishida fought when they first came to Hollow land where unable to use it.
