Odds are, no XBox, too 'niche', prob. no manufacturing capability for it. Gaming is based on ancient stuff, prob. mid-to-late 1990s, or Earth Alph (code, DLC) imports. Gaming hardware also prob. ancient, or running on generic PCs. Which might not even be using Intel CISC hardware, more RISC processors, because easier to manufacture (older, cheaper, fabs).
The XBox IS generic PC Hardware, and in that

Which is one reason it dominated the PS3 so hard for most of the console generation. The PS3's architecture was difficult to understand, let alone program for. Meanwhile the 360 was much easier to program for,due to using a custom version of Windows as it's OS and PC specs for the hardware.

Nope, 3rd party controllers are still a thing. Companies like Mad Catz that were known for cheap and bad crap went under, but you can still buy 3rd party controllers. It's just different companies making them now. The way console makers encourage you to buy THEIR controllers is the fact 3rd party ones may not have all the features. For example, a Power A controller for the Switch wont have motion controls, an NFC reader, "HD rumble," and it's not wireless. But it's also $40 or $50 cheaper then the Switch Pro Controller.

EDIT:
Logitech also got out of the racing wheel and flight stick markets. That doesn't mean nobody makes them.
Oh, I know you can still get third party equipment, I've got enough Thrustmaster stuff to sink a battleship. But, they have to be licenced third party equipment. I know one of the updates on the PS4 had previously working but unlicenced equipment stop working. Licenced equipment has an ID chip in it that lets it work. Some unscrupulous third party hardware makers cloned the ID chips for properly licenced ones, but then the legit hardware get's a firmware update from the legit hardware maker and Sony or Xbox put out an update and suddenly the unlicenced stuff stops working again. Then the unlicenced companies clone the new ones and put out a firmware update (but not through the Xbox/Sony network) and the cycle repeats. There's reasons the Thrustmaster stuff is either Xbox or Playstation but not both.

Somehow, I suspect this push to force out unauthorized 3rd party controller manufacturers will end up with lawsuits that wont go in the console manufacturer's favor. Just like how all attempts to prevent 3rd party games without Nintendo, Sega, or Sony's approval kept failing. The only lawsuit that to my knowledge held up, the defendant actually had directly copied code from Nintendo, I think.

There's a large market for 3rd party controllers, especially for fighting games. I doubt attempts to shut such markets down will work out. Mind you, I tend to buy official controllers anymore. But that's mostly because the build quality is typically superior to 3rd party versions.

"Taylor," Taylor's father asked, knocking on her open door. "Have you seen Taylor III?"

"Basement," Taylor said, without looking up. "Playing with a rat that's dead." Taylor looked up, adopting a contemplative expression. "Well, almost dead."

Taylor politely ignored the initial, profane, component of her father's response. "How did he get down there?"

Taylor shrugged, turning back to her binder on emergency shelters. "Must have slipped past when you were getting stuff from the chest freezer before dinner."

"What is he thinking? It's not like the door is kept open, and I doubt he wants to spend the night down there."

"Dad, he's a cat. I'm more interested in what prompted him to suddenly start hunting, after all this time."

"I don't even…," her father began, before trailing off. "When I was making dinner, he showed up, looked hopefully at anything that might be food, and was generally a tripping hazard—"

"—as he does—"

"—and I may have, ah, expressed frustration that he wasn't pulling his weight."

"Well, there you go."

"Ha. Ha. That doesn't explain how we get him out?"

"Not it."

"Taylor, can't you just do the thing with the—"

"—I'm not using stinging insects to corral Taylor III. I hope for your sake he didn't hear you suggest it. If you really want him out of there just turn on the shop vac."

Note: Inspired by actual cat shenanigans.

Cats are great, even when they're being dinguses. I miss mine... but that's what cat videos are for, I 'spose.

"Basement," Taylor said, without looking up. "Playing with rat that's dead."
Should this be 'with a rat..?'

"What is he tinkling? It's not like the door is kept open, and I doubt he wants to spend the night down there."
I'm, like, 80% certain you mean tinkling, but you ought to include some mention slightly earlier of a noise (does he have a bell/collar?) to convey it to the reader. The other 20% is wanting to ask if you mean 'what is he thinking?'

Not with our kitties. On the other hand, mentioning tuna or getting out a bag of Temptations cat treats will cause 3 of 4 kitties to come running. Two of them come running once pizza finishes cooking or gets delivered. We had a bit of a panic a few weeks ago when Twister was nowhere to be found, due to already losing one kitty to them slipping outside unnoticed. Soon as the frozen pizzas finished cooking, he appeared as if by magic. One second he was missing, then a in the span of at most 5 seconds (me turning to check the oven) he materialized in a chair that had been empty.

"Finally," Emily said, reaching the last item on her list. "Why did you put in an order for us to courier a 'cultural artifact', with a stated value greater than ENE's annual budget, from headquarters to the apartment building?" And for Impulse, no less.

"It is coming in via the approved inbound portal pad," replied Dr. Weaver.

The two women were having a working breakfast in Emily's office, to make sure Emily caught the woman before normal office hours, when she would no doubt be off harassing some educational bureaucrat.

"Why not just have it portaled directly to the apartment?" Emily asked. "We both know you have permissions for it."

Dr. Weaver shrugged. "Armsmaster prefers portal movements go through one of the 'official' endpoints. Part of his efforts to fine-tune his detection apparatus."

Emily sighed. "Do you have any idea what sort of precautions the regs require for parcels with such high valuations?" Emily shook her head, continuing without letting the other woman answer. "Of course you don't. What is it anyway?"

Emily listened with a mix of fascination and bafflement.

"Why would you—" Emily began, before catching herself. Whatever the Vasil boy had done to warrant such a white elephant, she certainly did not want to know.

"Never mind," Emily continued, "I don't want to know. Use the damn portal service. I'll talk to Armsmaster."

Note: The problem with asking Dr. Weaver questions is that she answers them..

He's been badgering tinkers (Uber and Kid Win) about getting Custodian a body. Then Lisa suggested getting Dr Weaver involved with Alec wanting his "technically not Kaiser" digital pet.

Lisa sighed, and with a glance down at her cartoon fox pajamas, headed for her closet. Like hell she was going to let Alec see her like this.

Earlier

"What up, Duchess!" Alec said, putting the magic phone on speaker.

"Hello," greeted the warm but still obviously synthesized voice.

"Nice—got a new voice pack?" Alec replied.

"Yes. Some Sound Almost Organic But I Prefer Ones With More Harmonics."

"Awesome! You know I bet a bunch of people would pay good money to have an integrated voice augmented like that."

"Expresses Sign Of Pleasure And Appreciation."

Alec laughed. "Want to come through, troll some newbs?"

"After We Have A Delivery For You Is Now A Good Time?"

Now

"This better be important," Lisa said, imperiously bustling into Alec's apartment. "I changed out of pajamas for this."

Alec snorted. "I don't know why you bothered." He gestured at his own, well-worn pajamas.

"One of us has to keep up standards," Lisa replied. "So what happened anyway?"

Note: Alec keeps. Running. Away. With. Scenes.

The irony is that Max Anders really is a genuine nazi leader. Just like Hitler, Max isn't a True Believer. Which doesn't mean he's not a monster. He's just a different type of monster then "racist bigot".
