[X][PATROL] 3rd and 4th Companies

[X][CODEX] Set the Librarius upon it, to delve into its secrets.
[X][CRYSTAL] Enhance the Machine Spirit of the Land Raider in construction.

[X][WARGEAR] Acquire additional Librarians to best inspect the wargear as it is churned from the foundries. Nothing can be left to chance.

[X][VARRO] Accept. As the Inquisitor said, it serves them both. Varro will return a powerful Librarian, and the Inquisition will gain the service of a mighty Battle Psyker for some time.

[X][EYE] Have the Sanguinary Priests clone him a new eye. (2 Turns Required)

[X][MECHANICUS] 2 favours Commission, 2 favours expanding Forge

Available Missions:

[X][Galen] 2nd, 5th and 6th Companies

[X][TAINT] 10th Company, 7th Company, 8th Company

[X][CHAPLAIN] Dispatch three squads to assist the Master of Sanctity with his task. (Thunder-Four, Thunder-Six, Fury 7)

Even with Shrike no longer leading the crusade I don't think it is worth sending sending troops to the other end of the galaxy when we have more than enough to demand our attention at home, especially with that ominous warning from Dante. We need nether the prestige nor what ever small favour we will get form that and if the situation at home escalates troops on that crusade will take a long time to come back so I would rather not send anyone.

Instead I would focus on patrols this turn, both to gather some favours and ensure nobody thinks to capitalise on the distraction of Galen as well as to give the 4th some opportunity to reorganise themselves. Otherwise I think it makes sense to send our scout company on a scouting/fact finding mission and coose to give them two full companies to make sure they are able to quickly deal with whatever trouble they stumble upon (it also seems fitting to send the 7th, which has patrolled the sector for quite some time now, on such a mission since their experience might come in handy). Otherwise it is mostly personal stuff, like me preferring a upgraded Land raider over a already special Terminator armour as well as me being interested to uncover just what is hidden behind the codex action...

Speaking of the codex and wargear actions, do you guys think it worthwhile to maybe ask the Blood Ravens for their help? Stuff like that seems right their alley and one of the things their chapter is famous for is after all its Liberians. It seems like a cool idea to me though I admit I am not sure if it would be worth yet another favour as well as the picture of dependency it paints us in...

I also toyed with asking for some help for the rest of the Galen campaign, if only to speed it up and free those troops sooner than later, but with the Blood Ravens remaining in the theatre and it looking like the rest of tehs ector is finally joining the I decided against it in the end...

Is there any way to try to make Xavian's Corvus armor Artificer-quality? (Hopefully the two Notable Scout Sergeants get Artificer-tier armor, but...) Or perhaps even a relic? Without using the crystal on it I mean.

[X] Cornuthaum
All glory to the Hypno-Corn!
Voting for Cornuthaum's plan, though I do have a comment or observation to make.
Their adventure in the Warp was barely a week - but to their brothers, they vanished for five years. So their Chapter Master assigns him a decree to restore his Company, and replenish their stores of resolve and willpower before returning to the stars again. This, Hale Cicero accepted, for it is true that the 8th have not been on their homeworld for far too long.

But now, as the custodian of the Mountainhome in Quarto's absence, he strives to shut doubt from his mind.
@Cornuthaum The 8th Company already held down the fort at home during Turn 37. Are you sure it's a good idea to keep them there for a 2nd turn in a row?

On the cusp of the Third Damocles Crusade, Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike has unveiled yet another shocking development in this saga:

Kayvaan Shrike is stepping down as Warmaster, and withdrawing the Raven Guard from the Third Damocles Crusade.

Reportedly, Chapter Master Shrike came to his decision after meditating upon the wisdom of his forebears, as well as consulting Tu'Shan, Chapter Master of the Salamanders. After several days of discussion and debate with a steadfast ally of his Chapter since the days of the Great Crusade, he has finally come to accept that Dante was right after all.

Accepting that the Raven Guard are in no condition to spearhead a Crusade, and that he is not worthy of such a heavy mantle, Shrike has instead nominated Chapter Master Lias Issodon of the Raptors as Warmaster. This decision has shocked many, as Master Issodon was one of the few Successors of the Raven Guard who opposed the Crusade, alienating many of his kin in the name of his moral duty.

Prior to seceding his post, Shrike also drafted a new plan for the Crusade to follow, now that Exterminatus is no longer the objective. Though the ultimate objective of destroying the Tau Empire yet remains, it will not be done over the ashen corpses of billions.

Shrike reportedly visited Dante to apologise, and was met with the Lord Commander's own apology. In addition, Dante has lifted his Successors' moratorium on participating in the Crusade. The Blood Angels, it seems, will be joining this war after all. However, the majority of Blood Angels have gone silent after the War for Baal, with only standouts like the Angels Encarmine, the Crimson Crusaders and the Blood Angels themselves continuing their eternal war despite their losses.

For his part, though Chapter Master Lias Issodon is not enthused about his nomination, he has accepted his duty, and has pledged to both Shrike and the Imperium that he will do his best as Warmaster. The High-Lords have ratified his nomination, and it is likely that he will become the Warmaster unless a new challenger approaches.
Good that cooler heads prevailed.

IX LEGION IDENT-CODE: 'AZKAELLON'

+Thought of the Day: The light abhors, the darkness accepts+

Aurelius.

Something is afoot. We both know that some of our brothers have made dark bargains to mitigate the Flaw, but the Blood Angels have always turned a blind eye. With the Cure, I had thought our Legion would cast off this dark malaise on our honor, but our brothers have been quiet for too long.

You know how Chaos works. I fear that the entities our brothers bargained with have come to collect. Pray for them, Aurelius. But prepare. A Civil War may be upon us.

Be on your guard.

Dante.
Dammit, Blood Angels just can't catch a break.

They're first response reserve, not the company that holds the fort for this turn (that's the 9th). I don't like committing the entire chapter and having no fast-deploy reserve, particularly when we are engaging in at least 2 crucial hotspots within our backyard at the same time as well as committing to a campaign of xenocide.

Shrike reportedly visited Dante to apologise, and was met with the Lord Commander's own apology.
I know this is more a Salamander's thing... but I can't help but think that there were many hugs here as well.
Or at least drowning of sorrows over the countless dead brothers in bloodwine.

... so Chaos is calling in all its debts. Fuck.

And the Space Hulk may have other secrets, and has been towed into orbit over Forge World Evangelion.
1.
*Spews drink from mouth*
seconding this.
[Jk] Investigate.
-Does Forge World Evangelion build giant robots Titan Scale warmachines?
-Do they incorporate heretical xenos flesh biological systems?
-Can they generate Halos of light?
Nonononononono. See, we need to be investigating the arch-magos and their Titan Legions. If any of their Titan pilots are under 18, we're taking the bluenette, the redhead, and the wimpy kid back to the Chapter Monastery post-haste while we cleanse the Forgeworld with all the companies we can muster. Only one of them might become a Space Marine, but having an Imperial Knight or three swear to our service is a different matter.;)

Guys, the Evangelion jokes have been a part of GoD since the beginning.

Though the influence of the First Ancestral Race does seem to reach far and wide. We might need to call in the Ordo Xenos.

Titan Princeps Sirius Icarus has been part of the quest since Yuriel was a part of the quest. He was present for the War for Krumpburny. If I had actually finished that event, you would have seen him in action.

Also he's like a hundred years old at this point, he's not a kid.

As opposed to before, when they hit Baal with more forces then some of the Dark Crusades?
Because this time, it's all the chaos corruption in the chapters' erupting at once. More of the same false Crimson Crusaders we've had to put up with, more Khornate infiltration... but above all, this is Ka'bandha's final chance to turn the Blood Angels to Khorne. If he cannot have the full family, then he will take what he can get, and burn the rest.

And they're not stopping anytime soon.

If we give them Lilith/Adam, we'd be handing over probably Old Ones. I'd kinda like to hang onto Rei, which makes getting Xenos involved right off the bat... problematic.

Ok, there's just one question left:
Red, Blue, or OT3?

...And if it holds dangerous knowledge, we can simply destroy it.

This is not how dangerous things work in 40K, especially books with Omnissiah-knows-what in them. Destroying such a thing rarely stops it, assuming you get past the many situations where reading at all is enough to screw something up hard.

[X] Plan Corn, its efficient and fairly reserved, which is what we need right now after constant meatgrinders.

Thanks for reminding me, there's a chapter of BA descendants running around as Renegades, and we didn't see 'em at all during Baal.....

We didn't see them during Baal because if they had shown up, they'd be shanked by both Chaos and the Successor Chapters. If they haven't fallen yet, they'd be wrecking shit from the backlines... or be so pressured they've got no choice to fight within eyeshot of everyone else.

They defended Baal from the Tyranids, despite being traitors at the time, so try again.

His sister, Reyvalia, is currently the Heir Apparent for the position of Governor of Zeruel and next in line for Sector Tarsus, and is currently being groomed for that position by galivanting across the galaxy with her other aunt, Kerubiel. If Sirius still cared about those things, he'd probably be married to a redhead.
