Gamehammer 40K(Warhammer 40K/The Gamer)

[X] Look for any suspiciously large air vents leading out of the cell.
-[X] Failing that, hide under the beds in the cell if there are any. When a guard comes to investigate your disappearance, pray your Xenos cellmate can take him.

Can we just add that to my plan? we need skills and access to the gamer powers if we want a chance to survive this

Not enough details of enviroment. No weapons. Numerous guards. Our cellmate isn't particulary interested in saving us, and I am not even sure if he is in any way exceptional in comparsion to numerous guards.

Yeah, we are not escaping this next update. Grill the Orc in information, and then start doing 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats along with running 10 km. In circles. Hopefully is cell is big enough to run inside of it.

Gamer recovers stamina very quickly, IIRC, and the faster we start grinding relevant stats, the better. There is no way to grind mental stats for now, and STR, END, DEX are going to be very important anyway, at least for the foreseable future.

On other particular note, mentally browse Lore of Warp for anything particulary useful and see if there is anything applicable in this situation.

Another aspect of The Gamer is the ability to increase your skills at a rapid pace, or even learn new ones!
We have just been informed in character that we can grind.

[X] Plan mrttao
[X] Ask our cellmate why he is here, we can see that it says he is a traitor to orkkind, maybe we can subvert him. Or at least have him as a sparring partner to get better
-[X] This amazing boon from the emperor said we have been blessed with the ability to rapidly grow in skills. Lets see just how rapid it is. Start excercising. Start with pushups, then move to one handed pushups, to handstand-pushups, one handed handstand-pushup.
-[X] Look around your cell, try to see if there is anything you can make a makeshift melee weapon from. A shiv, a rock, and stick. anything is better than being completely unarmed.
-[X] Try to teach your cellmate the art of arm wrestling, aside from being amusing, it would be a good experiment for seeing if we can gain a new skill from it, and it will show us if competing against someone works better than training alone

handstand pushup should help with dex and endurance too, not just strength

If you want a weapon - that's fair, even if I don't think what stabbing giant green bulletproof humanoids to death with a shiv is going to happen any time soon - make it something concealable, since otherwise it's just going to be taken away.

Though, there is a fair chance what they are going to take it away regardless of it being a fullsized lasgan or just some small sharpened piece of glass or stone, since PC has no skills in item concealment whatsoever and probably couldn't smuggle a fly past a sleeping guy.

Initially that is a problem, but we can learn how to hide weapons really fast. And stabbing an ork in the eye with a shiv is more effecting than punching him unarmed. (as ineffective as it is)

Practice punching until Gamer does it?

They're Orks-they're probably going to put us in arena combat of some kind. I don't think we'll be slaves, since this is way too fancy for that.

[X] Plan BG
[X] Ask our cellmate why he is here. And if he is willing to work with us to escape.

-[X] Pray to the Emperor. Maybe he would be willing to lend a bit of protection?
-[X] Meditate to stay calm and keep your mind in order once you are fatigued.

@mrttao I don't think that arm-wrestling is a good idea. Usually Gamer's body would be a boon, but in this case it means that we could actually die from nothing but arm injuries. And considering that the Ork is 23 levels above us, one over-enthusiastic slam of the arm could pixelate us-assuming that that's what happens when a Gamer dies.

@Prospalz It might get taken away, but that's not the point. We can practice with it to generate the various masteries before we actually get into combat. (Blade Mastery, Blunt Mastery, ect.)

After enough grinding, punching Orcs to death is entirely viable. It is just not viable right now.

Try to teach your cellmate the art of arm wrestling
This serves no purpose. Also, Orc is unlikely to be interested. Also, likely to break PC's arm. Well, more like bite into HP since Gamer body, but still. Likewise, do not engage in friendly fistcuffs with Orcs unless you are really sure you can take it.

[X] Observe your surroundings for anything what could be useful later. Pay attention to all details.
[X]Grill your cellamate for information. Why exactly he is here, Where is "Here" in more details, what is nearby, where are other prisoners, what is going to happen to us, etc, not necessary in this order.
[X] Lore of Warp. You don't know how or why you know it, but you know it well. So, do you know anything anything particulary relevant to your current situation? Could you summon demons? Throw arcane fire at your enemies? Build a warp-drive? Turn yourself into omnipotent manifestation of warp energies? Anything?
[X] Aside from Lore of Warp, there is a whole set of new unknown things you suddenly discovered about yourself. What your new abilities really do? Test you limits. Exercise physically, see the limites of your strength and endurance. Pushups, running, whatever.
-[X]If this increases your stats, keep grinding.

Something like this. Yeah, first vote is the blatant fishing for Observe, but it is a very useful skill anyway what should be easy to get, so whatever.Add something about looking for concealable weapons if you want, but I don't think it is good idea right now.

  1. Ummm working with an Ork is so far OOC for a Basic PDF it's not even funny
  2. Observation would help a ton in the future so we can add that
  3. Gamer abilities will be crucail the faster we get them to work the faster we can exploit them
  4. Warp knowlege should allow us some magic so we need to work on that to get out of here
  5. Meditation and prayer are good things to work on can we combine that with our Knowledge of the warp? we need the maximum possibel benifit
[X] RevisedEmperor's own Gamer
[X] Alright alone in a filthy Xeno prison with no backup and weird power... doesn't matter The Emperor has a plan and so do I
-[X] Step one observe my surroundings in detail these primitive Xeno's have to have some flaws in their prison
-[X] Step two figure out what i know of the warp. it's crazy But obviously this power comes from the Emperor so i need to use it to the fullest.
--[X] Pray to the Emperor's for Guidance in fulfilling his will
-[X] Step three From what I can recall there where a few entertainment devices back home... maybe my power has the same commands? Pause,Menu,Tutorial,Inventory?

@Maragas I edited my plan on further reflection-he might not be a traitor to Orkkind, but rather to his former warboss. Either way, probably best not to ask an Ork for a spar either. They don't really know what "restraint" means.

First, PDF will work with whoever and whatever gets the job done. Especially since we already died once and presumably don't want to do it again. Sure, we'll stab him in the back once we're out of here, but until then, we need to survive.

Second, fair enough.

Third-I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say here. Is there a specific part of my plan that you are objecting to?

Fourth, let's avoid any obvious workings of magic quite yet. If you will check the front page, you will notice that we do not have Gamer's Mind. And the most readily accessible magic is sorcery, which is inherently corrupting.

Finally, that's what I'm doing, but cautiously. We really don't want to accidentally draw the attentions of any Daemons around.

Why would an Ork answer us?

NO just No that's a fast way for chaos our best bet is to at least take a non panikey look into what we know ( preferably while relying on the Emperor)

Im going to make this very clear for everyone. LIKE HELL WE ARE RAISING OUR BASIC STATS IN PRISON it takes time time we really don't have

Yes because an Ork will work with us. moreover we need to avoid pissing off the being that's over 20 levels higer than us. at least untill we get a weapon or skill that lets us fight

Not objecting just stateing whatever plan we use it needs to be a part of it

hence why I'm combining it with Emperor prayers we have the Empiror's attention lets milk it for all we're worth.

[X] RevisedEmperor's own Gamer

Meh, its not perfect (way to much in character stuff, plus i doubt he knows what a game is)
But its good enough for me

Why would an Ork answer us?
Because he is bored, and willing to talk. In addition, he might be a very strange orc, considering his title. Yeah no, wishful thinking. Reading too much into it.

NO just No that's a fast way for chaos
No, it is not. Think like a normal citizen of Empire or an Inquisitor; not like some caricature or a suicidal zealot.

Im going to make this very clear for everyone. LIKE HELL WE ARE RAISING OUR BASIC STATS IN PRISON it takes time time we really don't have
Not happening.

Rising low stats and low mastery skills takes a fairly small effort, so the effect is going to appear very quickly; and all our skills and stats are very low, and it is important to start grinding as early as possible.

That said - we cleary have Gamer's mind, but I don't see it in a list of skills. Is that a error?

You do not, in fact, have the Gamers Mind. Instead, you have the Willpower stat, which increases your ability to resist mind altering effects and sorcery.

But we are still seeing the windows, have stats, etc?.. I remember that being the part of the gamer's mind. I did noticed the willpower, but I just though what Gamer's mind was changed.

Well, those are irrelevant details anyway. No mind immunity is a bit a problem, but we just need to avoid pocking the chaos stuff. Green doesn't turn people into mindless cultists.

Knowledge of sorcery is grounds for execution, and for VERY good reason. The kind of daemonolgy we know right now could get most inquisitors executed. In addition, we, a faithful citizen of the imperium, have also just been told that the emperor is specifically watching us. To contemplate the terrible heresy of daemon-summoning just after being told that? We would surely be damned.

We need more experience with our powers before it becomes anywhere near IC to use warp lore for anything other than screwing over daemons.

You seems to be under impression what I want to summon demons, prolly because my vote mentions asking yourself if we could do that.

Meh.

It was more of a "What this actually does" kind of vote. Perhaps I should have wrote in "Could we summon Satan?", that certainly would have cleared up the situation, but I though it was clear enough as it is, considering the mishmash of questions.
