No. You do not come into my quest and attempt to dismiss a argument with 'I've been into this fer years, I know what I'm talking about'. If you disagree with mrttao, you can try and refute his points, but saying that your right because you've been into the topic for years instead of addressing his argument isn't going to fly.
I admitted he was probably right and that I was just reading his stuff wrong and confusing myself as it was fairly late at night, I apologise for being a dick with how I said it and wish to drop the argument as it in the end isn't worth getting annoyed over a misunderstanding caused by tiredness.

Greed
You decide to visit Boggs later. While serving as a guardsman had a certain allure to it, you knew good and well that it was a line of work in which individuals went home in bodybags more often than with medals.

You walked into the tent you were told he'd be found, and indeed, there he is, looking over a data slate. Looking up from it, he grins as he spots you. "Well. It looks like you decided to take my offer." He said. You only nod in response. "Very good." He responds, before standing up. "At any rate, I'll have to schedule a meeting with the inquisitor you're to be working under." He furrows his brow for a moment.

"Oh yes, before I forget, how okay are you with moving to, say, another planet?" He asks.

In response you blink. "I, uh, I'd be fine with it?" You state. Truth be told, you wouldn't really mind. You didn't have any family or friends on Niflheim.

Boggs sets his PDA down. "Wonderful. Now, if I were you, I would go collect your personal effects, should you have any." You nod and exit the tent. You silently bring up your status screen and raise every stat to twenty, putting the last point you have into strength. As a result, you feel...

Stronger. Smarter. Faster. You feel...

Better.

At that moment, everything seems to fade out for you...

4 Fate Held

Your eyes adjust to the dim lighting. Where....were you?

You seemed to be in some kind of poorly lit chamber, with shelves all across the walls, filled with various items. In front of you, a counter, with various items on it, and behind it...

You recoil at the sight of the mummy, a small thing, grey with age. It's very clearly human, it's skin dried out into a papery substance, it's hands bony claws resting upon said counter, it's face in a ghastly, toothless grin, and in each of it's empty eyesockets you can see a small, gold coin.

Greetings, friend.

You take another step back at the sound of the VOICE. "Who said that?" You demanded.

Be not afraid. I am not a enemy. I am merely a simple shopkeeper.

Your eyes settle on the corpse, as they widen slightly upon realizing that this ancient husk was speaking to you. "Wh-what in the name of the emperor?" You stammer out.

It's look doesn't change. "I was once human like you. However, aeons upon aeons ago, I fell upon a terrible curse, and now I tend this shop. When I was human, I was known as...Ah, but you may call me Greed. At any rate, the entity that gave you the power you wield, and the being that acts as benefactor to you, has struck a bargain with me. Along your travels, you may collect something known as 'Fate'. Come to my shop, and you may redeem this 'fate'."

...Useful. On the other hand...

"What can I get for it?" You ask bluntly.

"You may raise your level. Purchase unique items, skills. Acquire perks. Those sorts of things."

Well then. "What do you have in stock?" You ask.

Welcome to the Greed Shop. Inbetween chapters, you may use the Fate you've acquired to purchase unique items, skills, perks, or raise your level. The stat points gained via spending fate are automatically assigned to the lowest stat, and if there are two or more stats with the lowest value, it randomly picks one.

Stock:
[ ] Terror Aura-1 Fate. A terrifying ability to send friend and foe alike running in fright.
[ ] Machine Sympathy-1 Fate. Sacrifice your mana to empower Machine Spirits
[ ] Holy Sigil: Valour-2 Fate
[ ] Aura of Power-1 Fate. Increase the Strength of those who follow you
[ ] Raise Any Non-Lore of Warp Skill you have by 10-1 Fate
[ ] Purchase 1 Level-1 Fate

Further, you have a Perk Point. Perk Points are gained every ten levels and can be spent to purchase special traits.

Perks to choose from:

[ ] Party System: Allow others to join your party, allowing them to gain levels as well, though at a slower rate to you
[ ] Advanced Vitality: HP is now determined by multiplying VIT by ten and doubling the result
[ ] Better Levels: Leveling up now gives six points instead of five

Pick a Interlude:

[ ] Path not taken: Green Tide
[ ] Path not taken: Renegade

I'm fine with this. At least it means we are decentish at everything and just a level away from a perk in every field.

Will the other two be available the next time we gain ten levels?

We don't have clout to disclosure something as visible as party system yet.

Awesome.

[X] Better Levels: Leveling up now gives six points instead of five

I want all three of them, they all look amazing, but it'd be a waste not to get this first.

Question, what does this mean?

I stated that in the update? You get a extra level, with the points earned being added to your lowest stat(or if more than one stat has the lowest value it's randomly picked between them.)

Question, what does this mean?
That raises our level

We NEED to get this one right away to give it the maximum possible impact.

Advanced Vitality is really, really tempting, but the sooner we get Better Levels the tougher we'll be.

I considered the Aura of Power, but in all honesty I think we won't have too many subordinates in the near future. Better to hope for a perk granted at stat 25.

Ah. For some reason my head just didn't comprehend it.

Just so you know, the front page says we have only 1 fate.
