Right we are only hours away from season six finale.

Who's going to meet their doom tonight?

My bet is on Tomen, Kevan, Pycelle and maybe the high septon if the earth shattering KABBOM!!!! is coming.

Also, think we are going to find out other secrets tonight as well?

Since the finale is 69 minutes long, the longest episode in GOT's history and will allow for more screentime to be played out.

Okay go.

Basically everyone in the Great Sept is so fucking dead. Sans Cersi of course, we need our mad queen.

My bet is that the Wall falls.

If it does'nt, well, too bad. Next season. If it does, I totaly called it.

Also betting Cersei gets Tommen killed with the Wild Fire.

I doubt the Wall is going to fall, specifically because D&D tend to be less-than-subtle about big things like this. I mean, consider how much foreshadowing has been given to "Cersei burns everything": The flashbacks, the lines from Tyrion, investigation of rumors, comments of burning it all down, etcetera.

Now contrast that to the idea of "The Wall falls", which… uh, hasn't been built up to at all yet? Except as a "The North divided cannot push back the White Walkers" and "The Watch can't defeat them on their own" thing, which IMO foreshadows less the Wall's fall and more a confrontation (similar to the build-up to the Battle of the Bastards). I guess in theory it could happen off-screen (explicitly for the second of those two things), but I highly doubt D&D would skip out on an opportunity for another Battle on the Wall (or even just within one of the Forts) to cut to "Suddenly Night's Watchmen straggle to Winterhold and tell Jon that the Night King's coming".

At this point I really could not give a shit about KL, it's been just there since Tywin died on the shitter. Pryce's performance as the HS has been the only bit that has sparked any interest from me.

For some reason I have no bloody clue as to why I think this, since I'm pretty sure that Vary's role will go as expected.

But I have this ill-wind in the back of my mind that Varys will be heading for sunny places.

Just for D&D to go and be.

Or at least do this on something tonight.

Or how much they foreshadowed Oly killing Jon last year, they don't seem to grasp the school of less is more on foreshowing and that subtly is more appreciated and shouting it all for all the world to see.

Since it takes all of the surprise out of it.

They'll do something to pull the rug out from someone tonight, something to remind us that the starks are glutton for more suffering yet. Since they have 14 episodes to go at least if they get their wish of wanting 7 episodes for season seven and eight.

If they're going to pull a rug out from under the Starks, my guess is it's going to have to do with the Vale. They've already firmly established Littlefinger is not to be trusted, that Jon was not trusted with knowledge / to be told about them by Sansa (for some reason), that Littlefinger is out for power, that the Vale was sent (by proxy) through him, etcetera. "Littlefinger has the Vale turn on Jon / force him to take the black again / something of the sort" seems just the sort of thing that might be done.

Or maybe they'll just have Littlefinger put a dagger through Jon's heart only to learn that particular trick doesn't work on him / have Jon go "For fuck's sake, again?"

Cross-posting this from a thread on Facebook:

My predictions: we're gonna see a lot of minor and second-tier characters exit stage left. In King's Landing I think that we'll see Tommen and High Sparrow die, possibly also Marg, maybe other Faith Militant characters like Lancel. If the whole wildfire/Mad Cersei thing is true. Ser Kevan and Maester Pycelle have to die too.

Dorne: one scene here. Varys will probably meet up with (long, drawn out sigh) the Sand Snakes and Ellaria in Dorne. I hope he kills them.

Sam and the Citadel: Sam finally begins his education into becoming a maester. Sam either learns something important to the meta-plot or meets someone important to the meta plot, like Marwyn the Mage.

Something happens at The Twins during Walder Frey's wedding. Jaime is in attendance if the promo is to be believed. Possibly Arya sticking Walder Frey with the pointy end of needle? Or maybe some other kind of payback that's been a long time coming from other players? (BWB? Wyman Manderly? He's supposed to give a speech where he dramatically changes his political allegiance)

Iron Islands: I don't know but I'm hoping we'll get one more Euron scene, where it's revealed how truly crazy and apocalyptic he is, and maybe hint at his actual game plan (c'monnnn dragonbinder).

Mereen: Dany and her fleet set sail for Westeros, going east instead (aka the long way).

DA NORF: Jon and Sansa have a heart to heart, northern politics gets a look-in, people declare for Jon as King in Da Norf. Sansa maybe gets revenge on Littlefinger. Probably another R+L=J hint.

The Wall: I think we won't see the White Walkers until next season. I think we'll see Bran arrive at the Wall, Uncle Benjen Coldhands drops him and Meera off and then heads back into the Haunted Forest, maybe he has another vision (maybe a second R+L=J hint?).

There's speculation that Bran's branding from the Night King will have an adverse effect on the Wall's magic. I don't know if I want to commit to this as a prediction but the Mulder in me Wants to Believe. Anyway the theory goes the final scene of the season will be Bran crossing the Wall and the Wall's magic failing spectacularly. Dolorous Edd has just enough time to say 'Fuck me.'

Welp, Cersei just annihilated a lord Paramount house in about five minutes, committed kinslaying (Lancel) by proxy, murdered thousands of people, committed regicide, and destroyed a major cultural and religious icon. The crazytrain is off the rails!

THE KING IN THE NORTH!

Sansa not trusting Littlefinger? Delicious

Ok, I feel terrible, but I laughed at how abrupt Tommen's suicide was.

Dammit Jaime, the Mad King Queen is right there!

So, if Walder is dead, does that mean Arya is gonna rescue Edmure?

Ok, overall I really liked this episode, but whoever wrote this? Did you really have to include Wyman Manderly and "Vengeance, Justice, Fire and Blood" just to make us angry? What the fuck.

I actually feel sad for Daario

On the other hand, Tyrion is on the rise.

Cersei goes full fuck it and blows up of the Sept and everyone in it.
Tommen suicides unsurprisingly but still with an impact.
Arya revenges on the Freys.
Daenerys finally sails to Westeros with the aid of Varys and his teleporter tech.
Baelish gets rejected.
Basically all but just flat out said who Jon's parents are.
But in the end we got pure magic:
JON SNOW KING OF THE NORTH!!!!!!! LONG MAY HE REIGN MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!

Since Cersei did the thing, do you think Jaime's going to just up and leave her next season? Will he go meet Brienne and Pod in the North to join the winning team?

And most importantly, with the Riverlands on fire again and the Lannisters left to take it back, Cleganebowl back on?

Oh that was fucking awesome.

Crossposting.

R+L=J CONFIRMED. That's pretty huge.

Long Live the White Wolf, Jon Stark DA KING IN DA NORF!

Yeah Manderly got shafted but goddamn did Lyanna Mormont shaming the Northern Houses more than make up for it.

Sansa was good in this episode. Played Littlefinger and apologized to Jon.

Holy shit we got Frey Pie. HOLY SHIT.

RIP Hogwarts Janitor.

RIP 90% of the King's Landing Cast.

RIP: Tommen, I didn't know you where an Arryn.

And Cersei became the Mad Queen.

Jamie looks fucking pissed.

Sam's mighty calm considering his father is likely coming to murder him.

...I didn't hate that Dorne Scene, this is an odd feeling. Though it seriously raises the question why they didn't just have Doran execute the Sand Snakes and have him there. Couldn't afford the actor

Dany is finally setting sail, Ahhh Yeah.

Dany dumps Daario. Are you toying with me show? Is Yara/Dany actually going to become a thing? The fuck?

This is one of those moments where you really have to ask how much time passes between scenes because Dany leaving must have taken place several months after the Siege because Not only was Varys there, Dornish ships where there.

I suspect we will see many complaints in the days to come but that was good, that was damn good. Particularly the opening bit.

So....

King In The North 2.0 get hype. R+L=J confirmed get hype. Littlefinger gets the finger from Sansa get hype.

Lyanna Morment is the princess who was promised of my heart. Greatest character introduced in the last few seasons. Glad that Jon and Sansa had the trust talk, kinda wish they'd helped justify Sansa not saying anything but ah well.

As a side note, I actually felt sympathy for Mesilendre since she's been showing actual human emotion this whole season and seems legitimately remorseful for what she's done. Hope to see more of you, Red Woman. Maybe she's headed for the Brotherhood to rally them to Jon's cause.

Dany and Tyrion en-route for Westeros. Fire and Blood get hype. Also, Tyrion getting named Hand by Dany restored any lingering frustration I had with her to completely zero.

Cersei's revenge first broke my heart (Loras and Marg, no!) and then made me smirk (Septa Evil Lady enjoy your new home). And then my gut dropped out when Tommen leapt from the window. That poor, poor child.

Arya did some teleporting shenanigans and fulfilled the foreshadowed "Violator of guest right was fed his own children" story from Bran back in season 3. Guess Jaquen let her nab a face? Or maybe it was a fair trade for the Waif's? Don't care, still enjoyable. Although was it her who was sizing up Jamie...for the kill?

Total satisfaction, only issue is that Dorne appears. Though Olenna makes it bearable, even though ultimately it doesn't erase how fucking stupid everything about Dorne was and is. Glad that Theon is in a better place now too.

Unlike last year's finale, I am legitimately excited for next year once again. Who cares if we predicted a lot of it when it's pretty much what we wanted to begin with?

Qyburn is still my favorite character. Part of me even hopes Cersei succeeds (even though she seems more or less screwed at the moment) just so he gets to live.

Welp, Cersei just ... committed kinslaying (Lancel) by proxy,

Lancel? She killed Kevan!

Lancel? She killed Kevan!

Oh wow, I can't believe I forgot that. How the fuck has anyone sworn loyalty to her, since she obviously just murdered Lord Tywin's only remaining brother? Why the fuck were all those Lannister Mooks (And presumably some Westerner lords) kneeling?
