I know! Manipulate and Detonate sound freaking awesome! Seriously, "turn things into bombs" is a very good power, as is telekinisis or the like. Why everyone wants to be boring and god mode I never understand.
From a strictly in character perspective, if you want to be a hero or a villain, it makes sense to try to grab the most potent power you can safely use. I mean... If I existed in a world where superpowered heroes and villains were a thing, and I lucked upon the ability to pick my own power, I sure as hell would try to get as close to godmode as possible.
==> Add numbers above powers indicating the number of times Progenitor thinks we would use them within the next week assuming that we took that power
==> Add numbers above powers indicating a rating between 1 and 100 based on how useful Progenitor thinks we would find them within the next week assuming that we took that power
==> Place red rings around any power which is harmful to the user
==> Place numbers above powers indicating the likelihood of my sister choosing that power or its equivalent from her own room

We have a cooperative relationship with our sister. Let's make sure to keep that in consideration when picking out our power. It could be nice to have a power that lends itself well enough to working with others.

I'd rather stay in a more reasonable weight class. I mean I don't want to be the kind of threat that attracts a lantern or Superman type BS powerlevel hero, but I don't want to be somebody Batman can take on either.

Powerwise, I'd perfer to go a minion based route as those can be alot more interesting then just straight up going for reality warper. Remember that we become to OP then things just get plain boring. It's one of the reasons I hate superheroes like Superman, so powerful that the only way to properly even things out is to give the character an obvious weakness.
We need to remember that this is about making a fun quest, and not just go for the overpowered option.
@kildar, that image of your's is hurting my eyes. Could you please at least spoiler it before you cause a seizure?

If your talking about Splintered, then I know how good the QM is with OP quests, but I still believe that- in this quest? -that's not going to work so well.
I'd prefer to be a heavy hitter. Nothing as OP as Superman. Think Green Lantern level which doesn't reach into bullshit tier: Hard Light, Creation and Manipulation of our powers.
Something which would let us lift our own weight. I've no problem on cooperation, especially with our sister, but relying on others as our power isn't to my taste. Seems like trading direct agency for management of others.

If the previous AI that was governing this dimension is out of commission does that mean the spot is open? Maybe we should try to make a new better AI that's more loyal and helpful. Sure it didn't work before but now without the old AI blocking us maybe it's possible.
Maybe even have it take some powers and help us out. Or maybe just create other entities (like our sister did with her puppies) and have them take powers.
Finally maybe see if we can connect to other dimensions even if it's just the windows, we previously aimed for looking into our home reality which was both successful and showed that time seems to flow differently (and to our benefit) here, might be other things to take advantage of if we keep looking.
Or I guess just abuse the time flow difference, after all we're now apparently sort of god-like within this sub-dimension, we could just forget the whole powers thing and just hang around and be god here. Hell we could play god for centuries and it's likely no one would even notice due to the time difference.

What Progenitor's sentinel is feeling right about now:
=>Attempt to filter "Powers that alter the bearer's personality" (immediately/persistently/forcibly, as a consequence of the functioning of the power; obviously having powers of any type is going to change you over time and that's not predictable or likely to be filterable)
==>"...except where compensated for by other powers in the same cluster."
==>Mark them with a red X.
=>Attempt to filter "Powers that impede the bearer's cognitive or perceptual abilities" (again, directly by screwing with your brain/senses; don't filter a power that makes walls just because it doesn't let you perceive through walls)
==>"...except where compensated for by other powers in the same cluster."
==>Mark them with a blue or green X.
Some of them are marked, but none of the "optimal" powers are.
=>Attempt to filter "Sentient powers"
Already done.
==>Attempt to filter "Sentient powers that can communicate intelligibly with a human bearer immediately on or soon after acquisition."
==>Attempt to filter "Sentient powers that can independently (use | modify the usage of | prevent use of | hinder use of) the power."
==>Attempt to filter "Sentient powers that are capable of (influencing the bearer other than by communicating with them | ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL of the bearer)."
==>Attempt to filter "Power clusters with >1 sentient power" (oh god shard drama...)
Filtered.
==>Attempt to filter "Sentient powers with personalities Progenitor finds particularly amusing/interesting."
Failure.
===>If successful, maintain these filters through all future steps.
Relevant powers have now been marked.
==>Compare the "Emissary" and "Aberration" clusters that appeared when searching for powers with secondary and tertiary powers to the "Emissary" and "Aberration" powers and/or power-clusters that appeared when searching for powers of parents.
As far as you can tell, the versions that appeared while you were searching for tertiary powers are just... better. The central part is optimal in terms of brightness, mass, and number of sides, while your parents didn't have any secondary powers at all.
===>Subtle differences in the central power, if any
None. The differences are pretty blatant: possibly more powerful, versatile, and more possibilities for what you could get than the shapes belonging to your parents.
===>Differences in the associated secondary and/or tertiary powers
Your parents didn't have any secondary or tertiary powers.
As for greater studies of them... some secondary/tertiary powers appear to complement the central power, while others don't seem to have anything to do with it. The former is more common, however.
====>If found, search for "All powers designated as 'Emissary' or 'Aberration' and/or power clusters centered on 'Emissary' and/or 'Aberration'" and compare available sub-power sets.
The other versions of "Emissary" and "Aberration" are inferior.

Sadly, you cant find a power with that exact description. The closest cluster is as follows:
- White+Gold: Upgrade {Sentient}
- Blue: Analysis
- Blue: Comprehension
- Blue: Record
- Blue: Learn
- White+Gold: Reverse
- White: Repair
- Gold: Overdrive
- White: Immune
- White: Borrow
Additional sentient capabilities: Cannot immediately communicate, can "Assume Direct Control", can use power while controlling.
Cannot prevent, hinder or modify use of the power.

- White+Gold/Silver: Assimilation {Sentient}
- Blue: Analysis
- Blue: Comprehension
- Blue: Record
- Blue: Learn
- Blue+Silver: Innovate
- Red+Gold: Assemble
- Purple+Blue: Collaborate
- White: Safeguard
- White+Purple: Preserve
Additional sentient capabilities: Cannot immediately communicate, can "Assume Direct Control", can use power while controlling.
Cannot prevent or hinder use of the power. Can modify the usage of power.
