[X] Assume the best - Nanoha is going to walk through that door in just a moment with some nice treats for you! Just wait a bit ....
You tense up, ready to do something - but just as quickly, your moment of almost-worry fades and you relax. There's no way anything bad could have happened to you! Not only are you extremely powerful, but Vita was right there, and you can't think of anything that would be able to get past her and incapacitate both of you without her group doing something about it. So obviously whatever happened was dealt with, and this is just a temporary stay at some other location because .... You can't really think of a reason they would move you, but that doesn't matter. You just have to sit and be patient - Nanoha and Vita are definitely going to come see you once they realize you're awake, and Nanoha will have some nice tea and yummy treats! You just have to wait, and you're good at waiting. So you climb back onto the bed and wait.
You sit and wait. And wait.
You wonder whether you should go out anyway - you don't see any cameras, after all, so how would they know you're awake? - when the doorknob turns, and you start to smile. Then the door opens fully, and your expression fades to neutrality as a woman with short reddish hair walks in, wearing something similar to a nun's habit and carrying a small tea set. She smiles and bows her head.
"Ah, Miss Flandre Scarlet? I am Sister Schach Nouera of the Church of the Saint King. I'm sorry it took so long for me to get here," she sets the tea set down on a small table and begins pouring a cup, "but I was helping with some other duties and it took some time for someone to work up the nerve to interrupt me. Are you feeling well?" She pulls a chair over for you to sit at the table and, after a brief hesitation, you hop off the bed and walk to the table. You can smell the tea, and while it has a nice scent, you can't place the type ... although you can tell they didn't add any blood.
"It's good," you say a moment after you take your first sip, though you aren't sure how you should take the woman's lack of response. You frown and put the teacup down, then look up at her. "... What happened? Is Vita alright? Where is she?" You aren't particularly worried - she must know something about you, if she was someone they specifically wanted to talk to you first, and she doesn't seem nervous about anything - but not knowing what happened is bothersome, since you won't be able to prevent it in the future.
"Hmm ... you don't know what happened?" You nod. "Well, what do you remember? It might be easier if I know what you know." You watch her for a moment, then shrug.
"Vita was letting me play with their Simulator, but then I got bored and went back to her. She wrapped a blanket around me for some reason, then I fell asleep and woke up here." Your eyes narrow slightly as you catch a smile play across her lips.
"Ah, 'for some reason?' Well, from what I was told and what we've been able to determine by examining you," your eyes narrow even further, but Schach holds your gaze and continues, "we have no idea why you passed out, which is why we were hoping you had some idea; however, the reason Vita had the blanket ready for you is because you had very nearly destroyed the dress you were wearing. It was a normal dress, not designed for any sort of rough play, let alone the sort of abuse you put it through." You blink in surprise, then look down at the dress you're wearing - it looks the same as the one you were wearing, but it certainly isn't showing the signs of battle it should be showing. "As for Vita - she's alright, but she isn't here anymore; she left with the helicopter several hours ago."
"Then I'm leaving," you say firmly. Schach looks at you in confusion. "I'm staying with Vita; if she isn't here, then I'm going to go where she is."
"Ah, wait -" she recoils as you hunch over, wings splayed and eyes burning, then swallows and tries to recover. "Miss Scarlet, please - unless and until you actually join their unit, it would only cause problems for them all, especially Vita, if you tried to stay there, and they're still working on contacting your family. And ... well, if you tried to leave now, we wouldn't be able to help you." She gestures out the window. "Do you know how to get to where Vita is from here? Do you even know if she is still at Long Arch?" That stops you, and you straighten a little, shoulders and wings slumping as your head droops. She's right, you don't know where Vita is or how long it would take you to reach her. You nod sullenly. The short silence is broken by someone clearing his throat.
"Ah, Sister Schach? I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
"Inspector Acous? Ahh ...." A man in a white suit kneels down in front of you.
"Flandre Scarlet? My name is Verossa Acous; I'm an Investigator for the Bureau, and there are a couple things I'd like to ask you, if you feel up to it." You look up and see that he brought a medium-sized box with him, and shrug. "The first thing is sort of a request from Vita, she wanted to see if you could be outfitted with a Device of some sort -" He stops as you dart forward, a huge smile on your face.
"Really? Vita asked that? When can I get one?" The man smiles, his blue eyes twinkling, and shakes his head gently.
"First, we need to get a measurement on your output. Normally we'd just run tests on your Linker Core and work from there, but that doesn't seem to be an option in your case, so we need to do it the hard way." He pulls the box over. "Vita said you had a kind of sustained-use ability - a sword made of fire? When you do that, are you constantly outputting energy, or do you just give it one big pile of energy when you form it?"
"A constant flow," you say - you're so excited! A Device means you can make a Barrier Jacket, and that means you don't have to worry about your clothes being damaged anymore! Verossa taps a few points on the box, and part of the side facing you slides away.
"If you would put your hand on the sensor there, and then do a low-scale flow, we can get started," he says, and you look dubiously at the box. It's a dark grey metal, but the 'sensor' seems to be made of glass. You glance at him, and he smiles encouragingly. "Go on, it'll be fine." You sigh and put your hand on the sensor, then close your eyes. He said 'low-scale,' so you decide to start with the same amount of energy as you would use for a five-meter flame blade. After a few moments, you hear a sharp intake of breath and hear a thump - then there's the sound of shearing metal, and you pull away from the box. One side of it seems to have ripped itself away from the rest of it, and the two humans are staring at you nervously. "Ah ... well. We might want to use one of the lab units, rather than a field unit, next time."
"I'm not getting a Device, am I?" If they can't even get you measured properly, how are they going to be able to get a Device that works?
"Oh, I think you will, it just might take some time. Fortunately, we did get some data, so next time shouldn't be so ... interesting." He smiles again. "Well, I did have something else to ask you .... I know you already talked with Fate about getting you home, and we do have some people getting ready to go there to see if there's something we missed, but sometimes people know things without knowing they know them. We have a way that would let us access your memories related to your home and how to get there, and that could help us get you home faster ...." He trails off as your stare hardens.
"You want someone to read my mind?" That sounds like an extremely dangerous proposition ... although maybe you could get Headless her own body!
