Because Flandre is more than a bloodthirsty monster (Headless aside). A mind-reading would reveal that, as well as the fact that she can survive just fine on blood mixed into food.
but the real reason is that I really, really like stupidly trusting gestures

I'm not sure what you mean, though - it's a two-part vote, where the first part is "Do you let the Mind-reader in and do you have any other questions?" and the second part is "What do you do later?"
That was a poor choice of words on my part. From what I can tell, you count every addition and alteration separately, which means I have to vote for someone else's to get mine counted even though they're mostly the same. But I understand that counting votes any other way is a huge headache.

Wouldn't the voting software count them separately as well?
... Although I'm not sure what you mean about voting for someone else's - you aren't. Your current vote is -
- and currently you're the only one voting for it. The other votes are for 'requiring blood before allowing the mind-reader in' and 'not warning them about Headless, and asking about not being hungry.'

There's an option to count individually instead of a lump. Like this:

We're sooo close to getting a device, that'll mean invincible clothes, immunity to Flandre's weaknesses and the ability to cast spells that don't consist of blowing things up. Blowing that by causing some poor therapist to claw out her eyes seems like a bad idea, besides wanting to have mental privacy is something would be hardly surprising I'd be more surprised if someone did outright agree to it than if they were unsure.

So when should we tell the Nanoha Crew some stories from Gensokyo or simply our family, i'm sure Marisa pops in from time to time between incidents to tell Flan a story or play with her. Plus i'm sure she's attended at least one of the post incident parties at the shrine.

Actually someone should write an omake of Flandre telling everyone the story of what happened in Imperishable Night with the natural mistakes and inconsistencies caused by her getting the info from Remilia (who likely embellished a lot of parts although Sakuya probably corrected a few bits) and then Flandre herself not quite understanding it.
