[X] Keep talking to Ginga and Cinque.
-[X] About Satsuki's capabilities. Maybe they can help find someone in her skill range? This world seems unusually good at non-lethal fighting, so if you're ever going to teach her to defend herself without putting her where she has to snap and kill a couple of people first theres nowhere better.

Seems like a good preparation vote for later times. After that, we'll go back to sleep.

You open your eyes slightly to watch them for a while. Ginga is focused on the tower, almost ignoring you, but Cinque gives you a weak smile and a one-shouldered shrug. After almost a minute of studying the tower, Ginga finally draws out a block from about halfway up. She sighs and gingerly sits back down as Cinque shakes her head. "… Then is there someone we could bring here to help her? Or that I could take her to?" Ginga frowns at the tower as Cinque studies the corner to her right.

"You think you can teach her to fight, but not that you can spar with her yourself?" You nod.

"Yes. I can teach her the forms easily enough, make sure she stands properly and shifts her weight with the strikes and all that, but when it comes to sparring, I either have to slow down to a human level - which isn't going to help her any more than just rote practice will - or I fight at my level, which is … a bit above hers, so she won't really learn anything from that. Beating someone senseless until they finally master something isn't really a good method for teaching." Ginga leans back as Cinque pulls a piece halfway out of the tower. It wobbles unsteadily and the one-eyed girl freezes before taking a breath and smoothly drawing it the rest of the way out. The tower doesn't collapse and she smiles at Ginga before sitting down and looking at you.

"How much does she know about fighting? How much experience does she have?" You look up at the ceiling for a moment, thinking, then shake your head.

"Basically none. Meiling started teaching her before we left, but I don't think she has any actual experience with fighting under her own cognizance. And when she goes berserk, she just sort of swings wildly." Ginga shakes her head at the tower and leans back in her chair.

"How much magic does she have?" You shake your head again.

"None. She's just really strong and really fast." Well, she does have that 'eliminate magic' thing, but it's not really relevant since you want to get her more confident in herself before working on it anyway. Ginga scowls.

"Well, that's most of the strike arts schools out of the question. 'Strike arts' is one of, if not the most common, martial arts forms here on Mid-Childa. There are a lot of schools, and they have some minor differences, but they're all basically close enough to each other that they can be categorized as a single broad style. The problem is that strike arts combine physical and magical skills, so if Satsuki doesn't have any magical ability, most schools won't take her. And if you want a sparring partner for an untrained fighter, you're really going to need someone with magic so you can keep injuries minimized, so the few schools that don't use magic probably won't have anyone you can use to help train her." She sighs. "And that's all completely apart from whether any of them would be willing to take someone who can only come at night - and if you'll actually be able to keep up with the scheduling, since you might be off on missions." You share her scowl.

"What about in the Bureau, then? You guys like non-lethal fighting, so you must have people who are skilled in using and teaching unarmed combat, right?" Not that humans can't kill with their bare hands, but it takes a lot more effort than if they use a tool. Ginga sighs again.

"Yes, and most of them are serving as instructors and so already have heavy workloads; I'm not going to ask one of them to come help teach and train someone who isn't a Bureau member and won't be, and is only going to be here for a few months, and can only be taught at night." She rubs the side of her head and tries smiling at you. "I'm sorry, Flandre, I didn't mean to snap at you." You nod and wave off the apology.

"It's fine." Ginga nods and takes a deep breath.

"Zafira." Cinque's murmur comes out before you can continue, and you and Ginga both look at her. "Does he still stay with Shamal or Hayate?" Ginga blinks and nods.

"Yes, he doesn't normally go on missions unless he's with Hayate, and since she's usually kept here …." She shakes her head and looks at you. "He might be able and willing, but you would have to talk to Hayate. I think Admiral Harlaown said she'd be here tomorrow when Fate gets her - oh, or Alph. She's Fate's familiar." You raise your eyebrows as you recall the little wolf-youkai. So she's a familiar? "And … she'll probably be coming along to keep an eye on Fate. You'll need to talk to Fate about her, and then get her to agree, too." How would you do that …? Probably claim that if you do need help on a mission, and Satsuki isn't experienced enough, then Fate would have to come help. It might not work, but …. You nod.

"I see. And they'll both be here tomorrow?" Ginga nods slowly. "… Is something going on? Hayate will be here, and … you said that there was supposed to be a training session that would probably be moved." Ginga winces and shoots a look at Cinque, who looks a little like someone who did something wrong, but not completely.

"Yes … sort of. It's not exactly a … a party." Ginga sighs and shakes her head. "Fate needs to relax and take things more slowly, and it's a good occasion to get as many people who care about her together as we can. So … yes, something is happening. And we'd very much appreciate it if you don't let her know, okay?" You nod at the worried-looking sergeant.

"Of course! I don't even know how to call her, anyway." She relaxes and leans forward onto the table - and the tower collapses, startling her and making her tumble back out of the chair. Cinque chuckles.

"I believe that's my win, Sergeant Nakajima." Ginga scowls up at her before smiling resignedly.

"Yes, yes. I'll see what my father has." You cock your head and look at them. Cinque smiles.

"We play for movie nights. If I win, Sergeant Nakajima brings in a few movies and we decide which we want to watch." You nod and she starts collecting the fallen pieces, organizing them on the table. Ginga starts helping as well. You could call Hayate - and didn't Ginga tell you before that if you really wanted Vita to come to Gensokyo, you should ask her? - but if she'll be here tomorrow, you might as well wait.

What do you do?

-[X] Oh, hey, do they need help with food for that special occasion for Fate? You are a pretty good cook and it's a way for you to contribute something for it.

If we can't sway people with words, sway them by the stomach? I figure there will be some snack food, at the very least.

A excellent Idea. Passes us through the deadlock of asking something that we know isn't going to happen.

"So … about that party for Fate. Do you guys need help with getting food ready or anything? I'm a pretty good cook, and there isn't much else I can actually do to help." It's almost a shame you didn't get the keyboard, since it would have allowed you to play something for them … almost. You're not really convinced that it would be as good as a real piano, and you like being able to take care of the real thing yourself. Ginga frowns at you.

"You are?" You glower at her - she really should know better! But before you can really get cross with her, Cinque nods.

"Agito spoke highly of her abilities." Ginga hesitates and stares at the other girl for a moment before turning back to you. You smile and nod, kicking your legs idly. You're actually a bit surprised that Agito said anything, and that Cinque found out about it. Does she talk to them when their schedules allow it, or were they held together for a time? … What else did she tell them about you?

"Mmm … does the kitchen here work for you? Is there anything you're going to want or need?" You shrug.

"Kitchen should be good enough, from what I remember. It's certainly big enough to work properly. Anything I'd need is going to depend on the menu, but unless you want something really exotic it probably uses something that's already in the kitchen or can be replicated with things that are there. Biggest problems would be more for ingredients and cooking time, although that will depend on when the party is and when it starts, what needs to be made, and anything else I'll be doing." Ginga looks a bit relieved and shakes her head.

"No, I … never mind. If the kitchen works, then - Cinque, would you mind taking her there, just to make sure? I'll call the admirals to make sure no one else has any particular plans, and to see what they want." Your eyes narrow slightly, but Cinque bows politely and stands up.

"Of course, Sergeant Nakajima." She looks at you and you shrug back at her before floating out of the chair to follow her out of the room. "… I think you keep surprising her." You cock your head to the side.

"But not you?" She shakes her head.

"The Doctor spent some time studying you, and of course we observed your actions …. And then Agito and Miss Lutecia told us more about you." She smiles, head shaking. "Nove believed that Miss Lutecia wasn't telling the truth about you being good with the piano, but I think she's starting to realize you're more than the violent monster that killed our sisters. She … she is getting better, so please don't be too harsh with her." You shrug.

"As long as she doesn't cross certain lines, I can tolerate a lot. And unlike humans, I don't have the expectation that everyone is capable of getting along with everyone else - some people just aren't going to cooperate or get along with certain other people." She nods and smiles.

"Thank you." She walks along quietly and you float after her.

"Do you mind if I ask you something?" She frowns slightly but nods. "When I was here before, a lot of Gadget Drones attacked the city at the same time as Lutecia and Zest attacked the Church. Two of your sisters attacked me. Do you know why?" Her expression darkens in sadness and she doesn't reply until after you're in the kitchen and making sure everything works. It's certainly better-equipped than Caster's was ….

"Originally, the plan wasn't to involve you at all. The Gadget Drones were simply to keep the Bureau from assisting the Church effectively. And even after you came out, the Doctor initially wanted to avoid targeting you - he realized how dangerous you were, and Sette hadn't been involved in live combat before. But … Tre believed it was too good an opportunity to pass up. Your actions were quite different from how you had behaved previously, and … whatever it is you were doing to eliminate the Drones was taken to be a sign that you were concerned about injuries, since it allowed you to destroy them without engaging in physical combat. And with Quattro providing support, they were guaranteed to achieve surprise and the first strike. But … Tre's attacked failed to incapacitate you, and …." You nod as she trails off.

"Thank you," you say. No doubt they expected that you would give them some kind of warning before simply obliterating them, too. "The kitchen's fine, unless there's something specific that needs something weird to make it. Should we go back to Ginga, or wait for her here?" She walks forward and runs her hand along one of the counters.

"It's probably better if we wait for her." You nod and find a stool to sit on as the cyborg stands at the counter. After a couple minutes, Ginga walks in.

"Alright, no problems with you helping with the food - is everything alright?" You cock your head, looking at Ginga but keeping Cinque in your field of vision. The prisoner shakes herself and stands up straight.

"I believe so, Sergeant Nakajima." Ginga stares at her for a moment before turning her gaze on you. You simply tilt your head a little farther to the side.

"… Okay. Um - right. No problem with you cooking, and nothing that should take more than a few hours to make. Admiral Lindy will be bringing a cake, and the list of things that'll need to be made should be here by tonight in case you need me to get anything specific." You nod, smiling.

"Okay! Thank you for letting me help." She smiles awkwardly and nods, her eyes shifting over to Cinque.

The Final Boss Appears
[X] Go to sleep until tonight.

You rub your hands together, inhale deeply, then roll your shoulders back. "Well, I'm going to sleep for a bit. Shari has a surprise for tonight, so I should make sure I don't make any mistakes." Ginga raises her eyebrows.

"A surprise? What's she up to?" She doesn't know? You giggle and shake your head mischievously.

"Nope! You'll have to ask her. Hehe." You hop forward from the stool, startling the two cyborgs, and bop Cinque on the nose. "And you! Cheer up, or you'll make Nove upset." She blinks, surprised at your apparent care, then nods and smiles gently.

"Yes, I will. Thank you." She bows again, and you wave goodbye to Ginga before hurrying out of the room. Now, why did she thank you? Did she need to be reminded that Nove would suffer if she saw her upset, need to be reminded that the dead are dead but the living aren't? Or was it because you seemed to care about her and her sister's well-being? Or is she just being polite? Well, it doesn't really matter, but maybe you can corner her alone sometime and see which guess was right … or not. You hum to yourself as you make your way up to your room, and after checking in on Satsuki you slip into your coffin and fall asleep.

You wake up and stretch before hopping out of your coffin. Now, is there anything you need to do before getting ready …? You shake your head and settle for making sure your clothes are as impeccable, your hair is just perfect, all those little touches that add class. Then you laugh at yourself and make sure you're the same as you always are - you can save the sight-stunning perfection for tomorrow's party. A knock sounds at the door and you nod. "Come in, Satsuki." The door opens and your servant enters.

"H-how did you know it was me? I-I mean - um, good evening, Flandre-sama!" You giggle and wave for her to relax.

"It's how you knock, Satsuki. I don't have to know how the others knock, precisely, because I know how they won't knock, and how they won't sound when they do knock. You knocked normally, if a little hesitantly." She nods in understanding and you grin. "Alright, now there's supposed to be a surprise tonight, so we're just going to take a short walk to wait for everyone else to get ready." Satsuki looks at you nervously, but follows as you start walking out of the room.

"A surprise? What kind of surprise?" You laugh and shake your finger at her.

"A surprise surprise! What kind did you think?" You walk backwards for a few moments, eyeing her new outfit. "Do you like the maid outfits with long dresses or short ones?" She looks down at her warm brown uniform and clutches her hands together.

"Well, the shorter ones are easier to move in, but … maids should have longer skirts, right?" You giggle and turn back around.

"You'll have to talk to Deis about that, I think. Anyway, come on!" You start to hop and skip, making Satsuki hurry to keep up, and when you get to the stairs you simply leap to the second landing and turn around to look at her. She hesitates and starts to walk down the stairs, but after you cross your arms and give her a stern look she backs up, takes a deep breath, and launches herself after you. Fortunately, the dress is heavy enough that it doesn't fly up in front of her, but she considers the possibility only after she's already in the air, and putting her hands down to make sure it can't disrupts her coordination enough that she botches the landing and would have fallen the rest of the way down the stairs if you hadn't caught her. She looks at you apologetically.

"I-I'm sorry, Flandre-sama!" You titter quietly and busy yourself making sure her clothes haven't been disheveled.

"Remember to take what you're wearing into account. It's one good reason for wearing similar outfits all the time, at least until you're comfortable enough with how you move that clothes aren't an impediment." She nods and you turn away to walk down the stairs normally. Of course, she should have passed that point a long time ago, but since that Ciel person apparently tried suppressing her vampire nature, she may have kept herself controlled to the point that she never really got used to moving 'normally.'

"Flandre!" You wave to Shari and wait for her to walk up to you. "Perfect timing! We're about to have dinner. Come on." Her smile fades to a frown as you wait just a moment too long before responding, then shake your head.

"Sorry, but I think we should skip this one. We'll be fine, but I do want to avoid stepping on Nove too many times before I know the exact situation we'll be in. Unless there's something you want me to know about before you get things ready for that?" You quickly pass the initiative back to her as her expression falls further - if she really wants you to come eat, you can do it, but you'd like to avoid any possible unpleasantness that could disrupt the 'final boss.' But Shari shakes her head.

"No, it's … is it really that bad between you and her?" You shrug.

"She doesn't like me and doesn't make a secret of it, but then, our only encounters before I came here were fights, and with what else I've done, I'd be suspicious if she didn't dislike me." Like, say, Cinque and Wendi, although Wendi at least has the excuse that you haven't really interacted with her. Cinque, though … even if she's a very polite person naturally, she doesn't seem to hold your actions against you, and that's very peculiar coming from human. Worrying, even. "They can come watch if they want, but I think it's better if I don't butt into one of their mealtimes unnecessarily." Shari frowns, but after another moment she nods in acceptance.

"Alright," she says. Then she shakes herself and smiles. "Then we'll see you in a bit." You nod as she waves and turns to walk away. Once she's gone, you shrug at Satsuki and gesture for her to follow you outside. You take a deep breath, inhaling the ocean air - not really something you're fond of, considering the implications. And you'll have to find a map and see if there are any major rivers with military installations on them, because it's entirely possible that you were put here so they could try throwing you in the ocean if they thought you were going to get out of hand. Not that that would save them, of course, but if you're right, it's the thought that counts.

"… Do you miss the sun? Sunrise and sunset, and the sun on your face?" Satsuki frowns unhappily and looks down, nodding glumly. You pat her arm. "Then we'll establish that as a long-term goal for you. To get you strong enough and experienced enough that you can watch the sun if you want to." She looks at you, surprise plain on her face - and then she whirls away from you. Her hands go up to her face, and you leave her alone for a moment, walking a few steps forward so she has a bit of implied privacy while staying near enough that you can help if she needs it.

"Thank you, Flandre-sama," she says quietly, and you smile back at her.

"Of course, Satsuki. Now, let's take a walk, shall we?" She nods and walks just behind and to your side as you wander around, your meandering course eventually taking you to the Combat Simulator. You hop up onto the railing overlooking the stage, and Satsuki leans against it, more at ease than she usually is around you, and the two of you simply sit and wait for the humans to finish their meal so you can get on with the night. Soon enough, Shari comes up behind you.

"Are you ready?" You nod and lean forward. Shari chuckles. "Alright, then - here's your opponent. Hayate's Final Boss." The Simulator blinks awake and the stage reconfigures itself to a ruined cityscape. A screen appears in front of you and your eyes widen, then narrow, and Satsuki meeps in surprise and flinches back. Her outfit is quite different - wide-brimmed hat, detached sleeves, dark gloves, with a short white dress under a dark jacket - but she's very definitely your sister. And to complete the mistakes, she's holding a copy of Laevateinn, and she's holding it more like a staff than the sword/club grip you use. "… Um. She got the design to me a couple days ago, but … I'm guessing it's not an original design?" You sigh and chuckle to yourself. Well, you should at least see if it qualifies! And if it's not up to the standards of an imitation of your sister ….

What do you do?

No, this is fair. She was the final boss the first time, too; Flandre was the Bonus boss.

[X] If the opponent is... not to standards, attempt to remain calm.

I'm not entirely convinced that Flandre would remain calm if it turns out to be an underwhelming simulation.
