[X] Try to let it go and let the teacher handle it.

You try to bury your swiftly-growing rage, and for the briefest of instants - a period of time so short it might as well be unmeasurable - you are very faintly grateful to Patchouli and her distrust of you, because if you can't hold yourself back, her geas should kick in. Not that you'd ever say anything about it to her, because of course you can control yourself! And it turns out to be irrelevant anyway, because even as the teacher takes a step forward, two of the blonde's classmates - a tall girl with glasses and a girl with short pink hair - intervene, the taller one restraining her as the other claps her hands over the blonde's mouth. Well, at least some of these children have manners …. The incident is resolved by an unexpected source; even as you squeeze the handles of the wheelchair and grind your teeth together, Miyu, of all people, rises from her seat and takes the few short steps needed to reach the struggling girls, puts on a moderate glare, and whispers something to the blonde. She immediately stops trying to escape and stiffens fearfully, and when the other two girls release step away her lips tremble fitfully. Miyu forces her back into her seat and, after a brief glance at you, sits back down. Taiga pauses at the first row of desks, shoulders quivering, and takes a step back before looking at you and Ilya. Before she can say anything, however, Ilya clears her throat.

"Good morning, everyone," she says, as if nothing untoward had happened. "My name, as you may have guessed, is Illyasviel von Einzbern." Illya's face goes red and she tries to bury her head in her desk as students look between her and Ilya. "I will only be here for a short while, and Miss Fujimura was kind enough to let me observe the way schools are run here. I will try to keep out of the way, so please go on and have a normal day." She bows her head and there are a few bursts of scattered applause before you guide the wheelchair through an aisle to the back of the classroom. Taiga smiles at Ilya when you turn her around and makes a short bow before beginning the class anew.

It's really rather boring, watching her lead the class through basic work - simple arithmetic and, for some reason, English lessons. You have to force yourself to not grumble and look bored, but Ilya manages to keep up a pleasant expression and pays attention through it all, seeming to enjoy herself more once most of the students forget about her and focus on their academics. Then Taiga moves the class to a more specialized room for music lessons - you shudder as you imagine what they're going to do to the poor instruments - and, to no one's surprise, Illya is picked to make sure you get from the elevator to the music room without incident. She stands near the chair nervously.

"Umm … I'm sorry about Tatsuko, earlier. She's just … really excitable." Ilya nods politely.

"It's fine. How could she know that you have an older cousin in Germany that almost perfectly resembles you, never mind sharing the same name?" Illya laughs nervously and rubs the back of her head as the elevator doors slide open.

"Um, why are you here, anyway?" Ilya gives her Dopplegänger a look.

"I really am just curious about how things work. I've never been to a school before."

"Really? But …."

"My family handled my education, making sure I learned everything they thought I would need to know." You lean forward and rub your cheek against Ilya's neck at her depressed tone. "Oh, Flan …." Your moment ends abruptly as something chuckles maliciously, and you look up to see a small Device - a circle with a star inside, and three featherlike projections on each side forming wings - floating by Illya.

"I see. So it's going to be one of those! Ah, young lo-"

"Ruby!" Illya grabs the Device and shakes it rapidly before looking up at you, face redder than your shirt. "Um, um, I … um …." Ilya eyes the Device and you scowl at it.

"You and Miyu should be that close, Illya! That's how magical girls should be!" Illya is saved from death by embarrassment when the elevator chimes and the doors slide open again. Still red-faced, she follows you, head hanging, as you make your way to the music room. You actually catch up with the class before they reach it, and Illya's friends cluster around you. The blonde starts to walk up to you but shies away after a glare from you. Even if she's going to try and apologize, you don't want her around.

"Illya? Are you feeling well?" Miyu frowns at you as yet another girl - a fairly unremarkable one, lacking even the taller girl's glasses to distinguish her from her classmates - peers at Illya's face.

"A-ah, no - I mean, yes! Yes, I'm fine." You sigh and shake your head as Ilya laughs childishly at her double's troubles.

"Alright, everyone! You know how this works!" Taiga lets the natural chaos sort itself out and you and Ilya watch as the students migrate to different instruments - flutes or recorders, little hand-drums with small sticks, Glockenspiels, two pianos … fortunately, no one tries out the violins. And then you wince as the worst happens and everyone starts playing. Even though you're against the wall, away from any of the groups, even though you can tell that each group is working fairly well together, the raw noise from such a collection is awful. Taiga walks over to you and bows apologetically.

"I'm sorry about earlier, I really am! Tatsuko is … she's really energetic, and -"

"It's alright, Miss Fujimura. They are children, aren't they? They'll learn." Taiga almost collapses in relief at Ilya's understanding. You take a few steps forward, trying to tune out all the excess noise and listen to the pianos. Not an easy task, but … is one of them out of tune? Or is it just the combined noise and the fact that it's being played by a worse-than-novice? Miyu is on the other and seems to be actually fairly good. "Flan? Want to try?" Taiga looks inquisitively at you as Ilya grins.

What do you do?

[ ] Stay with Ilya and keep listening.

[ ] Take over one of the pianos.

[ ] Other?

[X] Take over one of the pianos.

Ilya seems anticipatory and playing means we won't have to subject ourselves with listening to more amateur practice.

[X] Take over one of the pianos.

Having a little fun is good, especially when Ilya seems to want us to.

[X] Take over one of the violins.
Time to blow them away. Miyu would possibly be the only compeitior, unless she wasne't the genius she was in episode 3/4.

EDIT: No one took em, so let's do em.

Just realize how the name is spell, Illya is Prisma and Ilya is ours.

Kinda curious on how Illya blood will taste like?

[X] Take over one of the pianos.

You eye Ilya slyly before turning to Taiga. "May I?" She seems a little concerned about something but shrugs anyway.

"Sure." You flash a smile at her and nod at the still-grinning Ilya before walking toward the pianos. "… She's actually super-talented at one of these instruments, isn't she?" Does this sort of thing happen a lot? You don't look back, but you can imagine Ilya's grin widening when you hear Taiga groan. The walk toward the pianos has a beautiful effect on the students - most of them stop playing around and pay attention to you as you walk past them. As a result, when you reach the pianos, the room is nearly silent; only Miyu stubbornly keeps playing. An expressionless glance at you doesn't disrupt her playing.

You study the two pianos. The one Miyu is using is in more obviously better condition - its finish is still glossy and the keys are clean, and from what you can hear it's definitely in tune. The other piano is older and more worn, with scratches, dents, and gouges in the wood, and dirty keys … but it looks like someone's been keeping good care of it, sanding out most of the damage and trying to keep it presentable. You look at the girl sitting on the bench and cock your head. "Do you mind if I play something?" She looks past you before shrugging and sliding away.

"Sure, go ahead." You bow politely and sit down. The cushioning is completely worn out, but that's not important to you as you make sure you can reach everything. Nodding to yourself, you run the piano through a warm-up, scales and other simple passes, although fast enough to draw everyone's attention and force Miyu to stop playing. You nod to yourself as you wind your test down. Whoever has been caring for this piano has certainly been taking excellent care of it. Now, what to play …? You tap a single key rhythmically as your mind races through your options. Maybe a song? Die Lorelei is a strong contender in that case, but for this group … no. A wicked grin spreads across your face as Headless nudges you toward a different choice. The music starts up, quick but not yet wild and violent, and then you begin to sing. The Narrator of Erlkönig is fairly bland, but you do the child pretty well, especially as he becomes more and more frightened, and you make the Erlkönig itself truly intimidating. Such a shame that the song is only a few minutes long … scattered, almost confused applause draws you out of your reflective state and you grin as you look over the students. You stand up and curtsy, then walk back to Ilya and Taiga. The teacher is standing there with her face buried in her hands, but Ilya smiles happily. The music starts up again, slowly; Miyu is one of the first to start playing, but it seems that everyone is trying to play well now, instead of simply making noise.

"Did you like it?" Ilya nods in response to your question and you smile happily before giving her hug. She giggles.

"Oh, Flan." You hop back and stick out your tongue at her, making her laugh even harder. Taiga seems to recover as well and looks at the two of you with a sad smile.

"I'll be back, I just need to check how well they're doing." You clap your hands quietly and look up at her.

"Actually, before you go - do you know who maintains the piano I played?" She frowns, but after a few seconds of thought shakes her head.

"I can find out, if it's important …." You smile and shrug.

"It's not terribly important, but if you do find that person, thank and congratulate him. It is a wonderfully-maintained instrument, unbowed by age or damage, and a great joy to play." You bow politely as you finish speaking. And for a human-made instrument, maintained by a human in a setting like this, it is a wonder. Taiga blinks in surprise before hastily nodding.

"Uh, I'll find out and tell him you said that. Thank you for your kind words." She bows in response before beginning her circuit of the room, talking to the groups of children and, in some cases, helping them with the instrument they're working with. You slip behind Ilya's chair and lean forward, draping yourself against her and crossing your arms in front of her. She leans her head back and rubs it against yours.

"Was it really amazing?" You titter quietly, but at the same time squeeze lightly so she knows you're only a little serious.

"It's not as good as the piano that was in your castle, but for a place like this? It is an amazing instrument, and whoever has been caring for it does deserve praise." Ilya nods and rests her head against yours as you watch Taiga circulate through the room.

Taiga collapses at her desk after announcing lunch-time, and the students all start relaxing and talking to each other. You notice no few glances thrown your way, but so far the normal students seem to be keeping their distance. Most seem to be settling down to eat in here, but that seems a little strange to you. Maybe you should find somewhere else to eat? Before you ask Ilya, however, you notice the other one walking toward you; her friends are all clustered near her desk - Miyu, Tatsuko, glasses-girl, pink hair, and the normal one. She stops and smiles awkwardly.

"Um, if it's okay … um, do you want to eat with us?" She blushes and lowers her voice. "Um, we'll try to keep Tatsuko from being too outrageous …." You blink before looking at Ilya. It's her decision … but it seems she's trying to leave it up to you.

What do you do?

[ ] Eat with Illya's group.

[ ] Decline, but stay in the classroom to eat.

[ ] Decline and go somewhere else to eat.

DM Note: Yes, Ilya has a lunch. And if you haven't heard Erlkönig:

I'm rather fond of this version. Flan just makes the Erlkönig legitimately terrifying and creepy.

[X] Eat with Illya's group.

Let's converse with the locals. Every bit of PR we get is a boost, but so do our chances of being revealed.

Oh, man. Der Erlkonig is a brilliant piece. Certainly not awe inspiring unless you know what's up, but definitely a good way to flaunt alittle.

[X] Eat with Illya's group.

The idle conversation is going to be hilarious, I wager.

[X] Eat with Illya's group.

You shrug and nod before nodding politely at Illya. "Thank you for the invitation." She smiles and takes a step back, waiting for you to start pushing Ilya before turning around and walking the rest of the way to her friends.

"Um, these are my friends. Nanaki, Mimi, Suzuka, Tatsuko, and Miyu." You nod at the pink-haired girl, the normal girl, and the glasses girl as Illya introduces them, give a blank stare at the noisy one, and briefly match gazes with Miyu.

"And this is Flandre." You curtsy, about to say something polite -

"Are you a vampire?" Tatsuko leans forward, looking at Ilya, her friends just a hair slow responding to her. "I mean, you're even paler than Illya, and you've got a blanket -gweh!" Suzuka yanks the shorter girl back by her collar and stuffs a bread roll in her mouth before leaning in to whisper harshly in her ear. Something about buckets of water in the hallway …. Illya blushes deep red and Mimi winces as well, but Nanaki and Miyu seem relatively unaffected by the outburst. You take a calming breath before leaning down to take a tray out from the back of the wheelchair.

"Of course I'm not a vampire. And that's just what a vampire would say, too. Don't you think so, Flan?" You set the tray in front of Ilya, braced on the arms of the chair, and shrug.

"Depends on the vampire, and what kind it is. There are high-class vampires and low-class ones, vampires that could pass for human and vampires that aren't even humanoid, vampires that care about concealing their nature and vampires that delight in letting everyone know what they are. So it depends on your assumptions, just like with most things." You duck back down and come up with a box that you set on the tray, then go back for a small bottle and a glass that you pour Ilya's drink into. That draws everyone's attention for a moment. Suzuka leans back and looks at the back of the chair before sitting up and staring at you.

"How did you …? Where did you get that?" You take the lid off the box, revealing the lunch that Sella made for Ilya - still fresh thanks to Patchouli's magic - and shrug. Illya goes pale as Ilya sighs and shakes her head.

"Magic?" Illya thumps her head on the desk; so much fun!

"Magic isn't real, though." You glance at Mimi and shrug again.

"Technology? I can't explain it, so you're going to have to accept one of those answers. Magic, or technology that might as well be it." The girls who don't know about magic just stare at you unhappily, Illya looks like she wants to vanish from the world, and Miyu is giving you a look. Ilya sighs and shakes her head … and after a moment, the other girls shake their heads as if waking up, and Miyu shifts her stare to Ilya. You lean forward to look more closely at her, but she seems fine, so whatever she did - if she did it, anyway - doesn't seem to have hurt her any.

"Flan, please don't." You hold her drink up as the girls start eating their own meals and she drinks some of the wine. You grumble good-naturedly as you shift your position to more easily reach Ilya's food. Illya stares at you, mouth open in shock, as you begin feeding Ilya.

"See, Miyu-chan? Be more like that! More dere, less tsun!" You glance at the once-again boisterous Tatsuko, but it doesn't seem to be something terribly out of line, as only Illya seems to be really bothered by it - even Miyu simply ignores her. Ilya, however, cocks her head to the side.

"What are 'tsun' and 'dere'?" That causes a bit of a stir, and Illya sighs again. You wonder if she's regretting your decision to accompany her yet.

"They're … well, you've seen anime, right?" Ilya shakes her head and Suzuka stares at her, almost horrified. "What?! How? Illya!" Ilya shakes her head, a small smile on her face.

"The main family … doesn't really trust modern technology. Insular, too. I didn't have television, only books, and those were textbooks. No one to talk to. I didn't meet Flan until later …." She trails off and the girls look at each other nervously, subdued by the sudden melancholic shift. Even Miyu seems to get depressed, which is quite a feat considering she shows even less emotion than Patchouli …. You scowl at Tatsuko - once again, the bringer of bad things - and lean forward to hug Ilya, rubbing your cheek against hers. "Ah! Flan!" She giggles and you let her go before picking up the fork again.

"Say 'aah,'" you say, and when she obligingly opens her mouth you slip the next bit of food in. Then you turn around to look at the rest of the class as they stare at you, but a mild glare - mild for you, anyway - sends them back to their own business.

"Yeah, I don't think she's a tsundere, Tatsuko …." You flick your gaze to Suzuka, but her head is already down and she seems absorbed in her food. The blonde meets your gaze for a moment before shoving an almost-whole bread roll in her own mouth.

"So what classes do you have after lunch?" Suzuka looks up at that and shrugs.

"Today we have Japanese language and PE. I think we're doing -"

"Hwivving!" Tatsuko jumps to her feet and tries to shout through the bread she hasn't finished swallowing yet. Her friend slaps her on the back and she starts coughing … but doesn't start choking, which everyone else probably sees as a plus.

"Um, so do you get out much? Tatsuko was right, earlier - you're even paler than Illya." Ilya shakes her head.

"No, I'm not really an active person." Ilya looks like she wants to continue, but after a moment she just smiles and shakes her head. You see Illya frowning, not at your friend, but at you, and you cock your head to the side curiously. She turns away embarrassedly and you grin.

"Is something the matter?" She looks at you nervously, glances at Ilya's food, then looks down. You smother a giggle, and before either Ilya or Miyu can intervene you slide forward and pat Illya on the head. "You're very sweet, but you don't need to worry about me. I have an off-center metabolism, so my eating schedule seems strange to other people." She reddens slightly and you giggle again before turning back to Ilya and taking up the fork again.

Lunch finishes awkwardly and, as promised, is followed by continuing education in the Japanese writing system. Knowledge that you already have thanks to Remilia and Patchouli's magic, but Ilya seems quite interested in it, and you notice her murmuring along with Taiga. Is she bored, or did she receive an imperfect education in the language? Either way, she seems to enjoy the class, so you don't have any problems with it.

After that, the class follows Taiga outside. Illya is chosen to once again lead you through the school, although given that the destination is the pool in the back, a guide is hardly necessary. You shake your head at the girls' swimsuits. The boys' short trunks are fine, but the girls have their names written on a white patch on their chests, which contrasts with the otherwise dark blue suits and makes it seem like the students frequently get lost. Unlike the indoor activities, however, most of the students seem generally competent, with a few possessing obviously superior skills, most notably Miyu and - to your surprise - the boisterous Tatsuko. Ilya seems content to simply watch from beneath your large parasol … although she does fall asleep halfway through the class. She wakes up before anyone else notices, however, and you raise a finger to your lips so she knows you won't tell anyone. She blushes cutely anyway.

"So what do you want to do now?" Ilya sighs as you push the chair through the hallway to the elevator. "Go right back to the hotel, stay here for a bit, or just take a stroll through town?"

"Won't Patchouli make us come right back?" You shake your head and smile.

"Not unless it's important that we do so, or if we're somehow in danger if we stay somewhere." She mumbles to herself until you get to the elevator.

"I … kind of want to go back to the hotel. If I just wait, they'll come, and I won't be distracted by other things. But I never really got much time to explore Fuyuki, either, so …." She looks up at you hopefully and you chuckle before hugging her.
