Firebird, a Worm AU/Xover?

I hope this story explores the independent heroes and villains that Wildblow claims exist in the Bay. It's already started a bit with Taylor's two friends, and that one villain they faced whose name I can't remember, but there is supposed to be a huge number of other parahumans in the Bay that were just never covered in Canon, but I rarely see them get any screen time.

probably because most of them would be OCs

When the hell did this happen?

At least the bird is cooking itself. Should be tasty.

I am going to endeavor to do so. It will mean some ocs, undoubtedly, but there should be more developing on that in the next arc.

so, when should we expect Acceleration to Break 999,999 words?

Probably wont happen because Chibi would want to rewrite the first story before starting a sequel and that would probably not happen. At least, I think that is what chibi said when the last time the possibility of an acceleration sequel was brought up.

Though I don't expect it to consume that much... Firebird has a better chance of topping that many words more than Acceleration.

Speaking of Acceleration, the Purity subplot kinda got sidelined in it. I always wondered about that but never asked. Though it was understandable given that Taylor was attacked by 9 enthusiastic walkers.

If my memory serves, Taylor was going to get caught up in a schism between the Empire as Kaiser would not have taken Purity running with their daughter well... but then the Nine derailed plans for that. Purity would have come back to Taylor for help again after Kaiser managed to take Aster back and even Purity couldn't take them all especially since she had no idea where he'd taken Aster.. Taylor gave no fucks, but she doesn't look the other way where abductions are concerned.

So basically, Kaiser would have received the Coil treatment from Taylor. But then the 9 happened.

@Franklymydear

Ash is grey. Well, it can be black, but it's typically grey.

Strangely enough, it makes me think of Jack Slash being smug at some point and Taylor just setting his head on fire for chuckles.

I would have to think long and hard about how to deal with Jack. Because the instant he shows up, there's two things he can do to Taylor. Scream. And die. The things from Acceleration that worked... won't work here.

Really, I currently have no Jack/Nine plans.

Good. Not every story needs to have them, and honestly, if Taylor puts in a good showing against Levi when he shows up, Jack will likely do his best to stay away. The whole reason he has lived as long as he has is that he knows how to pick his battles, and hide behind Siberian when things get tough. He's not going to seek out someone who has a good chance of killing him unless he has a "foolproof" plan to deal with them.

---

Jack - I killed your father! Muwahahahahaha! *Twirls Mustache*
Taylor - *Snaps her fingers* You killed who now?
Danny - Whaza.... huh? I'm alive?

*Meanwhile a distant galaxy implodes from the power use*

Jack - ... Well your just no fun at all. Slaughterhouse, Transform and roll out!

*Inception Bwaong!*

Jack - Huh?
Taylor - I dont think so. *Smugness intensifies to maximum!*

Pretty much this. They're ultimately irrelevant in every possible way to the narrative and by the time they would be likely to show up... yeah... no.

I can't tell if you're serious or not. I'm really hoping that isn't the actual way the fic will end, because then I would be sad.

Don't set Catherine and Minako on fire, Taylor!

Everything must burn! Everyone must burn! Fire is life!

Oh, yeah, the Phoenix can resurrect itself. Other people too.

Though, I suppose the role of Mastermind could be played by Jack Slash...

Pretty much.

Jack Slash goes where he figures he'll get the most interesting result. If he thinks that he can get a rise of some sort out of Phoenix!Taylor, then chances are that he'll do it.
