Firebird, a Worm AU/Xover?

...yeah, they're really not being subtle about knowing each other outside of this.

That's actually canon, if you consider Wildbow's PRT Quest canon.

He was Protectorate, too, actually. Not that I expect that to mean much to this fic :p

Well, it's subtle non-subtle. They are acting friendly to the point that they seem to know each other closely. Yet they haven't come out and said it yet either by actually saying it or by acting it. They are sorta walking the line, and even Taylor notices it. So we will have to see.

And thank you. Knowing that he actually did have a sense of humor makes it all the better for me.

Some of her powers could be naturally hers, just sleeping potential awoken by the presence of the Phoenix Force. For all we know, the human race as a whole was on the verge of psionic power, which could have made them attractive to the entities as hosts in the first place. They don't need the X-Gene, it's just that the majority of psionics we see in Marvel tend to be mutants, but maybe the Celestials decided to go with a different experiment here.

That's saying the Celestials even bother with this reality.

Have to agree with Auberan here. Taylor could have, without being a Mutant, had the potential to be a telepath or psionic naturally. Even if the actual appearance of such natural talents would be a few dozen generations away and wouldn't appear until Taylor's great, great, great, great-grandchildren.

The potential could still be there even if it was incredibly small.

No selling thinker powers 24-7-365, OG.
That's...impressive. Presumably it doesn't including little bits like Stormtiger's enhanced smell or Lungs enhanced hearing, but still, no-selling all of the exotic Thinkers is a pretty cool "secondary" power.
Trying for a bit of realism. Not everyone is hyper-competent immediately, so not going to consider every possibility right off the bat. This and something to come will make her a bit more vigilant, though.
No, I get it. Easy mistake for someone to make, especially a teenager, even more so when looking further causes her headaches.
As to Chubster, nah, I don't follow PRT Quest, so whatever happens there is meaningless for the purposes of this story.
Nah, I understand. It's why I didn't quote the bit in the chapter talking about Chubster, only mentioning it when Noxturne brought it up. I just thought I'd say it, while I was already on the subject.

No problem haha

I just wish we knew his power, since this reasoning means the fanon "converts food to fat to Blaster" doesn't really work. We do know what his daughter can do, but though I can (e.g.) see how Golem got his powers from Kaiser, I wouldn't have been able to reliably trace it back the other way.

To be fair, in this story, that school seem to be the hiveground for gang since they all wear theur color openly. There no way in that kind of setup only Taylor end up with power.

Fanon made that school seem worse that it was. Sure it was shitty, but if it was so openly full of gang of gang member, there no way Sophia would even be alive. Because seriously, a black girl with an attitude problem, who is a good member of a club and who has a fun every day by bullying a white girl? Seriously, nobody tried to shank her ?

Sophia probably shanked them back.

I don't think Sophia saw a problem with that.
The main problem would be running out of Nazis, her main enemy. Merchants would be too busy peddling drugs and ABB youngsters are more likely to not care about her.

Though, Emma may have convinced Sophia to actually give the ABB some consideration of the pointy, stabby and painful kind.

Hm, I can see her with a harem of things that hurt. Knives, crossbows, maces and so forth.

Now you're just going into Miss Militia's harem.

Edit: No wait, she's a single pairing only. It can be whatever she wants it to be after all.

It's why they've been together for so long. Variety spices up a good relationship ;)

Let's not go down that path at this period......for that path lies the dark horrors that shall not be spoken of
