Taylor trusted lots of people in Acceleration. She had a pretty good relationship with the Protectorate/PRT but she wanted to just be left alone. She didn't want to be a hero. This Taylor does and has had trust issues galore. She's probably closer to canon Taylor's mindset in some ways. If she were steamrolling everyone and her problems, I'd grant you that, but Taylor didn't have trust issues in Acceleration.

Also. Taylor. Not Jean. She has Jean's memories and a lot of the closest to the surface ones are turbulent and unhappy and they influence her actions at times, but she's still not Jean at the core. Going to react differently. Jean had, once Xavier found her, support from an earlier age than Taylor and wasn't subjected to a personal campaign in her teenage years that was designed to grind her into the dirt.

I mean, if I just dropped Jean with PF here... she's quickly decide this world SUCKS, even compared to hers.
And when you think a world sucks compared to Marvel Universe... it has problems.

This is true but in order to do she has to draw on the "life" of the universe so basically if the PF wants to murder Galactus she pretty much needs to tap into and drain the life expectancy of the universe this is one of the plot points that was used to "limit" what the phoenix could do, well that or to make Galactus's power so great that you pretty much need to destroy the universe to kill him, if you don't have the infinity gems.

That was, as far as I'm aware, only added in Excalibur when Rachel Summers had the Phoenix Force. Also, I think Galactus might not be a reliable source of information here, since she was about to kill him.
