I think this is the first time someone has actually used this in story (asside from Firefly maybe) though for Lung I would say hes intentionally aware of how it sounds and os just cheesing taylor."This town has a man who can turn into a dragon, your argument is invalid," he remarked and now I was sure it was amusement that I was feeling.
"That's… wow, I don't have a response to that," I said. "Point made. I don't have any bad intentions. I'm here because it's a place to stay and nobody tries to pry into my business."
He eyed me for a long time and I wondered why I was being so honest with him. I had seen him from a distance that day when I was getting my nose checked, but I hadn't learned any details about who he was.
"Very well," he straightened. "You may remain here, if you wish. You are now Asian."

The only supervision Taylor had in the weeks between running away and Coil was Vicky. No wonder it turned out badly. In this chapter everyone is Clark Kent. "Don't be ridiculous. See, Clark Kent wears glasses; Superman doesn't need glasses, he has supervision!"
Note that Taylor's starting to learn how to telekinetically manipulate molecules. The standard "Costume up!" power to most, but being able to transmute charcoal into diamonds would certainly solve her money issues. Of course, then you realize she can disassemble people...

Other than that, not a bad chapter, if a bit dry. The whole Wards showing up out of the blue, and Taylor not recognizing anyone save Madison/Browbeat's 'wavelength' also feels....perhaps a bit circumspect, especially with the whole 'we all just happen to be together, and in a giant fan club'. There's Taylor not reading their identities, which is good self-restraint, but it feels a mite bit too 'wink wink', imo.
constantly on. Apparently, her aura was almost constantly to some degree or another.
A few details:
Seiya means Sincere One. Also, is a guy that's really a girl in some other franchise.
None of you are Asian. But... Taylor is!
It's Worm, of course it's gonna ramp up... but it's also The Phoenix, that means it'll ramp up so much faster and to a higher level of kick-ass.This one was going to be pretty slow-paced, no way around it, especially. As it lays out groundwork for the later arc. Things will ramp up though.

Liked the Professor X reference, even if it seems a bit wary, given the Phoenix's distrust of him.
Given she's thought about it a couple times since waking up in the hospital, yes.
The Wards reactions to Sirin seem...unusually hostile. Heck, it's about as bad as Shadow Stalker and they barely know her. It didn't seem as if her encounters with them were that bad. I'll re-read that part again where she interacts with them but for the moment, I'm going to list this as 'because the author said so' and count is as A Strike. I'll edit this post with an apology if it turns out I'm wrong.
Plus they are used to a level of awe and/or deference from other good guys. I bet than even older heroes at least try to be polite and do the occasional small talk (even Armsmaster is more or less social here). Despite their apparent maturity (even from CB) they are teens and therefore a little less understanding of the rude attitude of others, especially when combined with the failures of their parent organization and the apparent brutality of Syrin. It's not that the meetings have gone bad or been hostile, Taylor just kept them at arms length and barely interacted beyond what was needed to give them a situation report and then leaving.
It most likely seemed like it was hostility towards them, but only Armsmaster and Miss Militia get that treatment... well hostility or flat out ignored if someone else is there that she can be distant to.
Ironically enough GG is doing a good job keeping her focused and keeping her mental health from worsening, she's even trying to get Amy to look at her (which is kinda urgent since there could be long term effects from the drugs). Is just hard to balance the distrust o Taylor towards authority, the distrust of Amy towards Taylor, and the overall mess being a telepath cause on people.Yeah, I get that.
Piggot really dropped the ball on this one. She should have told them that she had come and spoken with them and was looking at allied hero rather than Ward, but her father signed her up behind her back, the paperwork was annoyingly fast-tracked and the psych-profiles and visit from family services was completely by-passed by an outside source and then she ran away before it could go any further leaving her father a drunken mess and Sirin on the streets with only Glory Girl as a contact to any hero orginisation.
