Wonder how long it'll be before the Wards and Protectorate manage to get her to come in. Out of curiosity, was there anything in the full membership paperwork about quitting?
And since Danny is convinced that the Wards are the only place that Taylor will be safe, she'll probably be allowed to quit around the heat-death of the universe.Full non-probation members can quit any time provided they have Guardian Authorization.
Nope, when she hits 18 she can leave whether Danny approves or not.And since Danny is convinced that the Wards are the only place that Taylor will be safe, she'll probably be allowed to quit around the heat-death of the universe.
IIRC WoG is that leaving the Wards or Protectorate is a difficult process. You know too much to be totally trusted to leave. So there is likely a lot of follow up to make sure a Ward isn't selling out other members for a quick buck.Full non-probation members can quit any time provided they have Guardian Authorization.
That's true for pretty much any corporate position, so no surprise there.IIRC WoG is that leaving the Wards or Protectorate is a difficult process. You know too much to be totally trusted to leave. So there is likely a lot of follow up to make sure a Ward isn't selling out other members for a quick buck.
Or she could leave immediately after "convincing" him otherwise. Just like what she did to Gladly! And since Danny is convinced that the Wards are the only place that Taylor will be safe, she'll probably be allowed to quit around the heat-death of the universe.
But, hey, look at the bright side: the Phoenix force can probably accelerate the process!
Could be wrong, but she doesn't know about that yet. Then again... she could stay after "convincing" everyone in the organization to get themselves wrapped around her little finger.Or she could leave immediately after "convincing" him otherwise. Just like what she did to Gladly!
I'm not sure where I said I wanted her to do that, I said it was an option available to her (even though I don't think she knows it yet, I put it out as something that 'could bu wont' happen).
Personally, I'm really hoping she doesn't join up, or even stop hating them or her father for it.
I said pretty much the opposite of her becoming another Heartbreaker.
Was talking about @SwiftRosenthalI'm not sure where I said I wanted her to do that, I said it was an option available to her (even though I don't think she knows it yet, I put it out as something that 'could bu wont' happen).
More specifically:

Well, my post is about 6 hours later than the other one so...

Anyway, I don't think that was being suggested by SwiftRosenthal either. What was suggested was a one off thing, changing the way her father looks at a single facet of their life, rather than Heartbreakers 'You are now fanatically devoted to me' actions. Taylor could possibly do that, but it's not something she would do, especially not to her father, no matter what she might think of him.
You know... if she realizes she can do this and if she can come up with decent reasons, she might be able to have herself kicked out of the Wards like this as well. 'Convince' Piggot that she's not Wards material, that she'd be too much trouble, that she's impulsive and reckless with an ego the size of the Protectorate base, and then she wouldn't even have to do anything to her father. Hell, she could turn to him and say "See? I told you it wouldn't work out."
She'd have to be extremely careful to do it in such a way that it didn't trip Master/Stranger warnings, or get her arrested (or both, since M/S actions against Piggot would very quickly lead to problems if it got found out) though. Probably not something she could manage at this point.
See, that's why I think she'd fail at it. That would be the best way to do it because it slowly changes people (sort of like what Cherish was trying to do), but it'd take time, and at this point Taylor's not really that big on the 'be patient' side of things. I think she's more likely (if she was aware she could do this) to just rush into it and hope no one notices. She really wouldn't even need the Mind control part...just a few nudges here and there on the emotional spectrum.
Maybe. I think Chibipoe's more than capable of not relying on that though. I don't think Taylor's current problems are going to stick around for long, because as she gets stronger her current issues will be easily ignored/overcome and I think she'll have to start dealing with the identity/PF problems more.Of course it's going to Happen.
