Firebird, a Worm AU/Xover?

Just realized how fucked Danny's headspace is.
Danny: My daughter is out fighting crime with an invincible member of a reputable team that also has the highest priority access to the best Healer Cape known. Her life is in so much danger, she should be patrolling with Kid Win or Vista and if she gets hurt they might be able to call in Panacea to help.

Well, you see, that's a complicated question... If [deleted] happens, then maybe [deleted] could be done... but then there is [deleted] to consider.... so I guess the answer is.... [error]

We're sorry, the management has redacted this message to avoid the disclosure of information in advance. Please move along, citizen.
This post hasn't been edited! There's something fishy here...

In all seriousness, is the answer to that question really a spoiler? I would think that whether or not Danny has the capability cancel her membership (or abort her registration, as the case may be) would be in the realm of world building rather than plot points.
I can't even begin to tell you about what some of these kids do once they turn 18 as they give us the middle finger and walk out.
I'm now trying to picture Clockblocker on his last day as a Ward...

I don't know how in canon, but here, at least, separation requires the Ward to reach a certain age or the agreement of all parties. He signed over(effectively) legal obligation to see to her safety. They're going to try and honor that.

Except Taylor essentially is fighting in the war anyway only without the army. So it's not like he's forcing her out on the streets to fight crime, she's doing it already.

One thing to consider, the Wards are likely ordered where to go and who to engage while an independents chooses their battles. So while the Wards are told to stop Hookwolf the independents can go after the like of Boneyard.

Of course, I would be very surpised if Danny is aware of the fact that the Wards have faced Hookwolf. I don't believe that is something that Armsmaster or a PRT bureaucrat would mention and there has been no indication that Danny did any research on the Wards.

She's been going out alone and at night. She doesn't consistently and only hang out with Vicky and she also never brought that up in her argument even when she really really should have.

True, the BB wards have a truly fucked up situation.
Instead of just being training like all the others they pretty much get the First Gen treatment.

He just read about how she went out fighting crime with Glory Girl.

Danny... you idiot.

It is going to be spectacular when they try and force her to do something against her will. Just epic levels of batshitery.

Assault - Hey boss... about about we dont go trying to tell the girl with unknown magnitude of telekinesis what to do, especially when she is pissed off and apparently totally ok with being on FIRE!

. I recall in canon that many of them were surprised to hear about how often Brockton Wards were sent into the field. They usually only get an incident every couple of months.
Actually untrue. A young Ward does express that they've only been in a three major fights in their first month of joining and Taylor is jellous at that considering her own first few months, but three major fights in one moth is still a large number and there is no indication it is unusual.

No Ward is ever order to fight the likes of Hookwolf. They may engage him when they have no other choice but it's pretty clear that they fight the likes of Boneyard most often while the Protectorate fight the real issues. If anything that seems to be a problem for Taylor. If she thought she could take Hookwolf she would want to, and if ordered not to by Armsmaster she'd be beyond pissed.

That's the problem with Worm...

99% of the problems happened because Jack Slash has the Communication shard....

No One Fucking talks it out!

It's aint even an exxageration.

Sure the Endbringers are bad news and all....

But even They suffer from bad communication skills...

So now I also feel a little bad for Piggot cause she is screwed no matter what she does now. Considering how most fics make me hate her its a new feeling.

Don't feel bad for her. Now she has the opportunity to take advantage of the situation by offering Taylor a place to stay, having the Wards befriend her and directing Taylor's anger away from the PRT/Protectorate/Wards and towards Danny.

And if that doesn't work she has all the legal justification she needs to... I believe the word Piggot used was "curb" Taylor.

So to get away the Danny debate, if Taylor ran away where do you think she went? I put money on her going to New Wave. She may not like the idea of joining them, but they're the only major player in town that she can sign on with to off-set her being forced into the Wards.

Coil - What do you see pet?
Dinah - ... I see Fire... and a shape...
Coil - What shape?
Dinah - The Doom of men... the breaker of worlds... the traveler has come... The Bird... The PHOENIX!
Coil - Who is the phoenix?
Dinah - Ninety nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine *Convulsing*
Coil - Damn! *Exits simulation*

Coil - Damn!
Dinah - Unnng.... nine nine nine nine nine... *Convulsing*
Coil - What the?

Catherine and Minako. She was already heading over to see how she's doing and she knows that Cathy? Dad is totally willing to lie through his teeth to help a capes kid dodge even non abusive parents. Which is really really skeevy.

One does not Simply Gaze into the Abyss.

For Sometimes the Abyss is nothing more than the empty reality that was consumed by the Fire of Resurrection.
