Things are really bad when Marche is our last hope. But eh, you can do it, Marche! With SV guiding your actions you can do anything.

(really i believe in you)

I personally would ix-nay Rostam's shield, because this has all the makings of a stealth mission and a heavy as Hell chunk of metal isn't really what you want on one of those.

At least this wasn't that island that had Helios' extra special red cattle on it. There's no coming back from that...

[X] The buckler Leonardo made for you. It's not going to block Noble Phantasms or anything, but it's light and manoeuvrable and tough.
[X] Something from Astolfo's bag. He left it in his room like a prat and you can't shift it yourself, but maybe you'll get something good from the lucky bag?
[X] Rope. When isn't rope useful?
[X] Fourstam. He is your teacher and the leading authority on these things after all. Sure his vocabulary's distinctly limited at this point, but maybe he can still figure out ways to offer you advice? But then again, you'll never hear the end of anything he sees you do.

[ ] Rostam's shield. Heavy as hell for someone like you, but it's a magic-enhancer too right? With a piece of his Crest it'll probably respond. And if all else fails it'll take a beating.

I'm more inclined to bring this along just in case she manage to break Circe's curse, just so Rostam don't have to run all the way back to the beach. I don't know about her using it herself though. Doesn't inspire confidence purely by how unwieldy it is to Marche.

[ ] The rapier Leonardo made for you. You haven't exactly taken fencing, but it's not rocket science right? Stick them with the pointy end. Plus the other surprise inside.

Likewise this doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Stick to what you know or has a known (albeit still mostly untested) affinity for...

[ ] A grenade. Okay now you're really playing with fire but you know pirates had proto-grenades and if there's a problem that can't be solved with explosions you don't want to encounter it in the first place.

No playing with primitive fire gernade please. It's only fun until you lose a hand which is very likely considering who we're up against. Also the "I have a thermal detonator" trick never works.

[X] Rope.

Rapier is self explanatory, we need something to defend ourselves that isn't going to weigh a metric shitton. If we take Fourstam we have a cute distraction from the crushing reality of the situation we have found ourselves in. Astolfo's bag is the "big thing" here. This whole dealy with the evil witch and the transformy stuff isn't new to Astolfo and I'm sure he has some magic urn flail spell breakery thing in his bag. Or maybe we'll be really lucky and we'll pull out Bradamante. Rope is always useful, we can bargain with it and maybe if we find some planks of wood, Rostam can use his Four Charisma and we can ride into battle on a makeshift sled pulled by our various new animal friends which is gonna make one hell of an impression.

I'll vote in the morn.

Holy fuck Four. More Four. Astolfour. Fourstam. Marche confirmed bnot morga. Omg. Omg.

... Karnafour would be golden

Well this sucks but nobody can say this was completely unexpected since several people argued that trying to raid Age of Gods Greece wasn't going to be simple or easy.

Counterpoint, this has led us to the most amazing moment of this quest so far, so frankly if the world ends because of it then this world wasn't worth saving to begin with.

CIRCE! FUCK YEAH!!

Only problem is we have a bunch of were-primate murders running around cause Astolfo took him along and she got his template. Joy.

Armed Combat HO!

[X] The buckler Leonardo made for you. It's not going to block Noble Phantasms or anything, but it's light and manoeuvrable and tough.

Lighter than the Round Table.

Gacha Bag HO!

[X] Fourstam. He is your teacher and the leading authority on these things after all. Sure his vocabulary's distinctly limited at this point, but maybe he can still figure out ways to offer you advice? But then again, you'll never hear the end of anything he sees you do.

Need I say anything?

Oddly relevant.

....

Dammit.

Right, yeah, the other thing about raiding random islands in the Mediterranean during the Grecian AoG. Should've seen it coming, I even read the Odyssey.

Oh well.

--Also wait, is Medea implying that Four was Circe the entire time?!

Yeah, but not only is her color scheme familiar, she also has Astolfour riding on her shoulder. Pokemon-speak edition.

Given that we last saw actual-Four riding off with Astolfo to scout....

Her dress is an Ancient Greek-style thing in white and gold, shimmering through a hundred other hues as if pearlescent as it flutters around her hips, stretched taut over the pregnant swell of her stomach

Missed it on the first read, but Circe is pregnant? That has a few interesting implications. Probably means Telegonus isn't going to show up, though, which is a shame.

[ ] A pistol. As far as negotiation strategies go "I've got a ruddy gun!" is a strong opener.

I feel like I have to vote for this just for the reference. Even though I don't think Circe's going to be very intimidated.

Given that if another option had won we may never have come here, I don't think Zerban would tie her in like that. I also think Fource would have remembered Marche. And Stheno, and Grumpy Doctor Caster
