[Exalted, ?] Most High

There 1-5 levels for Artifacts and there N/A.

What the difference between 5 and N/A? Is it like the difference between A rank and EX rank for the grail system?

Essentially, yes. An N/A artifact is a category given for one that exceeds the "Normal" scale. Mechanically, they may be only slightly better then a baseline weapon of it's category. But they have an unlimited number of potential Evocations, and are not limited to Essence 5 effects once you've achieved Adamant Mastery of it.

N/A is essentially unique and impossible to replicate. Stuff like the Sword of Creation. Even for a dedicated elder Solar it's something they can't consistently make, nor control the details of.

E: Forgot the evocations.

This is somewhat failing to consider whatever alterations to the mechanics Ody would get through his E6-10 Occult charms.

Pretty much.

Simply put, Sorcery Does not go higher than this. Because it's a mark that even a great Solar will have some difficulty reaching, anything beyond it is out of the scope of "Sorcery" as it's well known, and swings back into "Solar Bullshit".

Anything actually beyond would be purely ST Fiat, and thus, cannot be calculated for.

So Odyssial is going to make the most bitching Sword to ever exist. What would be the name of the weapon?

Sword of Odyssial?

I forget, what actually was the Sword of Creation: a Manse, Hearthstone or Artifact? I'm talking about the giant pillar that dissolves people within observation distance here, not the Imperial Manse.

Almost the entirety of Odyssial's skills are ST-fiat, so it's valid to presume if we specifically choose to be a great Sorcerer he would be ST-fiat level in that, too. I'm not claiming Sorcery goes higher than Adamant, I'm claiming that Odyssial (you might have heard of him: pretty much invincible, designs his own custom optimised E10 charms for all of his areas of focus) would likely replicate the spirit of the Craft tree, but more effectively and applied to Sorcerous Workings.

Is it possible to, from the Core, build an Exalt who can defeat anything not omnipotent, and could destroy the Nasuverse within femtoseconds of being summoned in a weakened form?

[X] Sorcerer of the Adamant Circle

Let's go with that. Bullshit transcendent workings might be challenging even for Ody, but so many problems in Creation could be solved if there was someone arround who could pull that off.

That was a Second Edition artifice. The Sword of Creation itself is back to being rightly mysterious!
I can't decide whether I'm happy or sad about that. I'm pretty sure in the core they didn't actually use the word "Primordials" and kept everything mysterious, which is awesomely evocative and allows for a lot of cool concept space, but I'm awaiting the "You have betrayed me forever!" fans when they contradict something from a previous edition. I quite like the fact that the Yozis aren't a known thing anymore, though.

No, of course not, because the Core provides no support for Exalts that straight up break the system over their knee!

I'm just pointing out that the difficulty of superprojects rises dramatically the higher up you go, and the amount of rolls you get to do it grow further and further. Extrapolating from the growth of the Adamatn Circle Projects. A theoretical Odyssial Circle Spell of Ambition 1 would require something on the lines of a hundred and twenty successes on Difficulty 7, and would take five years of doing nothing else but casting the spell to pull off, and since no Odyssial Circle Sorcerers exist (Including Odyssial!), he can't get support from them, and since no Odyssial Circle Spells exist, he can't get bonuses from those either, so he'd have maybe 8-9 rolls to pull this off with!

Still, largely fighting against the rising tide here, I wish someone else could take my place in arguing for pacifying the Wyld so I can sleep! And hope that we can cover the significant difference in votes.

[X] Subduer of the Wyld

Odyssial as a culture-hero bringing order to chaos has a lot of resonance with myth and legend. Having a connection with the Dragonblooded under his command also means he has hooks in three other Exalted societies, while perpetuating the Story of the End of Stories among the Fae is just awesome. Furthermore I do not view a high fidelity reincarnation as particularly valuable, and I reject preventing the Wracking. Ulyssian has far more opportunities with the Sidereals out of the way and it lends a valuable urgency to his efforts to save Creation.

Uhg, I can't decide. On the one hand, I greatly approve of preventing the Wracking. On the other, I don't want Odyssial's reincarnation plan to work particularly well. Plus, I do like the benefits of Subduer of the Wyld as well.

I'm going to have to abstain here, sorry I can't back you up Alectai.

Simply put, I feel Subduer of the Wyld is better, because it's an measurable Thing we did to improve Creation.

It reduces the damage sustained in the Balorian Crusade by dint of allowing a higher population density and outer borders designed by Odyssial, the most overpowered motherfucker who ever lived. It's a straight up, massive, objective thing we can wave before and say "I have expanded the borders of the world further then anyone else, and created a bulwark against any threat". Even beyond that, do note that "Ensuring the Wracking doesn't occur" doesn't mean that'll be a good thing for Ulyssian, because fully unshackled Elder Sidereals are going to absolutely make a mockery of him-there's a very good reason that no Exaltations on the Blessed Isle itself ever escape, it's because that place is watched like a hawk in canon.

Even beyond that... We gain a loyal cadre of Dragon Blooded who will side with us in the Usurpation, which may buy time and energy to preserve other details--or we can distribute them as sleepers to be activated when Odyssial Rides Again, and one of the chief weaknesses of the previous iteration is that we had little to no ability to project power at the supernatural scale beyond our own personal self--having surviving Odyssian Loyalists to spread the word and remember their oaths increases our ability to become relevant in the Age of Sorrows.

Plus, I'm fond of the ideal of the Chosen remaining unified as they should be under the banner of Odyssial, as a standing monument to what their combined might can achieve. Sorcerer completely marginalizes the Dragon Blooded in favor of concentrating even more power towards the highest levels, and guarantees that many of our achievements will fall to dust in the ages because nobody is able to maintain them anymore

Thanks Alectai, you have convinced me, wasn't sure which option to pick, frankly I wanted both but I couldn't decide which of the two to pick between. I'll choose this option unless I see a better argument for Sorcery.

[X] Subduer of the Wyld

You know I had a thought, if this is the epoch before the Usurpation. Does choosing Subduer mean that operation Wyldhand never happens? With the strategos taking personal interest in the Wyld those decadent solars might not get the chance to make that atrocity happen.

[X] Subduer of the Wyld

Thinking about it Cavalier is kind of right.
Preventing the Wracking has always been a mixed blessing at best and that was without considering that without it there is considerably less narrative urgency for Ulyssian to get his shit together and save Creation as opposed to just making sure he isn't killed while he powers up enough to beat the shit out of everyone else.

Bearing in mind that I haven't been keeping track of your reasoning, specifically:
You can still get Sorcery and keep the Wracking.

You heard it here folks a vote for Sorcerer is a vote for millions of dead mortals, take the moral route and choose Subduer!

Or you know taking sorcery might help prevent the Wracking and lead to stronger Sids down the line. So going meta it is either helping the people that Odyssial is meant to protect or help his enemies stay strong and in power years down the line. Both has pros and cons?

The Wracking too would lead to millions of dead mortals. Only they're a bigger portion of surviving mortals in Creation at the time
Only if Ulyssian fails to protect Creation.

Look we're going to be exalting in a probably public fashion in the middle of a Dragonblooded Academy, we do not need to make things even harder by having a fate ninja hitsquad being sent after us.
