[Exalted, ?] Most High

Putting the Time Dilation zone outside of Luseng would greatly diminish its economic and other value. You can put it somewhere hidden, but it'll be hard to perform world-spanning Workings if it's too small, and then you'll just spend all your time inside of it, which would somewhat defeat the point of staying in Luseng.
wait, you are saying we will time dilate the entire city? nice.

Also, personally I only want to use luseng as a stepping stone for seizing control of the realm and perpetuating immaculate heresy. Its long past due for the DBs to fight alongside the solars openly once again

On leaving Luseng, now or later, would a Working that allows limited teleportation be allowed? Something like a gateway that can be opened at dawn to anywhere within Creation (no Shadowlands, Wyld, etc), though only to a place which the user knows through visiting or scrying. And also, at twilight, the ones who have stepped through the portal can also open it back to the origin of gate from anywhere.

Considering how rare and hard truly fast travel is in Creation, I would suggest some limitations, like that it can be only used once a season for one teleport from it and back to it. Maybe also with the same maximum traveler number that favored Travel Without Distance spell has, with the Essence rating taken from the one activating it. And throw a longer "travel-sickness" effect in too.

This could be extremely useful for going to take care of business of collecting Odyssial's shinies by allowing skipping closer to our destination with scrying it or something close there, and then teleporting back after business is concluded or crisis strikes Luseng again. To keep in touch partially, check in peridiocally with favored Infallible Messenger to monitor the situation and deliver directives. All while using Stormwind Rider to cruise towards our targets at 100 miles per hour with one hour cool-down of 50 mile instant teleport.

There's no real long-term advantage to staying in Luseng, and a lot of disadvantages; like the need to continue the charade as a loyal Dragonblooded and being in a very accessible place for Any Syn to drop in on with as many Immaculate masters and Second Circle Demons as she can gather up. At this point interacting with the more powerful Elder Exalts and recovering Odyssial's caches would make Ulyssian more powerful and give him more options.

I would not be averse to a bit of cleaning up beforehand, though. If we kill or terrify Ragnar we should be able to neuter the beastman threat. And Lily should be up for helping us wreck the Fae before we leave.

Would you agree on cleaning up, boosting at least Moon with Sorcery, then leaving to gather our caches and allies? But after that, I could see us returning to Luseng to take it back and making it our powerbase. With allies like Lea on our side, holding Luseng and even ruling it openly would be much more feasible while taking away the need for Ulyssian to pretend not being a Solar.

Working on more Working -ideas. This time, a personal augmentation. Instead of accelerating Ulyssian, how about cursed eyes that can be activated to slow down his target, the more the longer they remain in his sight? High Essence mitigates how fast the effect gets worse, but even to those with Essence higher than Ulyssian's the only way to avoid the effect is dodge his gaze. Could have some visual effect that is extremely obvious like with the Eye of the Unconquered Sun.

I'm all okay with leaving Luseng once we don't have to worry about the enemies surrounding it destroying Luseng(we are literally 75% of it's military strength), have someone competent running it, and have explored that mountain since I really want to know what's so special about that mountain that something is killing anything that tries to go too deep.

Oh and we don't has to worry about Anys destroying our Satrapy and everyone in it. Including our friends if we leave them there. If it's possible I want a teleport beacon so we can go back there if we're truly needed.

As Cavalier mentioned in Luseng is overall suboptimal to getting stronger and if Uly is prioritizing getting stronger he'll see that. Sorcery could fix that but event then it's not a gurantee it would be better than going to look for Lea. Plus using Sorcery like that means we no longer give any fucks about hiding our nature from at least the people of Luseng. So we have to consider that.

Yeah, I don't want to stay in Luseng for too long, but I would approve of killing Ragmar and the Fae before we go. The City is pretty strong, after all. We can use our new-found sorcery to help it out.

We can always come back once we're done.

If we want a bit meta game perspective, try to disappear and go out of Luseng to avoid Anys troop is not too bad.

Actually Anys going to Luseng while
we aren't there is bad as she could attack the city to try and draw us out. If we don't take our friends with us then they'll be in grave danger considering Anys alone is substantially stronger than Even Lily who is our only Ally at Luseng close to our strength level.

Well, the point is if we go full Ody,,,if you don't have chance to win,Are you want to fight her?

I think that will put us to made another choice, atleast we know OOC that Anys will not kill moon, other people is suboptimal.:p

Let's get a final-ish vote count and I'll review the arguments (ugh) one last time. In the meantime, do you guys have any ideas for what you're going to say to Moon / Nilul?

iunno, Anys might be batshit insane, but I got a feeling she knows that her chance of actually killing Odyssial would greatly decrease if she went on to attack our interest and make it a total war with Ulyssian who just lost a lot of things he had intimacy toward, and is now going near-totality Odyssial mode to rectify that.

her chance of killing Ulyssian is significantly higher when he's still on the scrublord exalt mode trying to pretend he had any semblance to human emotion, attack things that makes him decided "yeah, fuck this shit" and drop his facade, then it'd be road to usurpation 2.0

[X] Embrace the Clarity[+250,000 XP, (permanent) 2x modifier to XP generation] - This is not an external mental influence. What it is, is the removal of all distraction, all mental impurities, all the fleeting and purposeless stimuli that constantly assail the mind. What it is, is the triumph of the will, the extermination of weakness and vice. For a man can only live with one purpose - to do otherwise is to be at war with one's self. Even after Limit Break ends, Uly will understand that the fastest way to grow stronger is to unlock Odyssial's memories, force the Exaltation to perform as it did under Odyssial, and that only strength can save this wretched Creation. He will re-orient his priorities accordingly.

[X] Resist the Clarity[-250,000 XP of any kind] - You can make no justifiable arguments to defend this option; it is most assuredly a titanic waste of power and will. Nonetheless, the choice is yours. If successful, you will snap out of your current Limit Break. On an exceptional success, future Limit Breaks will confine themselves to optimizing towards the problem at hand, hopelessly short-sighted as that may be. Accept that millions, tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions will die that you could have saved. Accept diminishment.

I'm sure she thinks you're already full Odyssial - why else would she go to Hell?

Now that I checked the page numbers when using the vote counter, I noticed that we've had thirty pages of discussion and arguments on this issue. Good times, good times.

Mmm. At least it wasn't as long as the debate over whether to give Moon Ambition. I think that one raged for over a thousand posts!

Huh. 11 vote lead for Embrace over blue and yellow combined. More than I expected.
Why? This is the Reddest of Red options! How could the Thread not love it? So many delicious XPs! Even I can see that even though I truly don't want to go that way!

*shrugs* ah well, it seems we're off a-MurderHoboing!

I don't think the thread has voted for any red options before this one. Or at least none of the important ones.

I might be mistaken, though.

Ugh, I'm uninspired about writing that omake advocating staying in Luseng for a little while, especially now that Rihaku is likely offering it as a choice. I think I'll reserve my creative energies for later.
