[Exalted, ?] Most High

It would take several days, if not weeks of pure traveling just to reach their strongholds, and then you'd have to hunt down all their members, assuming you even win.... that could potentially take ages and turn into a drawn-out, bloody quagmire, unless you want to travel with the Legion. But traveling with the Legion would take about 4x longer.

Of course, if you had Sorcery, you personally would be able to move faster, though the guerilla warfare issue is still a real one unless you get Heaven Sword Flash to work out to long / extreme range. But you guys don't have Four-Bladed Heavenly Emperor Stance.
Well, that the point isn't it?If we can not win against them,Can we win against other threat in creation?.

Think of battle with them as measurement unit to test our ability.

Every plan no matter seem flawless in planning stage, alway need adjustment to made them reflect reality.

And the greatest assest of Luseng and creation is alway us.

Hm. I suppose Death Ray would also be a semi-acceptable alternative, as long as you can destroy the Mass Combat units fast enough to literally slaughter them all. But that's kind of a dick move; they're just innocent beastmen who were oppressed by the Realm! For a given value of innocent.

For those of you who say that chosing Embrace Clarity doesn't mean accepting Great Curse, think again.
Choosingbyhis mean we will follow Odyssial patch of pursuing more and more personal power that lead to modification of Curse and discourage any action that would lead to lessening of said power if only by making competing options more shiny in comparison.
Curse make us stroger, this can mot be contested, we also know that only patch to lessen Exaltation is for it's wielder to accept auch lessening.
So will you sacrifice some of our power contain Odyssial's insanity or will you sacrifice Ulyssian humanity in name of power and utility.
I've already spoken up on this before, but I'll say it again: Odyssial's Limit Break is probably the safest and least harmful Limit Break in the history of Limit Breaks. It takes into account the short and long terms, and honestly and faithfully serves to aid Odyssial to the utmost of it's capabilities, while also minimizing the damage it does. No other Limit Break does this.

As a reminder, the Neverborn only managed the Great Curse in the first place because the curse inherently improves upon an Exaltation. An Exaltation cannot under any circumstances be lessened, only improved; which the Great Curse actually does, albeit with a horrible drawback. The mechanical result of Limit Breaking is statistically better than the original system the exaltation utilized to handle Limit, and the actually Limit Break itself is so intrinsically tied to the character of the Exalt that it appears as that person simply suffering to a lapse of emotional/character extremes.

Odyssial arguably took the only possible method to treat the Great Curse possible and improved upon his Limit Break, taking away a lot of the worst aspects of it.

Imagine if you had just gotten Heart of Flint - or worse, the variable self-optimizing 3E version of Limit!

Isn't 3E Limit basically 'your limit break is whatever your ST says it is, at an appropriately dramatic moment'?

Also, because it seriously needs to be pointed out; 'Diminishment' is seriously not in any form a 'safe' out in any circumstance. Mostly because acting only to solve the immediate problem in the most efficient and effective manner possible is rife with problems to bite us in the ass. For example, when we Limit Broke over the corruption and inefficiency of the viziers and the bureaucracy, our current Limit Break pointed out how ultimately we're better served acquiring the full knowledge and wisdom of our past life because that was the most efficient path to accomplish our overall goal; so we just offed the viziers with an afterthought and were preparing to go on our merry way.

With the diminished Limit Break, we'd probably not only kill the viziers; but do so in a manner that would probably be infinitely more messy and gruesome than our current methods. Or, in the example provided of having to choose to sacrifice a million to save a billion; the diminished would actually force us to save the million and damn the billion to death, simply because the million are the immediate problem and the billion aren't.

Yeah, I am not into massacring desperate people who had no other choice. For the abyssals, we allied with Lily who is pretty much willing to make peace with the other factions. Now, we will help her take over. You said we could gain a similar kind of alliance with someone in the Fae Freehold.

Well the Fae ally is working against Empress Slay and is apparently not so bad as Raksha go given Rihaku gave us a choice of allying with her though we can't now that we've allied with Lily but we COULD possibly setup a non-aggression pact/peace treaty with them

Actually, The Lily has an undying hatred of your only possible Fae ally, so unless you want to sever your alliance with her you'll have to help her kill them at some point.

Another reason to embrace clarity - the Fae would recognize us as the terrible Ender of Stories and would probably flee from us. Or toss themselves upon our blade for the glory of having their story ended by the mighty Odyssial reborn.

Ya, no.
We either stay in Luseng or take everyone with us when we leave.
You never split the party, especially if the weaker member in it have huge ass price on their heads.

This may be canon but not for quest jere, we have sids as evidence and Rihaku said in one of his posts one of requirements for this.
Notice how as soon as Anys was willing to face the consequences of whatever threat got her to Wrack herself she immediately unWracked herself?

Edit:
Also, Wracking sucks enormously, so using it as an example analagous to your goal isn't that good of an idea.

It massively crippled the Sidereals, gave them amnesia and stopped them from using Sidereal Martial Arts.

Edit2:
In fact, voluntarily lessening the Sidereal Exaltations is explicitly a reason Creation is in such dire straights. Excuse me if I don't choose to weaken the one guy who has a pretty certain bet on saving it WHILE ALSO making him not focus on saving it.

An Exaltation can be altered. An Exaltation can even be warped. But an Exaltation cannot be lessened, save by the will of its bearer.
Hete's quote.
It can only be lessened BY THE WILL OF ITS BEARER so the Sids were only weakened because they CHOSE to be, the Great Curse CANNOT weaken or lessen an Exaltation
You misunderstood what I tried to convey.
1. You can weaken Exaltation, it's possible.
2. I never said that Curse weakened exalts, wuite contrary.
3. To remove Curse we must want to lessen our power.

Which is stupid since that would make us more vulnerable when we can just CHANGE the curse so that its beneficial for us like what Odyssial did since its the same thing as a Devil-tiger creating their own Excellency

Do you have a proposal that would be more useful to Ulyssian than Odyssial's Limit Break?

No I was just explaining why it would be silly to "lessen" ourselves just to get rid of the curse when we've already managed to deal with it in a way for now and besides we don't really know enough to really create a new version of Odyssial's limit break tailored to Uly that would be more useful for him.

And it worked so well in the past. Last time we paid with our emotions for control (for given value of control but still) and we were more powerful then. What do you want to exchange now?

What are you talking about? Odyssial modified his limit break to be beneficial to HIM since it just helps him do things he normally would just like how a Devil Tiger's excellency is beneficial to them because it rewards them for acting like they would normally

...I think I'm going to back away from the argument, because with the misunderstanding/misinformation/etc I'm not going to get embroiled in this. Feel free to tag me or something when @Rihaku updates a new Chappy.

As far as reasons to stay in Luseng goes - well, first off, does everyone want to stay in Luseng? We've never actually had a vote on it. But as far as the reasons go, if you're just saying it's to protect Luseng - well, The Lily can protect Luseng, and while Uncle Pan isn't capable of running the city near as well as you would (with the Crown), things probably would get worse only slowly since he is both active and powerful as a City Father. Assuming Ragmar doesn't attack and The Lily can be trusted, etc. But there are assets there, formidable ones.

I don't particularly care about staying in Luseng. If however that's the price to pay in order for embrace to win I'm perfectly fine with it.
