[Exalted, ?] Most High

This is probably not going to be a full month of training, so probably not; it depends on circumstance, if the war starts you may not get any training time at all. What you are voting for is your priority. Also, if you could train over 320,000 XP, Sorcery would be competing with Wake the Sleeper.

More than a bit messy and probably not 100% accurate. but whatever.
@Gerrou, never remove the invisitext at the top of the tally.
That is there to tell script bot not to count your tally as a vote.

This is quite tormenting choice to make. I was pretty much set for Strategos, but there have been some very good arguments for Sorcery. And besides buffing our allies and creating new beings, the other Workings we could make are also pretty damn sweet. Maybe things like a war-room with self-updating map able to gather information with its magic from all the Creation, curses against forces invading regions and blessings for defending them, Workings that purge Shadowlands, etc.

Besides those benefits, it also just seems so damn interesting! Sorcerous might has its own, raw appeal. And as this might be our last chance to get it... Yeah, switching my vote.

I am laughing inside at the sight you saw when you ran the tally program.
Well, if it's just one person you have just one guy, who apparently voted for everything.
Bit annoying to track down the actual vote and fix everything, but typically you just have to follow his own tally, which you now have a convenient seven links to.

The real nightmare is if five different people deigned to tally improperly between now and the last update.

Indeed; you should assume that high performing Celestial Exalts behave like PCs, though less inconsistent. For example, if you guys were playing Ayala, Mighty Sorceress, would YOU back down in the face of intimidation? Or would you damn the torpedoes and rush full speed ahead into a confrontation with this obvious and arrant bully, trusting in your superlative capacity to handle his strength?

Depends. If I've just saw him waste someone like Polemgaos, I would probably be of a mind to listen to the guy, pride be damned.
Edit: I would try to kill him later tough.

It wasn't really an open vote any more, I didn't think we'd get any more voters. That's why I said not to bother re-voting.
Does that mean the vote's been decided, or it was re-opened? As it kind of affects the build vote.

But we have been told the other contestants know Ulyssian is not actually much stronger than them. And PCs woudn't be affected by the effect of intimidation itself.

We have ? I got the impression that intimidation wouldn't straigth out terrify them but still have some effect. And saying someone is not much stronger than oneself is one thing, but there is still the fact that this someone doesn't apparently care about power levels as he's just proved, so that wouldn't be a great comfort to me.

Even if we could, I don't want to get Wake the Sleeper until we're E5 (and if at all possible have Astrological buffing). Because ~8 E5 Evocations is better than ~8 E4 ones.

Still, that'd probably be a hard vote to argue against, as it's insanely cost-effective.

You can use it once per story, you just have to but an equal XP cost of Evocations in the intervening time period.

More than a bit messy and probably not 100% accurate. but whatever.

Thanks, that is enlightening. Hm... Still largely anti-war, though.

The vote was closed, but the decision point is still being decided on arguments and stuff. However, with the vote that lopsided, it's not looking good for War.

The character may still feel fear, but they could choose to channel that fear into hatred and anger, as I imagine the PCs would do if the Unconquered Sun descended to force you to kneel or die. Of course, mechanically they'd still be compelled to take the action, unless thry spent willpower to resist, but spending willpower to resist isn't particularly hard.

Hm. It seems sorcery may be winning on arguments now. Do note that, while it has many advantages, Sorcery does not let you ace the Naval Exams with flying colors in only one day of studying.

Do you guys have any plans for what you're to do, if you're not going to take credit for intentionally killing him?

*Blindly assumes that's going to happen*
No.

*Realises defiance is futile and buckles under*
Have Ulyssian admit culpability while knowing that given the information he had he took the optimal path, as always, and as such there's nothing to feel guilty about. Resolve to redouble training to make up for a deficit in Creation's power.

*Realised the best option and the second best option have both been knocked out of the running*
Have Ulyssian feel great remorse and sorrow over accidentally and unavoidably killing a mass-murderer who would have gladly murdered him in a duel, and resolve to not act optimally in case he excels too hard in future.

Edit:
Only slightly more seriously (I was pretty serious above):
Don't get sanctioned for it. Express remorse but it was a duel where deaths have been known to occur, and as such you are in the right.
