Emma Barnes, Princess (Worm/Princess the Hopeful Quest)

[X] Plan Raum!

Which is
[] Grace
-[] Presence
[] Swords

I'm torn, rereading the splats, between Swords and Diamonds. Swords would certainly fit Emma, but Diamonds would pretty much embody her motivation (make the world better with smartnesses).

But people don't want to play the standard SV smart protagonist, so what can I do?

Great! Can you put that in plan format? It'll make things easier to count.

Will we be only revoting for the court or the other options as well, because as I know only the court option was that contentious and close.

For what it's worth, i'll be casting my vote as

[X] Grace
-[X] Presence
[X] Swords

Since it's somewhat close to a lot of the things storm voters wanted, but without the baggage that storms or the twilight courts in general bring.

This is a total start over, so I thought might as well revote for the other stuff.

When did that become her motivation?

As a rebuttal to this, I'll note that I plan to take tempesta as a secondary invocation if plan leader wins, which will have a similar effect IMO.

Well, I'll point out that invocations won't be chosen till after this vote is done, and that whether or not you choose your vote or mine won't really have a impact on it. If the people want tempesta, theirs nothing stopping from picking my plan then getting it.

I'm simply doing my best to replicate something akin to what storm voters might have wanted with the options that we have to vote on at the moment, while also making it much less dark and paltable to the rest of the voters.

My point is that we can have tempesta either way so we should take Hearts here so as to avoid the thematic overlap with swords/storms and better serve those who wanted Hearts in the first vote.

Tbf, Hearts was a bit of a compromise vote, and I feel like Swords has some important differences from storms that are worth considering. Furthermore, it means that even if Tempesta invocations don't win (which is a fair chance) because people are still to uncomfortable with the fluff or like another invocations mechanics better, people sill get something close. Even if Swords AND Tempesta wins, there's still a lot of interesting thematic space of a person in the sword court dipping towards the methods or ideology of the storms.

For that matter, picking Grace and presence as our transformed attribute also means are strengths and method of doing things skirts into heart territory.

Considering the fact that the greatest stronghold of hearts voters, QQ, is now gone, in combination with tempesta's overwhelming mechanical advantages, and the fact that storms was winning before, I highly doubt we will be unable to get 1-2 tempesta dots in.

Hmm, Hearts seems to make sense given Emma's stats, but I'd like to go with Clubs, Diamonds, or Spades if possible. I literally know nothing about her besides what's on the first page though. Those of you who are familiar with Worm, do any of these three make sense for her? If not, I'd probably go with Hearts.

[X] Grace (Choose Presence or Manipulation for one Transformed Attribute dot)
Now we are playing by the Dream Version, which follows NWoD's God-Machine Chronicles Rules update.
I just checked the Dream PDF, and it's actually Presence or Composure in that version. The wiki uses the Vocation version.

Her Pre-trauma personality probably fits Spades. Maybe Clubs. Certainly not Diamonds. Sword would mean a change of personality, but an acceptable one (Gaining passion and drive out of the blossoming). Hearts i don't actually think fits her too much.

Note that we don't know much about Emma before her incident, and later her personality is completely different, being basically a lot of self-loathing covered by denial.

[X] Plan Oh God I Have No Idea What I'm Doing Or What's Going On

[X] Nothing - you choose to be Courtless
[X] Troubadour
- [X] Presence

Even the sudden moment of hope couldn't do enough to break through the lack of certainty and doubt Emma had - and in some ways it made it worse. Now she finds that her previous talent with fashion is suddenly amplified (to the extent that she can generate clothes from nowhere when she transforms), and she's... clueless. All she has to go on is her gut and her eye for beauty. She wishes that she had someone who could tell her what on earth is going on, but she doesn't have that. So she's just going to have to do the best she can. She feels it in her gut.
