The old Dam is both a potential source of old technology and a guaranteed source of power and fresh water. Not only would this be useful for trading, the bottleneck for ARCHIMEDES II's charging sequence seems to be HELIOS ONE's power generation. If you simply find a way to transmit power from the Dam to ARCHIMEDES II you could potentially decrease the charge time by an order of magnitude.Also, Hardin says that it would be a strategic point if you fought the Legion.

It is much easier to spy on someone if they don't think you're capable of doing so. Spread the Brotherhood's reputation as naive, straight-laced, honour-bound, goody-two-shoes with heavy weaponry. You think there are a few Paladins from the East Coast among your chapter, you hear they're great at propaganda.

TL; DR:
- Secure strategic positions as bulwarks against both the NCR and the Legion, make sure neither can interfere in the Mojave for the time being.
- Destroy the NCR-Legion caravan. The high probability of a better armed Legion is not worth a paltry few supplies we can acquire by other means anyway.
- Extra actions across the board. The ability to do more stuff in one turn is always, always OP in quests. We're going to need it to deal with all the forces stacked against the BoS.
- Begin establishing our relationship with Veronica. Because it's Veronica, you guys! Plus, this quest can do with more character interaction.
- Begin a bit of trade and start laying the groundwork for industry.
Next turn we can concentrate on increasing faction relations. Establishing recruitment bases will be absolutely critical - we absolutely must gain the ability to replace losses.
