It has suffered for millennials, is not like our nephew's corruption case that are mere seconds compare to it's thousands of years of corruption and it has entire civilizations' blood on it's hand not just mere villages.

The AI is too far gone and even if we clean it from its madness it would just change level from maniacal genocider to sane genocider still holding hatred for humanity, the only difference is that it would be more efficient and logical in its genocide of civilizations.

Besides, the C'tan are a whole different level they aren't mystical corruption like Shard of Winter or Warp corruption like the Chaos Gods, they are eldritch in nature and we are not well-knowledgable in dealing with forces that gave the Old Ones themselves a hard time.

[X] Put it to rest.

Phew, that's a relief. It still doesn't change that the AI killed entire civilizations for thousands of years tho, it is basically AM from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, removing it's insanity and at best it would become Skynet.

I mean we are an exalt, we can also give it super therapy so it won't do that. The problem is not that we can't do this, it's that the odds are too low and the failure condition too bad.

but I thought the reason the C'tan were sharded because killing them would Damaged reality
Yes. Killing a full Ctan has consequdnces, though not as you think it does. Also this was a shard. So there are consequences but not as bad as killing a full Ctan.

Keep in mind the flayers killed a Ctan and it did not overtly damage reality. Ctan also ate each other. So expect consequences if you kill a Ctan but not ones you are thinking of.

Is Emperor aware of how cybertronic rebellion began? I am not willing to save AI if Emperor sees him and then try to kill us all being a accomplice of most prolific butcher of humanity.

I mean... pot meet kettle. The second most prolific butcher of humanity is probably the Emperor, unless you count the old ones for making orcs.
I do not think Emperor even came close to the number of people killed by Men of Iron. Plus you should consider Eldars as well for the contender of that Exalted rank of 2nd most prolific butcher of humanity.

Yes. AI rebelled for a number of reasons and the Emperor is VERY aware of most of them.

He will not try to kill the AI but will definitely push to have it bound, for some very good reasons.
